DH and I bought each other advent calendars this year. We do it every year.
I bought him a whiskey calendar
He bought me gin one.
We didn't confer, pure coincidence!!!

In the interests of not putting my life on hold i want to still enjoy Christmas.

Haha love that china we've not done calendars, mainly because I completely forget and then on the 23rd remember and give it to my dsis. But she's gluten intolerant now so she can't have a lot of chocolate!

We have spurts of loads of chatting and then intermittent chatting, but we keep it bumbling along! I've had to work bully Dh up to ttc, he wanted to wait a couple of years but I've managed to convince him up to a point now! So gradually getting him used to "purposeful sex" for want of a better phrase, has been interesting!

On another note, the pregnancy test in television thing! I'd never noticed it before now,and then I was watching 'how I met your mother' on netflix earlier, and there is an episode where Lily is 5 days late on her period, does a pregnancy test, and then immediately gets arrested for public urination. Time elapses and Marshall picks her up from the police station, she tells him about the pregnancy test and says she hasn't looked at it yet, so doesn't know either way, but when she does, it's negative. And aaaaaaall I could think was "you're out of the time frame! Its been longer than 5 minues! It's an inaccurate test now!"

Can't argue with that

We DTD last night and I'm pleased to say no condoms were used! I was convinced OH was going to panic but he just went for it and was very excited afterwards that we could possibly have made a baby (I'm not in my fertile window but didn't point that out!). So now we are actually having real life purposeful sex!!!

Probably TMI but I was panicking afterwards about everything leaking out. Usually after DTD I go and clean everything up, but didn't this time so it as odd. I know it probably makes no difference but I think the irrational fears have started!

Good effort pink! Yeah lying around in the stuff for ten minutes does feel weird doesn't it.

Have a meeting with my boss at the end of next week about going back to work. I am feeling better, I've been using learning piano as a destress technique (I can't stress about stuff while I'm playing because it takes all my concentration) but I'm still worried that when I go back I'll start to stress out again. I'm thinking of trying to move jobs to something less stressful. Wish I was going back upduffed so that I knew I'd only be there for a few months then off for however long, but still have my fingers crossed for a Christmas Day BFP

My news (tmi, sorry) is that my mysterious missing period arrived on cd52 and it has been the most painful and heavy one I've ever had. Still no idea why it was so late/early? (I have 32 day cycles so it's come before I would've expected my next one) but pleased my body is kind of functioning again. Ovia has just predicted next period in 28 days time so not sure it's really taking into account my info. Do you find it's accurate for you? bunch did you conceive when you thought you would?

Hi Harriet Sorry to hear it was a rough one but yeah I know what you mean about it being bittersweet that body is getting back to normal. Can't say it has been accurate for me but I'm only on cycle one.

Ladies - sorry to go on, but I did another opk just now (I know I know) and it's the strongest one I think I've ever had. So am now assuming everything I'm feeling is ovulation stuff. What do you reck, almost positive?? I'm out all day so can't DTD either.

Shelb not that I know anything about Ov test but that look damn near as dark. I'd hop on if I were you!

I work in project support so kinda stressful more so as my assignment manager is shit my boss is talking about a staged return as she's concerned about me having a relapse if they pile too much on me in one go. Think that's probably a good idea as mum could get worse over the next few weeks due to treatment.
I want to eventually set up my own business in web design as I find working with people far more stressful than work (I'm ok with clients though) studying at the moment to get my skills up to scratch. Almost there

My lovely OH bought me a piano last year for Christmas. I've fiddled with it on and off but recently bought a new book which had really brought my playing on a lot! Really love practicing now where as with the previous books I used I found it quite frustrating

Eeekkk! Yey! Me and OH aren't together today but we DTD yesterday and will make sure tomorrow so that should cover it?

I work in a not too dissimilar field runner a lot of my friends do freelance web design, it's lucrative and you can command your own hours. Go for it!

Thanks for the congrats. We just picked up the new car, feeling very grown up all of a sudden.

Harriet pretty much yeah. I had EWCM for two days then got home (if you remember I was away working) and dtd that night. Id been awake 31 hours, look at that for commitment. And here we are!

With regards to feet elevated etc just so you know THE night I used a pillow under my hips for 15 mins. I say it did the trick

It's all feelings so bizarre. I'm walking around B&Q saying to DH "I'm pregnant" every 5 mins. In starving all the time but cannot stomach breakfast. Boobs sore and feeling full, bit of backache but other than that I feel normal. It's so weird.

Shelb - are you using OPK sticks and an app? If so, are they telling you the same thing in terms of when you are ovulating? I'm using Ovia but not sure how accurate it actually is, so may embrace the OPK's.

Right, I shall be taking my own advice and putting a pillow under my hips and putting my feet up. To be honest at this point I'll stand on my blooming head of it helps!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement Shelb I really do think I'd be so much happier working for myself but it's a big step and there's so much to learn I was planning to start up in October but with my mum being so poorly that went out the window. Now hoping for a January start and with any luck I'll be able to go full time while on maternity... Fingers crossed!!
