All we want for Christmas is our BFP! All aboard the December Bus...

Starting the boarding for the December Bus...

My history if anyone is interested:-

DS1 in October 2012. Started ttc for dc2 last September. Got BFP in the November but MC'd at 5 weeks.
Fast forward to July, got another bfp. Started bleeding on August Bank Holiday weekend and found out we had MMC at 11 weeks. Had ERPC a week later. 5 weeks later after still getting positive hpts, found out the ERPC had been completely unsuccessful and had to have whole bloody procedure again.

Anyway. Now got my first proper period after all the above bullshit and hoping for bfp on or before the 18th December

DH doesn't know when I'm fertile, I don't want it to kill the mood! At the moment he's happy to DTD whenever I'm up for it so he doesn't need to know Wink as far as he's aware we're just 'seeing what happens', he doesn't know I'm tracking everything!!

Name: Baby40
Age: 25
TTC: #1
Cycle: 12
ETD: Dec 11th

I am TTC baby number 1. Have been trying for 3 months and all I want for Christmas is to tell my hubby we are expecting! I have a cyst on my ovary and am praying this isn't effecting my chances as it hasn't happened yet. Been off the mini pill for 5 months X

queenoftheworld93 · 22/11/2015 20:34

My DP is even more excited than me so he wants to know every little detail. He keeps asking to borrow my phone to look at my fertility apps Smile it's quite cute how eager he is.

quitecrunchy · 22/11/2015 21:02

Thanks Expat and queen for the replies on the pre-seed, good to know that it can be done surreptitiously and without too much faff!

Mimi how long ago did you have AF? Was it the same as normal? Sorry you're having such a bewildering time. You're in good company here though!

Sakura yeah I tell my DH when I'm in the window according to the Ovia app and then when I get a +ve OPK. He likes to be in the loop, but without too much commentary. CM update is a step too far apparently Smile

bailey23 · 22/11/2015 22:16

DH doesn't know when I'm fertile, and he doesn't know I know when I'm fertile. He knows I put my period dates into an app, but he doesn't have a clue that I tell that app when we DTD, what my boobs feel like and what side of my body I get cramps on etc lol! Although he is amazed with some of the knowledge I come out with about TTC

SeriousStuff · 22/11/2015 22:59

Am I going mad in thinking that my breasts are incredibly big tonight?! EWCM only finished 2 days ago so would be way too early for any symptom spotting, wouldn't it...?

Mimilicious013 · 23/11/2015 07:50

Serious i don't think u are mad.i think ttc just makes us aware of everything happening to our bodies.its a crazy journey lol.
Thanks Crunchy u guys are surely great company.i can't imagine sharing all my symptoms, lows with dh.it would definitely put him off.l woke up feeling better after bd.kkk.maybe my nausea was down to ovulating, read somewhere that u can get o pains.
Im with Mini in not telling dh my fertile time.i just make him feel like a stud(as if he is irresistible)and it works always.Welcome Baby
Celen ,Mini ,Bailey ,Sakura ,Expat,Grace Queen hope u all are doing well and what cd is everyone.trying out anything new to get a bfp ?

MiniLop · 23/11/2015 09:20

I'm CD17 today, might DTD again tonight just in case, then I guess I'm in the 2WW! Going to try not to symptom spot as I had no symptoms at all with DS...!

Raeside · 23/11/2015 09:48

This whole process is so utterly maddening!

Sunnydays321 · 23/11/2015 09:55

Hi everyone. Iv caught up on the thread. Can I join? TTC no 1.
Came off pill in July. Only had one period since (98 day 1st cycle).
Had my 1st positive OPK over the weekend on cycle day 33... Better late than never. Not tryin too hard at the moment, just seeing what happens, doing the deed as and when, same as before. Think 2x coincided with fertile window so due AF/ BFP approx 6th December. X

Namethattune · 23/11/2015 11:07

I've just booked an acupuncture appointment for Thursday. My sister had acupuncture when ttc dc2, and got a bfp within 6 weeks, so I've decided to give it a go. It'll be nice to feel like I'm actually doing something positive towards ttc.

Mimilicious013 · 23/11/2015 12:14

Mimilicious013 · 23/11/2015 12:56

Sorry for double post.am using a phone and it's acting up on me.

Writerwannabe83 · 23/11/2015 15:59

Hi all, I'm looking to join the bus please Grin

I have a DS (who is 20 months old) and I'm seeing my GP on Wednesday to have my Mirena removed so me and DH can TTC number 2.

I had a complicated pregnancy the first time round (I also have health issues) and me and DH said we would stop at one child but over the last 9 months I have really been having the urge for a second baby. Me and DH had spoke it about a few times (well, I made him talk about it) but he was always adamant he didn't want another baby.

However, last night, after discussing it yet again he calmly said, "OK, let's have another baby then," and I'm still gobsmacked really.

We are 32/33 years old.

I'm not sure if the December bus is where I should be but once my Mirena is out I hope to TTC straight away so who knows, a December BFP may be a possibility?

I'm still BF'ing DS so my periods are all over the place, there is no pattern to them at all, in fact having the Mirena just made things go even more haywire. I have a minimum of two episodes of bleeding each month and the lengths of them vary. There's no sense or logic to anything period related in my body which won't help TTC I predict.

Anyway - I just wanted to say hello to you all and now I'm going to read back through the whole thread Smile

Namethattune · 23/11/2015 16:01

Mimi I don't know how often I'm going to have to go until I have my first appointment on Thursday. I'm hoping not too often, as I can't bloomin' afford it!

SeriousStuff · 23/11/2015 20:58

Mini I started my 2WW today. But I reckon I'll probably test once in a week's time...

MiniLop · 23/11/2015 22:17

Serious I'm going to test on 30th because I'm still hanging around on the November bus!! Not even sure if I have OV'd this month at all, not feeling confident about it I have to say. Ran out of OV tests though and don't want to buy any more in case I don't need them!!

Pugmummy87 · 23/11/2015 22:19

Hi all, also looking to join the December bus.

Name:Pugmummy87
TTC #1
Cycle #1
Age: 28 (nearly 29)
ETD: approx 2nd Dec

This is the first cycle I've been tracking with temp, cm etc. We've been not actively trying to prevent a pregnancy for a while. I have PCOS and my cycles can be erratic, so by charting I'm hoping to more accurately guess when I'm ovulating. I use the FF app. According to that, I ovulated on the 18th, so will shall see.

I'd really love to get a bfp, several friends have recently announced pregnancies over the past few months, I just want it to happeN now, although I know that the pcos might make it harder.

Have also realised I'm rubbish at remembering to take vitamins, I'm a bloody midwife as well, so you'd think I'd be hot on it lol!

OwlinaTree · 23/11/2015 22:40

Hi all, hi writer I remember you from the night time breast feeding thread (waves). When I had my coil removed the doctor said to have a period before TTC so they may say the same to you, just to warn you.

Good luck all, I'm just starting the week of ov, so lots of dtd over the weekend and hopefully this week! We'll be worn out!

Sunnydays321 · 23/11/2015 23:08

Hi pug mummy! I'm also a midwife, nearly 28... And your post just reminded me to get out of bed and take my folic acid! I'm so pants at remembering. Do as I say, not as I do! Right! X

Pugmummy87 · 23/11/2015 23:27

Hi Sunnydays! Absolutely do as I say, not as I do. I'm hoping I'll get better at remembering!

Kellz92 · 23/11/2015 23:53

Hi All! Im Kelly-Ann.

LG is 3 in January. thought we didn't want another but over last year have decided we do. Had a miscarriage in March at about 5 weeks. In July we decided that it was time to try again and came off the pill, but I had to have an operation so this is our first cycle properly trying! Im currently CD6 so AF will be due on the 16th...hopefully she doesn't arrive!

Good Luck to you all! x

AddictedtoGreys · 24/11/2015 07:33

Raeside · 24/11/2015 08:31

So, is a line is a line is a line is a line, no matter if you have to turn the IC precisely 37 degrees to the NorthEast on a Thursday under a strip light, wearing baby blue and crossing your eyes to see it?
