It's really great that a CB digi picked it up on 10dpo - loads of hcg! I really am so happy for you Smile

mascaraisamust · 10/11/2015 19:09

Thanks all! I'm in shock still tbh! And I know it's very, very, very early days so not getting overly excited. Couldn't believe my eyes this morning!! Wahey for cyclogest and Mrs if the hospital don't give me more ill message you. Got another two cycles worth yet though!

Oh and Shary, I wouldn't have known symptoms wise. I've got sore boobs, but normal before AF for me. However last month they weren't at all and I just thought it my cycle getting back to normal. I was really teary Friday night, again for it was PMS and ive had strong xramps which I didn't have last time. Still having a few, feels like AF is coming (which scares me). I won't be able to chill out until I'm past the 8 weeks where I mc last time.

Ladies, last time I got a BFP it was using preseed, first month this time also. It could also be the cyclogest but I think it helps!

I've got every confidence that you will go on to a successful pregnancy - I really do think that progesterone supplements are such an easy fix to a short LP and if you continue with it in the first trimester you are giving yourself a boost to hold on to that sticky bean!

mascaraisamust · 10/11/2015 21:03

I will most definately be carrying on up until 12 weeks (everything tightly crossed)! I am having some pretty sharpish cramps around my left ovary. Gone to lay in bed.

Thanks all for your support, again. you've been amazing. I won't be going anywhere until you all get your bfps Smile

Mascara I can't find it but I read an interesting stat the other day which said 60% of pregnancies end in miscarriage but that if you've already had one miscarriage then your chance of having another one (can't remember the %) are really really low. So don't worry and try to relax. Statistically this is more likely to be a sticky bean.

Keep us updated with symptoms etc! Fx for me haha 1DPO.

Sunshine if I don't get my BFP this cycle then AF is due Boxing Day for me. Could be good Christmas presents all round! My mum found out she was pregnant with me on Christmas Eve!

sunshinegirl12 · 10/11/2015 23:32

Sunshine, fx for us for xmas BFPs (if you don't get it this month, though fx for you). Had my bloods done this morning, a nice bday prezi to myself, (lots of tears as i'm such a coward) feeling very relieved now 1 tick is off the list. x

Just before I give my story I wanted to say congratulations mascara FX you have a happy and health pregnancy.

Hi to everyone. 3 years is such a long time, I have gone slightly mad at times! A bit of the story- we left it nearly 2 years if ttc before going to the doc. Reasoning behind this was DH was keen to try naturally and see what happened. Also, we know a healthy couple who took 3 years to get pg with their first, so figured we were just one of those couples who took longer. BIGGEST regret i have, wish we'd have gone to doc immediately. However, 2 years in, had a whole host of tests which took ages, waiting for appointments, scans, hospital losing bloods so having to repeat them etc. Found I have PCOS and don't ovulate/ don't ov regularly. Was put on Metformin and Dianette (contraceptive pill!!) by fertility consultant to try to regulate periods/reduce bmi but this only worked for 6 months whilst I was on pill. Went off that in March this year, took 50 days to get my AF and they've been really long since, ranging from 48-39 days, 39 last cycle so think the AC is shortening them. Am finally able to start Clomid in January after losing weight so starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel hopefully. It's been a very long 3 years! One thing we all have in common is that we never give up trying though Smile

MrsC2013 · 11/11/2015 00:44

Wow that was an essay! I had tried to keep it short! Lol I'm already a regular on a thread about ttc with pcos but wondered about lp specifically as last 2 cycles had short Lp's. Have any of you taken Clomid? Was it you previously mascara? Just wondered if that lengthened your lp or did you need progesterone?

mascaraisamust · 11/11/2015 06:26

I was due to take it but just ended up with cyclogest progesterone. I'd been campaigning for it for a good 6 months as I was certain its what I needed and why I potentially mc before! I had really low pg levels of 1 and 8 at day 21. I'd be interested to know what they are now but I'm going wait a bit now before I refer to the midwife.

When did you refer Mrs and Sanch?

I have everything crossed for your xmas bfps ladies! I think a bit of cyclogest would help you guys too. I used Mrs and my case study!

mascaraisamust · 11/11/2015 06:31

Oh and Sanch and Mrs are you taking any pregnancy vitamins? Or just sticking with folic. I don't want to overdose on vitamin D!

OP posts:
mrsmugoo · 11/11/2015 06:44

I haven't got round to buying prenatal vitamins yet because I'm lazy but I will probably get them today as I feel like since I've been off my food I could do with a boost! I've been taking my folic acid obvs.

I self referred to the community midwife at 6 weeks as I felt like that seemed a sensible milestone but still haven't had my booking in appointment, it's a week tomorrow which means I'll be 11 weeks and not holding out much hope that they'll process a scan appt in a week so guessing my dating scan will be 13-14 weeks which is a bit annoying as I'm excited to start sharing the news plus I'll probably be showing by then!!

I feel like I've been pregnant for ages and nothing exciting has happened yet, 1st trimester is really boring.

Sanch1 · 11/11/2015 09:41

I am taking pregnacare, with vit D and folic acid in. But if youre already taking a high dose of D then maybe find one without the extra in. Might be difficult though as vit D is recommneded for pregnancy. Maybe just get a normal multi-vit?

I went and saw my GP, but didnt really need to I could have just made an appointment with the midwife. Had my booking in yesterday at 8+3. I would refer early-ish so that you get an appointment at the right time, I wouls have been 9+4 by LMP and they like to see you at 8 weeks down here, and I made the appointment 3 weeks ago! Ours only has one day a week for appointments. Should get a letter about a scan next week.

Mrs, they'll have to get you in relatively quickly if your want the NT testing. That needs to be done before 13+6 and I think they should errr on the side of caustion to make sure they dont miss it because dates are out. You could always phone up and tell them you arent sure of dates so need to earlier so you dont miss the window. Little white lie!!

mrsmugoo · 11/11/2015 10:59

Yeah I'm confident they'll get me in time for NT screening but when you have your eyes on the prize of that magical 12 week mark, if if the goal posts end up moving to 13+ weeks it's annoying! I still can't believe they made me wait 5 weeks from referring to actually getting a booking appt!

mascaraisamust · 11/11/2015 11:05

Brown blood Sad

OP posts:
mrsmugoo · 11/11/2015 11:08

Don't stress about it mascara - I had that for a week from 10dpo onwards - it's implantation!

sunshinegirl12 · 11/11/2015 11:38

Mascara, hope everythings ok, from everything I've seen brown blood is pefectly normal though I know it must be hard not to worry.

I've had a bit of a strange AF, only really lasted 2 days and not very heavy (though too heavy to be anything other than AF). Just hope things aren't messed up that it'll affect my chances for this month.

Sanch1 · 11/11/2015 12:06

Sunshine, my last AF before my BFP was like that, less than two hole days and hardly needed a tampon! I wouldnt worry, sometimes our bodies have little flip out moments!

Mascara, I had that on and off for a couple weeks with DD1, all was well in the end. xx

Sunshinegirl2015 · 11/11/2015 12:28

Sunshine I had that the other month and doctor said to take hpt but obviously it was BFN. Last cycle was light too.

Mascara I agree from what I've read it could be normal but in your shoes I'd be worrying too. Are you seeing the GP at all?

sunshinegirl12 · 11/11/2015 13:55

Thanks ladies, I did a test and as expected was BFN, I think it must just be a funny cycle as my boobs are still feeling fuller like they do before AF. Confused
