Well done on the christmas shopping, my plan is to get it all done before December too.

AF still hasn't shown up properly, I wouldn't mind if I had any hope that it was leading to a BFP but I can feel its on its way, not to mention the temp drops, so rather just get it over and done with and don't want to mess up my day 3 bloods.

Looking at my chart, although FF says I didn't ovulate, if I did I think it would've been 28th/29th so if I have my usual 10 day luteal phase that should make me due tomorrow at the latest.

How is everyone else getting on? x

Short Luteal Phase #2
Sunshinegirl2015 · 07/11/2015 11:02

Hope you feel better Mrs.

Oh flymo she does sound bitchy. I don't get why people are bitchy for no reason. I had someone like hat at my work for no reason at all and one day I was in a mood (probs on AF) and confronted her and now she's always nice to me Confused

How are you feeling sunshine?

I don't know much about getting bloods done but of everything I've seen online I'd agree 7dpo.

Think I'm going to miss the window this month Sad as DH doesn't get back from working abroad until Monday afternoon and I got two pretty strong lines on an OPK yesterday but no peak yet. Had EWCM that stretched to about 6" this morning! I never get any and if I do it stretches to about an inch.

Not that it matters if we miss the egg but I've not had red meat this cycle and tried to eat lots of greens as they are supposedly alkalising. Oh and I've taken a baby aspirin everyday.

mascaraisamust · 07/11/2015 11:32

Sunshine15 I've also reduced red meat dramatically, think I've only had it a couple of times this month. In a way if you miss the window at least you can give yourself a month to relax, mentally too! You never know also, stranger things have happened.

Feeling a few little cramps, so I'm not feeling overly positive to be honest. Used Preseed this month again to see it it makes any difference.

Cd28 here, my cycles are usually 29 days so I'd expect AF to maybe appear Monday/Tuesday. Only 7dpo today though according to FF. Going to use a FRER Monday morning even though it's super early before my appointment.

Sunshine12, hoping AF stays away for you. Why are pregnancy symptoms and PMS symptoms so alike?! Hmm

OP posts:
Sunshinegirl2015 · 07/11/2015 11:38

That's true. Just feels a shame when it's taken this long to get here every chance counts.i normally ovulate CD18 which would be Monday and DH is back Monday afternoon so I'll be pouncing the minute he's back haha.

Fx for you Mascara. I know what you mean about symptoms.

mascaraisamust · 07/11/2015 11:41

Well that was the same as me, I got a peak cd20 and DH wasn't back until cd20 in the evening! Remember the peak means you could ovulate 12-48 hours later. You're not out!

OP posts:
Sunshinegirl2015 · 07/11/2015 12:04

Ooh you've made me feel positive again! Fx!

mascaraisamust · 07/11/2015 15:22

Hmm I keep getting cramps

iamabear · 07/11/2015 21:20

Hi all, thanks for the advice on the blood test, seems the consensus is 7dpo then!

Yes I did have my 'day 3' bloods done, although my doctor said it didn't matter which day I went on so I went on day 19! Only through you guys did I know it hould have been day 3! Shock. It was still before ovulation though and I think a lot of the tests such as thyroid would have still been correct. I also bought a home FSH POAS which I did on day 3 this cycle and i was ok, and I test LH each month with the OPKs. Does that mean I've covered what the blood test should have done?

Mascara I hope AF stays away!

Sunshinegirl2015 fingers crossed you make the most of your 'opportunities' this month Wink

Sunshinegirl12 from looking at your chart I'd say you definitely ovulated... I do the same with not bothering to take my temperature for the first couple of weeks of a cycle and I think it does confuse the FF algorithms.

mascaraisamust · 07/11/2015 21:33

Hi bear, I had day 3s done too. I was told to go between days 2-5 by the private consultant. They checked fsh, LH, vitamins, calcium, prolactin, thyroid. Turned out I had a severe vitamin d3 deficiency so I'm taking tablets twice a day on the back of it. GP interpretted the results but private consultant wants to see the levels too on Monday for the day 3 tests.

Cramping has stopped now, they were short lived but rather strong! I feel really nervous, I think the pressure has hit me much harder this month with it being my first proper cycle since the mc.

Hope everyone is well x

MrsC2013 · 08/11/2015 13:56

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me showing up. I've been following this thread as I think lp is an issue for me, amongst others. I've been ttc 1 for 3 years, currently losing weight to reduce BMI to start Clomid in January as bloods ages ago suggested I'm not ovulating. However I think I do now, at least on some cycles, which is confirmed by temping, Opks and cm. I suspect ov isn't strong enough which causes low progesterone and then a short Lp. Last 2 cycles were 10 days, which I didn't feel too bad about, then last cycle was only 8 days! Confused

I was interested to read what you said a while ago Mascara about being severely deficient in Vitamin D3. A recent blood test has come back that I am too so have been advised to get a prescription from the doctor. I have read that vit d has an effect on fertility so am now wondering whether this has contributed too! Have you noticed a difference since being on the tablets? Also wondered what dosage you are on? Have been taking standard D3 tablets from a shop until I can get a doctor's appointment which say they are 12.5ug/ 250% rda but think that may be too low if I'm so deficient?

Sunshinegirl2015 · 08/11/2015 15:11

Still no peak on an OPK so looks like I have a chance after all.

Went to chemist today to get more baby aspirin and the pharmacist made me feel so embarrassed. I know she was doing her job but she asked why I was taking them and I said for TTC and she said she'd never heard of that and not to believe everything you read online and that she can't stop me buying them but would advise against it. Think I just felt embarrassed as there was someone at the register next to her and the guy serving said he'd not heard of it either and had I tried pregnacare (which obvs I have).

Still taking one 75mg tablet a day though.

Did AF arrive Mascara?

Hi MrsC. Three years is a long time!!

mascaraisamust · 08/11/2015 21:15

Welcome mrsc, three years is a long time. Glad to hear you are getting help! Can't imagine how hard it's been for you. I should be starting Clomid soon if I don't get a BFP this cycle (wishful thinking). Only been taking the vitamin D3 a few weeks, so I reckon it'll be a couple more before I see any real difference (holding out for a huge improvement to my adult acne)! They are 400iu, twice a day so a strong dosage.

Not sign of AF yet, although going off last month it should arrive on Tuesday. No painful cramps today. A bit sore and still spotty but that's it. Poas today and got a bfn on some supermarket cheapie. 9/10dpo tomorrow so will try again as I've got a CB lying around. I've got to say I'm not very hopeful though Sad I know it's still early days to be testing but I've got my private appointment tomorrow Confused

Ah sunshine, how embarrassing. Oh well, I bet you could teach them a thing or too about medicine!

OP posts:
mrsmugoo · 08/11/2015 21:30

It's still early for testing mascara, you should hold off for 2 or 3 days if you can!

mascaraisamust · 08/11/2015 21:33

I know...Mrs. Should I not test before my appointment tomorrow then Mrs?!

I doubt it'll tell me any different in the morning anyway though!

OP posts:
mascaraisamust · 08/11/2015 21:34

How are you feeling Mrs?

OP posts:
mrsmugoo · 08/11/2015 21:52

10dpo is the earliest, earliest, earliest... put it this way - if you find out at 10dpo you're only 3+3 days pregnant - basically nothing! Implantation doesn't even really happen until 10 days after. I would really put off testing until at least 11 or 12dpo, tempting though it is.

I've had a better day today, only sick once but sickness replaced by heartburn so I've still only eaten morsels and I'm bone crunchingly tired. It's really kicking my ass this one!

mascaraisamust · 09/11/2015 07:19

Ok mrs, I've been told. It's staying on the side. I've had cramps on and off throughout the night, really thought the start of AF was here and expected some apotting but so far nothing. Dull ache on and off too. Usual sign of AF. Temp is 36.64 though...

I've decided I'm not going to test now until I'm 14dpo, if I get there, which is Saturday! The day of the big family get together where I will be caught out!

OP posts:
iamabear · 09/11/2015 07:30

Good luck at your appointment mascara! Grin

mascaraisamust · 09/11/2015 07:44

Mrs surely it's got to get easier soon. Sign of a strong little bean though surely. Thanks bear.

So AF has finally arrived, which means I'll be getting my blood taken on CD2. The dr said it should be booked in between CD3-5, but I'm not able to go then and don't want to wait another month. Does anyone know what they will be testing for anyway and do you think CD 2 will be ok? Sorry girls, I'm already getting myself in a state worrying. x

flymo79 · 09/11/2015 08:46

good luck today mascara
iam what do you take the baby asprin for?

flymo79 · 09/11/2015 08:47

flymo79 · 09/11/2015 09:20

sunshinegirl12 · 09/11/2015 09:53

Its so hard to stay positive isn't it, but DH has done his SA and I've plucked up the courage to go for my bloods.

Just trying to work out what vits to take this cycle as have only been on Pregnacare the last few months, so going to take Vitamin C, vitamin D3 and B complex after ovulation. Zinc for DH, should I take zinc too? And do you think carry on with Pregnacare or just swap for basic Folic acid? What are you ladies all taking this month? x
