The November Bus: Bonfires and BFP'S!

Thought I'd start a November thread for those of us left over from the October thread. (I hope this is ok and I'm not bypassing some sort of forum etiquette).

Hello! Not sure whether I should be on the October bus or the November bus really but this one looks to have more space so can someone shift up and make room for a little one?

I got pregnant with my DS on cycle 1 so am really hoping it's just as straightforward this time. I've being examining my secretions obsessively (!!) and had EWCM for 5 days. Hopped on the good foot and did the bad thing from CD 9 to CD20 (which is when I ovulated; I felt it and then did a cheeky OPK later on - got a faint line so I guess the LH surge had passed which ties in).

So, I'm a couple of days into my TWW expecting to test in early November.

Ah! I'm not sure I'd have any idea when that happens... Have to admit we're just sort of winging it at the moment, as there've been no problems in the past (in fact, we've had the opposite problem in the past, though sod's law that will undoubtedly mean that now we are actively hoping to get pregnant, it will take a year!)

DP works shifts anyway so I know if I started tracking my cycle it would probably be too stressful. Not much you can do about it if he gets in at 2am...

MrsN I can't DTD if I'm not in the mood. If I'm not into it, it feels downright creepy to me (which I know is extreme).

We DTD, 2-3 times a week in general and everyday for the two most fertile days after the OPK. We keep at it the entire cycle though. I got my bfp cycle 2 so I'm hoping it will work that quickly again!

mamaneeds - I also got pregnant on cycle 1 last time, but as you'll see I'm now in cycle 7 this time round and no joy so far. I definitely think being more tired has a lot to do with it!

london - I actually know exactly what you mean! It does sometimes feel creepy right at first. After I get into the swing of it, I never end up feeling like that, but there are times when I'm definitely doing it to get a BFP rather than anything else. How awful - hope DH never sees this!!

I tend to enjoy it once I get into it. Plus, knowing I'm fertile make it easier. DH thinks it's his birthday and Christmas rolled into one!

1dpo. The tww begins. I hate this shit. Really hope I can be calmer this month and not convince myself I have phantom symptoms. Last month I'd convinced myself I was nauseous and actually felt so sick I couldn't eat. When af arrived I felt like such an idiot.

Aww Loki this ttc lark plays with your head. I was on the pill until yesterday and I still found myself symptom spotting... It wasn't even a remote possibility!!!

Loki symptom spotting is the worst, but impossible not to do I think.

I'm the same Loki. I've also realised that for me sex is moorish! The more we do it, the more often I get in the mood for it. We are getting close EoD just naturally even outside of fertile period. It's like your body remember that sex is terrific!

I am 7 days post ovulation. I am going to wait I think util I'm back from holiday to test (if no AF) which means circa 11 more days to wait. I'll probably cave and test early this week

I'm the same, London. It helps that this has been our half term week so I've actually had the energy to dtd properly too! I'm experiencing ov pain today so even though I'm trying to distract myself I just can't stop thinking about what is going on inside!

I'm using one step opks, still no sign of ov, I'm worried that I may no longer be ovulating, maybe it's time to revisit the doctor? Mood wise I'm very up and down at the moment hard to keep positive. What do you guys do yo stay positive?

I dont know how people stay positive. I guess you just have to keep believing it will happen. I'm not sure opks are that reliable to be honest, but the doctor will do a blood test so it might be worth a visit? I'll do a stats list when I can get to my laptop x

Sakura I wouldn't take the OPKs too seriously unless you're doing at least two a day. I've heard of people getting a - in the morning, a + at lunchtime then another - in the eve. It seems you have to be lucky with your test timings to catch the surge. I gave up with mine and just did it after I thought I'd ovulated (I had a sharp pain in my side for a few mins after 5 days of EWCM) to check I wasn't going mad! I got a faint second line which according to the test was a -ve result but that's because I took it several hours after the event.

My period came right on time, in the middle of the night, so I am hopping over here.

I'm not cut out for the nerves of TTC (DD was a very happy accident) so I am going to be doing all I can to fall quick. Plus a July or August baby would be perfect for being home for DD's first year at school.

CD 16 here. I have a 28 day cycle so ov should occur around the 14th day. However, still getting ewcm as of this morning (I have been since CD13). I had what I thought was ov pain yesterday so we have bd'd on day 8,9,12,13,14 and 15 and will do again tonight. Might let dh have the day off tomorrow . In all honesty though, I'm exhausted! According to smep, After today we can go to every other day. I don't feel cut out for this either, tattie. Even though I've tried to relax and not obsess, now I'm in the tww all I can think is 'am I? aren't I? Argh!'

Keep it up Loki! Apparently your most fertile day is your last day of EWCM, so you must be nearly there..

Im going to have to rely on the Opk's this month as I don't have a clue when I will be ovulating I usually have a 28 day cycle but last month was 33 days which is very unusual for me.

I hope so! It's been fun, there is no denying that, but there is still that underlying drive because I desperately want to be pregnant. We have been on holiday because it's half term here so we are relaxed and less tired. I don't know that we could keep it up if we were in it for months on end. I feel really emotional today for some reason too.

Can't wait for the start of November. hope this bus is as lucky as the October one!

I'm not sure what OH and I will do yet. We've agreed not to obsess about it fat chance but OH has quite a high sex drive and I'm hoping that once my body gets back to normal after the pill my sex drive will pick up again (suppressed sex drive has always been one of my favourite pill side effects, NOT!)

Well it is cd17, 3 dpo and the one thing I'm certain of is that dh and I could not have dtd any more! 7 times in 9 days including 5 days in a row over my fertile period. All I can do now is wait and see. This is the bit I'm crap at!

Spa break was lovely even with AF arriving. Glad I can start a new cycle and hopefully catch my ov this month. Always wanted an autumn baby but now we are ttc it doesn't seem to matter anymore. Good luck to everyone
