Thought I'd start a November thread for those of us left over from the October thread. (I hope this is ok and I'm not bypassing some sort of forum etiquette).

Here are my stats:

somnambulator I am planning on testing next Saturday which is when AF is due

redstrawberries101 · 12/11/2015 13:27

April showers, when I first came onto mums net for the first time a few weeks ago I was suprised and shocked at how people were hoping they would fall pregnant on the first cycle. In my head I had that it would be really rare and usually would take at least six months.

When we started trying I checked the calendar and saw that it was the last day of my fertile window. I had no expectations at all and thought oh well missed opportunity and will just properly start trying next month. However a week before AF arrived I got severe cramping as if AF was coming, but the timing seemed bit odd. I promised myself I wouldnt test unless I had to, but then I started feeling nauseous. My cycle is usually 29-30 days so on day 29 I tested and got a positive.

I feel really happy and lucky (given I had major surgery a few years ago to remove most of my pancreas and spleen and was left with many health issues). I honestly thought it would take a lot longer

Point of my story is that it happens when you least expect it and given my situation, chances were so minimal but it happened. Therefore I think stress definitely contributes!! You can only control what you can and that is your diet exercise supplement intake. It will happen. Don't lose hope!!

OwlinaTree · 12/11/2015 22:23

melvali I'm sure you are trying to be supportive but the old 'just relax it'll happen' if not true for everyone I'm afraid.

Mimilicious013 · 13/11/2015 03:59

I know what you mean Owlina.Af showed with lots of cramps and backache.so good luck to everyone yet to test

redstrawberries101 · 13/11/2015 07:55

Owlina - your right, it doesn't. I'll keep fingers crossed for you all. Big hugs X

Spotsondots · 13/11/2015 11:44

Hello ladies

Congratulations to the new BFPs and welcome to our new passengers. I'm still here. CD39, no AF yet. Had a call from the GP surgery earlier this week asking me to contact doctor next week to arrange a referral. Can only assume this means bloods/scan confirmed PCOS... Going to POAS over weekend at some point so I know what's what when I call on Monday... No idea if I am pregnant or not. Sometimes I think AF is just about to start, other times I think not so much. Only one way to find out I guess... Am putting off testing as I'll be so gutted if it turns out negative...

quitecrunchy · 13/11/2015 18:29

Best of luck spots

pulpi · 13/11/2015 19:06

Good luck, spots! I'll be POAS this weekend as well, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that this month is our month!

Namethattune · 13/11/2015 19:07

Good luck Spots. Anyone else testing over the weekend?

Namethattune · 13/11/2015 19:08

Oh, and good luck Pulpi. I think we must have been posting at the same time!

ThirdThoughts · 13/11/2015 19:13

Not Pregnant xxx

At least I thought I was enough to get my bum in gear about getting fit for pregnancy :) Which will hopefully help things along as well as give me more options once I am pregnant.

Thanks for all the good wishes, sorry that it wasn't a better result. Thanks

pulpi · 13/11/2015 19:13

Thanks name! I'm trying very hard not to get my hopes up. After 11 cycles of this, the emotional rollarcoaster is becoming a bit much.

ThirdThoughts · 13/11/2015 19:16

Was looking forward to another Olympics baby, timed to coincide long nursing sessions with watching Team GB get lots of medals. London 2012 was an awesome time to be sat on the sofa in pjs trying to figure out breastfeeding!

Mimilicious013 · 13/11/2015 19:38

Sorry Third,if no af,keep testing !!!!

Namethattune · 13/11/2015 19:58

Third I'm the same. My dd1 was an Olympics baby, and I'd love another. Sorry about the bfn.

OwlinaTree · 14/11/2015 00:04

Sorry third, thanks melvali

Spotsondots · 14/11/2015 07:34

BFP. Sadstupid body. Just waiting for AF to arrive now. It's only been 40 days... Angry fx for you, pulpi

Spotsondots · 14/11/2015 07:35

That should have been BFN. Stupid brain! Sorry for confusion.

redstrawberries101 · 14/11/2015 07:38

Aw sorry to hear that spots. Maybe Christmas will be your time!

MiniLop · 14/11/2015 07:58

Sorry spots. Fx AF appears soon now so you can try again with the next cycle!

MiniLop · 14/11/2015 08:00

I'm now CD8 and AF just about done. Was a bad one, as it was first one after having DS.

Spotsondots · 14/11/2015 08:46

Thanks ladies. Ironically I think she is here now so at least I don't have too long to wait. As for next month being my month, in the interests of self preservation I am going to assume that it won't be as I think we are going to likely need some medical help this time round... Sad

redstrawberries101 · 14/11/2015 09:26

Spotsondots - don't want to get your hopes up but remember it only takes one sperm one egg and bam! It's a real fluke really if you think about it.
