(...or poke me in the right direction of an existing one?)

We've been fannying around ttc#2 for a while now, and I'm starting to feel deflated Sad

What do you think? Have you tried it? Doing it? Can we even do that much shagging? Blush

Failing that, can you kick me up the arse to cheer me up? Grin

I'm currently miscarrying. We found out the baby had died two weeks ago at a private scan on the 23rd December. Because it was Christmas, the hospital didn't scan me until the 28th and by that time everything had collapsed. They insisted I have a second scan on the 4th of January so that they could check there was no growth (despite the sac having completely collapsed and the private scan showing an 8 week foetus with no heart beat). I started to miscarry naturally at the weekend. I've got another scan booked for next week to check it has all come away. The sad thing is, if you go back through this thread you will see my ttc posts, my bfp announcement etc. I agree with you completely about needing control over your body. After having to wait to miscarry I have really struggled. The awful thing is, if they'd scanned me sooner I would have been offered medical management. But it was Christmas so they didn't. I'm still scared I'm going to have to have an ERPC. The only thing keeping me sane is the planning for after my period next month. I know the smep plan works though, that makes me feel a little better.

My heart goes out to you, it completely does. There is no feeling in the world as devastating as the loss of a child. Are you getting plenty of support? And it will come back , take heart in that. I was 6 weeks to the day for the return of my period. Never stopped taking prenatal vits. First cycle was 35 days but I bled for almost 3 weeks. I'm now cd6 and period has stopped, before pregnancy I was 5 days so I'm pretty back to normal. Taking control allows you to focus your energies and grief, so do what you feel best. It probably seems like forever away but charting and recording gives you something to do and I find it definitely helps me. How long were you trying for if you don't mind me asking? Thanks

Loki17 · 06/01/2016 22:10

We were trying for three months - which felt like forever at the time. In reality it wasn't though. We did smep in the third month and conceived. Thanks for sharing your experience - it is really reassuring to hear other people's experiences. Being organised and planning make me feel secure. Also helps me to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Seacrown · 06/01/2016 22:14

Anytime, it's the only way to get through it. If there's anything else , just ask. I started off feeling like I was silly for asking, particularly with regards to future pregnancy . Now when we go to our bereavement group, it's all 'where are you in your cycle, what's your period like'. It never stops hurting but you learn to go on, and there is always light! Even if it's hard to see sometimes!Star

CamMc · 09/01/2016 22:01

Hi all, just checking back in as well. CD14 and ovulated today. Followed the plan so far so about to enter into the TWW. Feeling much more chilled about everything this month after my melt down last month! How's everyone else doing?

Bugmuncher · 09/01/2016 22:13

Hello everyone!! CD20 and ovulated yesterday so in the DTD everyday marathon at the moment. But I am pretty tired today Blush. How's everyone else finding it?

Bugmuncher · 09/01/2016 22:16

Also I've told my OH about the SMEP schedule and when I'm ovulating. I try to make sure it's still fun and not weird. But he's on board with it and is really quite broody so that plus the promise of loads of sex has kept him happy!

Seacrown · 09/01/2016 22:35

Bug and mimi I'm the same, I sat him down and talked to him about it. I wanted to check he was on board as we've both struggled after losing Jonah and I wanted to make sure we both felt the same before starting again. He's happy to give us the best possible chance we can until it happens. No positive opks yet but I'm sticking to every other day, possibly throw an extra few BD in there if I canWinkcan only help! I'm still taking the aspirin too so fingers crossed. How are you all getting on? How do you find the plan fits in with General day to day life? Hope you are all well X

Mimilicious013 · 10/01/2016 08:00

Im cd13 and poasing cd28 on the 25th.(that is if cycle doesn't get messed up)

CamMc · 10/01/2016 08:35

I'll be poas on 24th Jan (CD28) although we'll be on a long weekend then so will have to make sure I pack a test! My OH and I have agreed that if it doesn't work this month he will go to the GP for tests. Mine came back all clear in November and go said he should but we wanted to give it a few more months first. I haven't found it as exhaustion as other months this time round but we haven't been seeing loads of each other this week so it's been nice to dtd when we have - far more romantic!

Bugmuncher · 10/01/2016 08:49

cam that would be exciting if you got a BFP on your weekend away. I'm on CD 21 and FF is telling me to test on CD 39 but AF is scheduled on CD 35 so will either be testing on the 28th or (if I can't wait) the 24th

Mimilicious013 · 10/01/2016 08:50

My poas buddie cam.how long have u been ttc if u don't mind me asking ?good luck all the same and dtd for romance is so much fun hey.miss it at times cause lately have just been calculating and plotting at the back of my mind.

Mimilicious013 · 10/01/2016 09:02

Sorry for tripple post.silly phone

CamMc · 10/01/2016 09:10

We've been trying since April last year, with one very early loss the GP thinks. I was diagnosed with endometriosis 13 years ago but then went on the pill for more or less 10 years without periods and symptoms disappeared. So after 6 months of TTC my GP suggested getting me tested etc just to make sure everything was OK and there wasn't anything to worry about.
I started acupuncture at the beginning of December and the therapist has been far better at explaining things than the GP but I only have one session left on the 6 session package I bought and OH is not happy about me signing up again ("mumbo jumbo")! It's very relaxing but can see how easy it is to spend money out of desperation (multiple tests, opk kits, vitamins etc...)

Really nice to share this all by the way - makes you feel you're not alone

Mimilicious013 · 10/01/2016 09:26

I have been on a thread were two people got their bfp after acupuncture.so im hoping that the sessions u hv had will be successful and bam... a bfp soon.it is nice to share and trying to talk to someone not ttc is difficult.these chats we have sure save our sanity kkk

CamMc · 10/01/2016 10:12

Thanks Mimi - think that's what I needed to hear to book in some more acupuncture sessions!

Seacrown · 10/01/2016 10:19

My last cycle was 35 days long but my period was almost 3 weeks! That was my first after giving birth. This one however seems more normal. Period lasted 5 days, 1 day of spotting, which is what I had pre pregnancy when my cycles were 30days. So I'm unsure! If I go on my previous cycle it's 5th Feb, if I go on previous cycles it's 31st Jan! Sometime during that week hopefully! I don't know what's worse, waiting to test or testing too early. Last time I git bfn on date of period but bfp a week late! When would you all suggest to test? X
