When to expect period - Provera

EllaMenoPea · 06/10/2015 09:42

As above really. I finished 5 days of Provera on Saturday to induce a bleed to start Clomid. When should I expect a period? Just wondering if anyone has any experiences. Google is telling me lots of different times. Getting impatient Blush

Please let us know tomorrow. I will be thinking about you!!

Thanks Ella your support means so much to me Smile (and the rest of you lovely lot). Not had any more brown stuff this evening. You might be one of those ladies who can't get a positive of a pregnancy test for weeks Flowers

RobberBride · 11/05/2016 22:19

Moomin you have balls of steel to have waited this long. I'm with Ella, I think it is implantation bleeding. Good luck!! I have so many things crossed for you, I look like a pretzel. (Also, quick Menopur question - why 8pm? Does it need to be a certain amount of hours before bed? Do you need to take it with food? That part of the consultation is suddenly a blur!)

Ella I'm so sorry you're going through this. Lots of people have a random clomid cycle that doesn't work (Eskimo for example!) and then the next one does. If I was you I'd do another round of 50mg but ask for a CD21 and CD28 blood test from your GP/clinic to check if you ovulate. If not, you've got evidence to do clomid 100mg for cycle 6. Or could you pay to do another HSG? Or might your GP have sympathy and refer you for one?

Amy and Moomin my last natural period was 2005 Hmm.

RobberBride · 11/05/2016 22:20

Also Moomin do I remember correctly that it is your birthday soon? Happy birthday if so!

EllaMenoPea · 11/05/2016 22:24

Also, if it is implantation it may take a couple of days to get a BFP. I'm sure it will be a BFP in the morning but if it's not please remember that Flowers

Thanks Robber you've made me chuckle Smile Re the 'balls of steel' well it's my ability to be very strict on myself that's got me into this mess (i.e. restrictive eating) Hmm but I know what you mean and thank you. I think Ella is made of strong stuff to have been so good about her body's inability to make up its mind. Well remembered re my birthday - thank you Smile I am now officially in my 'late 30s' Shock I went stabbing at 8pm as I tend to go to bed fairly early and that seemed like a sensible time. The clinic did say the trigger shot had to be done at 10pm though. Not long for you to wait now Grin

Thanks for your words of support Ella - time for sleep now. Nighty night Angry Bird (pretend it's an owl, OK?).

Moomin37 · 12/05/2016 05:18

Well you lovely lot were right and I hope so much you will be joining me with your very own BFPs very soon X.

Moomin Yay yay yay fucking yippee kiy yay! Congratulations! Best thing I've seen for such a long time xxx

AmyC86 · 12/05/2016 18:57

Awe wow! Moomin that's fantastic news! XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX congratulations Flowers

Was someone on here the other day talking about a change in their CM? Mines changed today, from quite watery (which it's been since the end of AF) to a thick and creamy glue type of CM. Just wondered if this was anything to look into?

eskimoflo · 12/05/2016 19:44

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! Our second and much overdue BFFP!! (I added another 'F'- bet you can't work out what it stands for Wink !)

Moomin I'm over the flippin' moon for you! My heart actually did a little jump when I saw those tests!

Don't forget- you're not actually allowed to leave this thread; we're all in this together!

Much love to everyone else- I repeat: it's only a matter of time now before it happens for all of you!

P.S I now own maternity jeans. It's getting real! Grin

AmyC86 · 12/05/2016 19:48

flo I'm so excited for you in your maternity jeans! I seen a woman in dungarees the other day & remembered pregnant women in the 80s & 90s 😂I think that we should bring back that look!

eskimoflo · 12/05/2016 19:48

Amy I believe that thick and creamy CM is the non-fertile stuff that you get at certain times of your cycle. What CD are you? Here's a link that explains all, but make sure you're not eating when you look at it! Grin Shock

SO happy for you moomin Grin

I phone the clinic and I'll get scanned next cycle, thanks for all your advice robber Flowers

Just read back and wanted to add:

Robber You start Norethisterone tomorrow right? Good luck with the pill-popping; I always felt much better when I was taking some kind of pill or when in the middle of DTD- so much more proactive than the dreaded limbo that we all know so well. Confused

Ella Speaking of limbo... how are you? Not going to ask if there's any news because I know you would have updated if there was. Hope you're coping with everything ok. Flowers

Boggle Are you ok? What's the latest with you? Sending some Cake your way. x x

eskimoflo · 12/05/2016 20:13

X posts Ella Let us know how you get on with the clinic Flowers x

EllaMenoPea · 12/05/2016 20:15

Is it tomorrow robber good luck!

I called the clinic today and they said take another test and I'll go in for scans next time...I asked about IUI and they said we'll have a chat about it. They seemed reluctant to do it though.

How are you eskimo?

amy as far as I know eskimo is right about the CM but changes are still good as it may be its going through the cycle. Clomid gives me no CM which is useful!

boggle hope you're OK. Can't remember when your holiday was so maybe you're there now?!!

OP posts:
eskimoflo · 12/05/2016 20:28

Sorry for all the confusion and X posts Ella! Scans are fab news; you'll have a much better idea about what's going on, won't you? I didn't get any and found it quite difficult, especially after the failed clomid cycle when my thoughts were along the lines of 'all that for nothing?!' Confused

I'm good thanks. On the countdown for my Year 11s leaving now- it's only 10 or so days until their exam and I just cannot wait for them to go! Grin Had Year 10 parents' evening tonight so it's been a long day! Tooth (or should I say gap now) is well on the way to healing and the hole is starting to close over so everything is looking decent at the moment! x x x

EllaMenoPea · 12/05/2016 20:36

Ahh so it ended up well timed then eskimo guessing you'll just take nat leave from the summer? How exciting! Teaching year 10's?! Toughhhh job!

OP posts:
eskimoflo · 12/05/2016 20:57

I may go in for the training day after the summer hols, but other than that, yes!

It was remarkably 'well-timed' wasn't it?! Everyone at school (with the exception of a couple of people that I told about our fertility problems) thinks that it was planned that way from the start and I'm happy to let them continue in their blissful little bubbles, unaware of the horrors of infertility! Shock

It's so alien to me that people are actually able to plan for the birthday of their offspring- to think that you could decide to want a September baby, have sex in December and hey presto you're instadiffed is, quite frankly, mind-boggling! Confused Grin

Moomin37 · 12/05/2016 21:04

Thank you so much everyone Smile Still in shock and feeling very cautiously excited and terrified. Scan booked for 27th to 'see if it's viable' and the nurse said she's hoping there's 'only one' so that's all reassuring - not Hmm Tres hard to concentrate at work today - hope I can settle tomorrow and get lots done before the weekend.

Don't worry Eskimo I will never leave this thread as I don't know what I would do without you all. We're here to look out for each other throughout our journeys.

Ella I'm glad your clinic are upping their game and I hope you don't have to wait too long to get going again Smile

Good luck tomorrow Robber Smile

Happy holidays Boggle!

Moomin37 · 12/05/2016 21:07

PS Eskimo I was amazed you have only just outgrown (so to speak) your normal jeans - I only have to eat a few too many puddings and my jeans don't fit!

eskimoflo · 12/05/2016 21:15

Oh my gosh, Moomin I outgrew my jeans weeks and weeks ago!! Haha. I just haven't invested in maternity jeans until recently because I'm an eternal pessimist, so my mum gave me some size 16 (God-awful) cords and I've been alternating those with my skater style dresses and tights Grin Up until about 10 days ago, the only maternity item I owned was a pair of black work trousers that I've been in since February time (and which I am contemplating keeping even after the baby as they're the comfiest thing I have ever worn for work!) Smile

Moomin37 · 12/05/2016 22:12

Oh Eskimo! Gosh this whole 'thing' that we're going through together is so hard at every stage. I was saying to DH earlier that I've always thought if I was ever fortunate enough to experience getting a BFP I wouldn't be overjoyed and think 'great that's it, job done', I would just feel like I'd got a big tick and taken a big step forward in what would still be a challenging and long journey. I so want an alcoholic drink, yet normally I barely drink...

So glad we've got each other Smile
