(...or poke me in the right direction of an existing one?)

We've been fannying around ttc#2 for a while now, and I'm starting to feel deflated Sad

What do you think? Have you tried it? Doing it? Can we even do that much shagging? Blush

Failing that, can you kick me up the arse to cheer me up? Grin

CamMc · 02/01/2016 17:49

I'm dtd from day 8 onwards (although my start earlier than planned tonight!). I'm using the clear blue digital okps as the cheap internet stocks were too hard for me to work out if it was a positive result. The clear blue ones work really well for me, so worth the money and peace of mind. And good luck to you too! Perhaps we'll all start the new year off with good news

Nevlet · 03/01/2016 09:18

Morning! To be completely honest bug we gave up last month and were just waiting for fertility apps booked for january! We definitely dtd a hella lot more in december because the pressure was gone and we were only doing it for fun and bam bfp. So my advice would have to be yes understand smep and that it requires alot of dtd but dont put too much pressure on doing it just for the sake of it!

Mimilicious013 · 03/01/2016 11:18

Thanks nevlet, hope u enjoying your bfp.your dh must be thrilled.
Morning bug and cam .hope u enjoyed the bonus last nite cam.dh woke up in the mood to dtd ,he kinda used to getting some often haha.have a pleasant sunday ladies.
Where is all?did u get your bfp?

Loki17 · 03/01/2016 12:22

Hi Ladies. Not sure whether I'm glad you are still here or not. I found out on the 23rd of December that our baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks. Miscarriage started yesterday. I'm so sad but, strangely, taking comfort in the ttc forum. I'm hoping we can start again in a month or so once I've had a period. I hope none of you are still here then xx

Mimilicious013 · 03/01/2016 12:46

Im sooo sorry loki..it must be the hardest thing to go through.((hugs))let's hope u are fine physically and that u heal emotionally soon.the forum sure has a way of helping.u know that you will always have us listening and cheering u up.

Seacrown · 03/01/2016 18:25

Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me joining.
I just read the whole post as I'm looking to start SMEP this month. We are TTC #2 after losing our son in October. Loki i am so sorry to hear of your loss, I empathise completely. Hope you are ok!
How are you all getting on with the plan?

Bugmuncher · 04/01/2016 11:15

seacrown I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope this will be a lucky thread for you. I'm on CD 15 started DTD on CD 10 but my cycles have been 26 days, 33 days and 40 days so far so no idea how long it will be this month but hoping exercising and eating more healthy will help this month.

Mimilicious013 · 04/01/2016 12:14

Sorry for your loss sea hope u get your bfp soon.
Morning bug hope slept well.a lot of dtd for u then if cycle is long kkk.im on cd7 and have ewcm so jumped on dh this morning.it's a little early but that could explain why i have had short cycles.
Hie cam

Seacrown · 04/01/2016 13:36

Bug and mimi thank you. How long have you been on the SMEP bus? Just wondered how you're finding it! I'm really excited to try, it probably sounds daft but it really makes me feel better having something to follow and do, makes me feel like I'm taking control of it as much as possible X

Bugmuncher · 04/01/2016 14:00

seacrown this is my first month! That's why I like it too - makes me feel like I have a little control! I used to have EWCM for a week/two weeks but I'm not sure if all this DTD is drying me out Blush

Seacrown · 04/01/2016 14:05

Eep! That's something to keep an eye on!Smileis this your first month of doing SMEP Bug? Have you been using opks? I've stocked up on Internet cheapies so I can test twice a day! Waaaay to eager!

Bugmuncher · 06/01/2016 10:59

How are all you smepers doing? I have a question - have any of you found that DTD so much has made your EWCM disappear? I used to have a week or 10 days of it and now absolutely zilch!

Seacrown · 06/01/2016 11:06

I'm just about to start so will see! On cd6 so starting 2 days early! Will note any changes X

Mimilicious013 · 06/01/2016 11:44

Hie sea and bug. I also experience less because of dtd often.hope its not a problem.good luck sea with dtd tonight.im on cd 9 so lots of work ahead.what cd are u on bug?
Do u guys take folic acid tablets ?they seem to be giving me a running tummy ?

Bugmuncher · 06/01/2016 12:17

mimi that's reassuring to hear someone else has the same. I'm on CD 17 which I think should be the start of my fertile window but I'm never sure because I've never got a positive OPK. I was taking folic acid in addition to my usually multivitamin and noticed my wee was florecent yellow so I checked my multivitamin and it already had folic acid so I was just peeing out all the extra. It's never given me an upset stomach. Maybe try a different brand?

Mimilicious013 · 06/01/2016 12:34

Thanks bug will look into changing the brand(never thought of that).Cd17, u still have a lot of bding to do.good luck hey.i unfortunately don't use opks so trust in ewcm and lots of dtd.I have also started taking baby aspirin.used it last time when i was pregnant so hoping it could work sme miracle.just turned 35 today and am getting desperate to get a bfp

Seacrown · 06/01/2016 14:23

That's interesting Mimi, I've just started taking baby aspirin too. Alongside the nhs healthy start multi vitamins, never had any problems with those! X

Bugmuncher · 06/01/2016 16:07

Happy Birthday mimi! 🎉🎈🎂

Loki17 · 06/01/2016 16:15

Sea crown I've been looking into baby aspirin. With my first pg I had hypertension (symptomatic of pre eclampsia), with my last pg (that ended in mc) I had really bad headaches. My mum had a blood clot too. I wonder if I should try the aspirin in case it was blood clots that caused my mc. Have you consulted your doctor?

Mimilicious013 · 06/01/2016 16:33

Wow bug, thanks !!that's the tastiest cake ever (hugs)
hie loki ,hope u are feeling better.i don't think baby asprin would do any harm right.maybe just get advice from doc.did u have a d&c or just antibiotics.?speedy recovery to u!

Seacrown · 06/01/2016 18:23

I'm taking it on the advice of my bereavement midwife. She said that its proven to reduce cases of miscarriage and encouraged everyone in our bereavement group to take it once we fell pregnant. That was before Christmas. Since then j found and article on the telegraph site that encourages women to use it when TTC, I'll see if I can find the link. When I asked her yesterday if we should take it she said baby aspirin (75mg) will do no harm. The theory being that it thickens the lining of the womb , making it easier for baby to attach. So I'm giving it a go. It will only be in relatively short term if we don't conceive, say within six months, I'd then be pushing to see someone with my history. So anything to help really! I'll see if I can find that link X

Loki17 · 06/01/2016 18:33

I think I'm going to do the same. I bought some in preparation for next month from the chemist today. Thanks for the info xx

Seacrown · 06/01/2016 18:48

Anytime. I just want to do anything possible to take back control of my body. This gives me something to control, as does SMEP. How are you doing Loki?where are you in this months journey? Xx
