Thought I'd start a November thread for those of us left over from the October thread. (I hope this is ok and I'm not bypassing some sort of forum etiquette).

I'm starting to think the only fun week of a monthly cycle is the week-long BD-athon before ov! Tww sucks big time!

Yes the 2ww definitely socks queen I'm gonna be so pissed if it's not happened this month because I've had so much sex and I'm not the biggest fan lol

I'm jumping on this bus too! Stopped the pill and now don't know what's going on. This is the first month off the pill, had normal period for 4 days after stopping. And had another random bleed yesterday? For about an hour? Anyone else had this? Never happened when ttc#1. But dtd on day 7.

So what's the earliest I can test? I've got a scan on my ovaries on Friday I will be 8 dpo and I'm worried there going to push to hard on me it will be to early won't it?

Addicted I think it's quite normal for your body to do weird things when coming off the pill, it seems too early for implantation bleeding. Was it heavy bleeding or just a bit of spotting?

Wanting 8dpo will most likely be too early to test. Can you mention where you are in your cycle to the person doing the scan? They'll either be able to reassure you that it's fine or do the scan another time.

I might just phone them and try and rearrange it

Magpie it was heavier than spotting but not as heavy as a heavy period. More like a light period. But didn't last long. I didn't think implantation as surely 2 days would be too soon. I heard about a withdrawal bleed? Not sure what this is though

Not knowing what your own body is doing is one of the frustrating parts of TTC isn't it? Along with all the waiting!

Cycle 1 but missed ovulation for this month so not a massive chance.

Morning all - addicted, I'm also first month off the Pill and have no idea what's going on. I think I would be due AF some time in the next few days but stupidly I didn't really pay much attention to when I finished the Pill, so this is all relying on guess work No signs that AF is coming really. But no signs of anything else. Waiting until the end of the week to test as I'm on a spa break on Thursday and sod it, I'm going in and having a drink, I don't want to do the "living as if pregnant" thing in the very 1st month TTC.

How do people know they are ovulating with the sticks? Maybe I haven't ever been paying much attention but I've never noticed more discharge, raised temperature etc.

Hi all and welcome to the newbies. I've just posted this in a separate thread, but no replies, so thought I'd repeat here:

This is my 4th cycle using the CBAFM. My peak days have been varying by a day or two each month so it is good to have it to keep an eye on what is going on, especially as I have long-ish and not completely regular cycles. However, I've had a minimum of 4 high days before peak each cycle. One cycle I had 7 high days before the peak!!

This cycle I'd got to CD15 without a high. I finally got it yesterday and then this morning couldn't believe my eyes when I got a peak - when I removed the test stick I could see two strong dark lines. Has anyone else ever had this before? Can't understand why, instead of the usual slow build up, I've just suddenly shot up to peak literally overnight. Any thoughts on what this might mean or if it affect chances.

Any thoughts? Is this weird?

No idea as I don't use the cbfm I wonder if it was the device rather than your body? As long as you have dtd then you are covered though. Hope you get your bfp!

I'm 10 dpo today and, in spite of myself, I'm symptom spotting. I've got sore and tingly boobs which can be explained by the post ov progesterone surge or impending af. I've got a headache which can be explained by the fact that I've started to wear my glasses again because I'm working on my computer a lot. I've gone off wine and chocolate cake, which can be explained by the fact that I'm trying to be healthier anyway, but also because I so desperately want to be pregnant I'm imagining that I don't fancy them because I didn't when pregnant with dd. I feel a little nauseous but again, I imagined that last month so probably imagining it again! Roll on Friday when I can put an end to this madness one way or another!

9dpo and in a right grumpy mood. Did one of the ICs this evening and got a BFN. I've bought a pack of frers though and will use them closer to period (due Friday). Trying to symptom spot but don't feel any different to normal. The only 'symptom' I have is that PMS hasn't started yet! I usually get really upset and down in the dumps for a week or so. Not complaining about that one though.

The upside of me imagining that I've gone off chocolate and wine (and also eating healthily because we are ttc) is that I've lost half a stone without really trying. Every cloud and all that! I've got mild af cramps so I'm thinking the witch is going to get me. Not due until Friday/Saturday so will be annoyed if she comes early. I really don't want to start worrying about cycle length on top of everything else.

Hi everyone, symtom spotting here too. plus widly swing from extreems: 'defenitly not pregnant, dont feel pregnant' to 'OMG I just felt a twing down there- defenitly implantation cramps, I am so pregnant' I am going mad .

addicted a withdrawal bleed is the first bleed you have after coming off hormonal contraceptive. It is not considered a period and those only count when you start your normal menstral cycle. I think the term is also used when you have had a anovualtion cycle aswell but im not 100%.

This is an evaporation line, isn't it?

Thurlow I'm not sure if you can actually tell with confidence when you're ovulating from the sticks alone, just when you have the LH surge. I started using OPKs last month and never got a positive, but had a couple of days where the line was there and quite strong so I'm hoping I O'd soon after that. I was waiting til I came home from work at about 7 but got absolutely nothing apart from at the weekend during the afternoon so thinking maybe I need to be testing during the day despite the faff. Tips for getting away with it at work without locking yourself in the loo for 10 mins welcome if anyone else has got the routine down already!
