Flymo, that is good news, how many DPO are you?

Shary, fx you're not out yet. x

mascaraisamust · 03/11/2015 17:27

Shary, as the others have said, until AF shows you're not out.

Flymo, great about the LP! Even better if it comes with a bfp! How many dpo are you?

Nothing to report. All boring here.

Nothing here either. 12DPO and still have this cold/borderline flu. Had my highest ever temp this morning since charting so still have a temperature. Also noticing CM which is too early for me but wondering if it could be the cough syrup I've been taking? DH is away until Monday so I hope I'm not ovulating early. Hard to tell when you're ill.

Sunshinegirl2015 · 03/11/2015 17:43

Not 12DPO I meant CD12!!!

mascaraisamust · 03/11/2015 17:49

Oh sunshine, I hope you feel better soon! I hate colds!!!

Cd24 here, 4dpo....boring, boring, boring!! Roll on the weekend and stay away AF! xx

How you getting on with the Cyclogest Mascara?

Think I'm on 6DPO today, trying not to think about it too much although I feel as though AF could be on its way with the odd cramp and hot spells. Please stay away. x

mascaraisamust · 03/11/2015 21:32

Cyclogest is fine. Messy though. It's just strange taking it twice a day and wondering if I'm actually taking it for no reason!

My face is a mess, I swear the acne is getting worse every month. People keep saying how tired I look (I think that's a polite way of saying rundown). No idea how to keep the skin calm! Nothing seems to work. Any tips?!

Sunshine ive had a few twingey cramps, not necessarily a bad thing. I've got everything crossed for you but I understand why you are being realistic and level headed with it all! Makes it easier if AF does appear I suppose.

Just try to keep in mind that it can only improve your chances. I know what you mean about crazy skin, I had a few months where mine was really horrible, I don't think the stress of it all helped, I tried everything and then found Paulas Choice products which seem to have done wonders x

mrsmugoo · 04/11/2015 08:15

Mascara - if you use the other entrance then it's not messy at all Wink

Sunshinegirl2015 · 04/11/2015 10:37

I've been using coconut oil as a make up remover and it also acts as a moisturiser too. My skin feels a lot better for it. Could also be down to evening primrose oil tablets though. Apparently coconut oil can also help lengthen LP!

mascaraisamust · 04/11/2015 16:12

Haha thanks ladies for the tips!!

So sick of my scabby face Sad

Eugh my face is a nightmare at the moment! I look like a teenager & not in a good youthful way! Please keep the recommendations coming!

Update from today...AF has arrived with avengence putting an end to my 55 day cycle Hmm My temps were steadily dropping so I knew it was coming but the dramatic drop this morning confirmed it. Sure enough it arrived afternoon!
I'm not going to lie I'm absolutely completely gutted disappointed that I didn't get a BFP. Feels harder to take after such a long cycle. But I'm going to try & concentrate on the positives: this ridiculous cycle prompted my GP to make a gynae referral & do more bloods. I'm closer to a possible diagnosis of PCOS (which I obviously don't want to have but at least I know & can hopefully get help). My lp was 13 days which is healthy. My bloods confirmed I do ovulate. My OH has offered to go for sperm analysis bless him. Plus I've been able to chat to you lovely ladies throughout it all Smile
Starting a new tradition tonight which is first day of AF= take away for tea!

mascaraisamust · 04/11/2015 17:34

Shary, big hugs. It's hard to keep being positive and putting on the brave face all the time. I think take away is a great idea!

You will get your bfp, even if it is with a bit of help along the way but you will get there! Like you say you are moving in the right direction now. There's no going back Smile

Eugh I can't look in a mirror Sad

I keep getting twinges but according to FF AF isn't due until Tuesday whereas Ovia says Sunday. I think Ovia is correct as that would be AF arriving on day 29. I need distraction. Cinema tonight and I'm refusing to make tea Wink

Oh I might start that tradition too Shary with AF meaning a takeaway. Sorry to hear it arrived, it's shocking how heartbreaking it is Sad but good for thinking of the positives.

DH is off for his SA on Friday, tbh they don't seem to make it easy for people. You can only give your sample in on a Wednesday or Friday afternoon until 5pm which already means DH will have to get out of work extra early to do his stuff, then it says its best to get it in within an hour of producing the sample (though up to 2hrs is ok) so with the clinic being a 40 minute drive away lets just hope theres no traffic. Poor DH x

SharyBobbins · 04/11/2015 19:11

Sunshine can you tell me a bit about the SA process? When you say clinic do you mean a fertility clinic?

OH has enquired with his GP surgery about doing a SA & they're going to ring him back tomorrow. I just assumed he'd be given a pot at the doctors & he'd have to drop it back at the surgery or local hospital. Is that not the case?

sunshinegirl12 · 04/11/2015 19:44

Shary, when we had an appointment with our GP she gave us a pot for the sample and a signed letter to hand in with it. We have to drop it at the fertility clinic within the hospital but the one they have told us to take it to is miles away(although we have hospitals closer this must be the nearest fertility clinic) We assumed the same as you that we could just drop it back at the GP's surgery, but it is probably different in different areas. She also said the results would be about 2-3 weeks.

SharyBobbins · 04/11/2015 21:02

Thanks Sunshine, that's a lot more faffing than I expected! Also 2-3 weeks seems a long wait for the results!

FuzzyOwl · 04/11/2015 21:07

Hello, please can I join? I am ttc my second. Is day one of your LP the day you ovulate or the day afterwards? Depending on which one, mine is either 10 or 9 days.

flymo79 · 05/11/2015 08:07

hi fuzzy, hi all!
fuzzy, I believe you count day 1 of LP as ovulation day.
feeling gutted. AF arrived 4 days late. Lived a small world of hope in those four days, even though I tested every day and all were BFN...
trying to take the shary approach and look on the bright side, my lp was 10 days (have been taking b-vits post ovulation), but it's SO hard not to just be massively gutted...

doobeedee · 05/11/2015 08:26

The day after ovulation is the first day of your luteal phase. That's why it's called 1DPO.

mrsmugoo · 05/11/2015 08:35

Yes but your luteal actually phase begins when you ovulate, I.e day 0

sunshinegirl12 · 05/11/2015 08:50

I'm pretty sure I'm out too, had a bit of pink bleeding and getting period pains. I'm so gutted I feel like crying, think I feel even worse this month as it's my birthday in a few days, another year older, so feeling very negative todaySad

flymo79 · 05/11/2015 09:02

sorry for af sunshine, we can be misery buddies (fun!) Sad
I am thinking I am going to gorge on choc today, insist on takeout tonight and drink a big glass of wine. I might just be foul to everyone and stomp around. And at least I can have some wine at the weekend for my friend's birthday (was starting to worry that she would confront me about not drinking)
It's terrible that the only way I can cheer myself even slightly is with a drink....

doobeedee · 05/11/2015 09:27

Having googled it, it seems there is some disagreement on the subject. Fertility Friend, for example, counts your luteal phase from the day after. So does the book TCOYF, which seems to be an authority on such things. If it's counted from the day of ovulation, then you'd have to count part days, wouldn't you? I've always done it as the day after cos I'm a pessimist so always go for worst case scenario!

sunshinegirl12 · 05/11/2015 09:35

Misery buddies sounds good, I totally agree about being foul to everyone even though they have no idea why, I feel like I'm going to burst into tears at any moment. I thought ttc would be fun and exciting but its one of the worst things ever, I hate it. It all seems so unfair that its so easy for some people, even people who don't really want children or aren't prepared to look after them properly. I'm feeling so negative right now I can't imagine ever seeing that BFP and hate feeling like there must be something wrong with me, and I'm conscious of the fact I'm getting older. I'm sorry for the huge rant, I really need to be locked away in a room for a few days until I've pulled myself together.

The tiny positive is that I'll be able to celebrate my birthday with a few drinks. WineWineWine
