Shiny new thread and this time I got the title right!

We're all waiting for baby cupcake to come along

I didn't go, he goes with DH. He loves it Ducky. Actually, he likes just about anything.

I am taking him out in a bit for a walk- he is about to have his lunch- to let DH do some work for a couple of hours.

Then we are having our proper meal later on.

A Dr could prescribe calpol, so if you are really worried, I would call 111 Cupcake. Have you taken his temperature?

What do they wear for swimming? I have wanted to take ds for ages because he loves water but I have no clue!

Oh yes cupcake, dr prescribed my ds calpol at that age too. Hope he's feeling better now.

Well DH wears his swimming shorts and DS wears baby swimming trunks with disposable swimming nappy underneath them.

The advice is 30 mins max in the water but they are in the baby pool which is heated warmer and he stays in about an hour. He floats on his back and kicks a lot and likes to play- falls in off the edge to DH catching him. He loves it. DH takes a big fluffy towel to wrap him up in and dry him and rub his arms and legs so he is warmed up. they go to the cafe and he warms some milk for him too and they have a snack- shared a toasted sandwich today. DS has been going since he was about 4 months.

Sounds fun, I don't know how I would find a baby pool near me. Maybe I'll just go to a normal one. I'm not too good with swimming myself but bet ds will love it.

I think most places have children's pools Ducky. I am not one for getting into a swimsuit infront of other people but I enjoy swimming and it would be good for me.

How is DS2 tonight Cupcake?

Lulu sounds like DS loves swimming! It's nice that him and DH do it together :)

I go to a private pool with DS1. It's at a hotel, cost £7 for me and it's free for DS. But the whole pool is heated, it has a shallow pool which is what me and DS go in. It's usually empty there, that's why I go :)

Ducky I'm taking DS2 to the doctors tomorrow to be on the safe side.

He's still quite bunged up and keeps sneezing bless him! The nasal spray and sucker thing seems to work, I do it just before he has a bottle and helps clear his nose whilst he drinks :)
His temp went down which is good! Bit worried about tonight tho as I'm so so tired and desperate for sleep, i don't dare sleep tho I just want to keep an eye on DS.

I will look at hotel pools then, I don't want to scare people by seeing me in a swimming costume

It's good his temp has gone down cupcake, definitely take him Drs to be sure.

Do you have any Menzies hotels near you?
That's the chain of hotel I go to as u don't need to be a member or be staying at the hotel to use the pool.

And ducky that's the reason I go there, I would shock a ton of people in my costume

I don't think I do cupcake but I know there's a hotel down the road with a pool, no idea if you have to be a member to use it.

We have had a limpet day. No idea why. DS has followed me, clinging to my leg, wanting to be picked up, wrapped around me all day. I feel mauled

When DH came in he would not even entertain DH. However he is in the bath having a little play now. Don't know if he is a bit off colour. He was quiet today. He hasn't got a temperature.

I have made soup for our meal tonight. DS has had a baked potato with beans and cheese.

It is so so cold and pouring here and pitch black! Winter is definitely here.

Ducky the appt went well :) his chest was clear and she gave me some nose drops for before bed.

Yes Lulu DS is feeling better this evening thank u. He's only slightly bunged up now.

And yes!! Is freezing here too! I love it :)

Had a palarva with DS1 tonight :( he wouldn't get in the bath for me at all. He kept shouting 'no!' And hitting me and crying and was constantly asking for his dad. :( in the end I had to call his dad to come round and bath DS1 for me :( I feel like such a crap mom :(

Lulu, ds is like that today. He usually won't put up with his dad for more than half an hour, then he had this obsession with him last week but has seemed to have not wanted anyone but me today. It's exhausting.

Cupcake, like I said ds had a thing the other week of being obsessed with his dad, he didn't want to come near me I cried thinking I'd done something wrong or upset him. But he's back to normal now, think they just go through these phases. Was h ok with coming round?

I hope it's just a phase ducky. His dad was fine coming round. Only cuz he'll never let me live it down. Cuz DS wanted him n not me n I couldn't do a simple task of bathing my own son :/ I hope he's back to not wanting him soon

I think I'm becoming ill now I feel so cold and can't get warm n my skin feels sensitive :s

We have had another limpet day. I have carried DS almost everywhere wrapped around me. The squeals if I have put him down have been awful. bUt he has been fine with me. No amount of distracting him has helped. He is happy to be distracted but as soon as I move he shouts. 'No' is one of his favourite words. along with 'mummummummumm' .

He is coming Christmas shopping with me tomorrow- that could be fun

He would not play with DH tonight- which resulted in DH looking hurt (honestly!)

DH in bed 'I am freezing'
Me 'So am I'
DH 'Can I share your hot water bottle?'
Me 'No'
DH ' Well can you put your feet on me when you have warmed them up so I get a bit of a share?
Me 'Possibly, I'll see'

I'm alrite thank u Lulu, think I just had a bit of a stomach bug been iffy all day today but I'm feeling fine now :)

Bless why do u think DS is being off ? Could he be teething?

My DS1 is poorly again!! He's been better for about 2/3 days! Now he's got a temp again and a runny nose so looks like a cold :(
Eugh wish my babies would all be well again! Hate seeing them ill :(

We are fine Cupcake. DS is back to being himself today. We didn't go Christmas shopping- we'll do that tomorrow. We went to baby soft play this morning and then after lunch he had a sleep and I made a couple of Christmas cakes for us and SIL. They are cooling in the spare room, wrapped in linen teatowels - that is what my grandma did. I will start feeding them tomorrow. The house smells lovely.

Lulu good luck with your X mas shopping! It's starting to get really really busy in all the shops round here now. I still think your a domestic goddess will you still be doing your keeping in touch days? With you going to your new job?

Ds was ever so grumpy yesterday too, didn't want to be put down at all.

Well this month is the first month h was meant to be paying the bills, it hasn't happened. He's meant to put £650 in my account, he says he can only afford to give me £500.

On Monday I am going into town to open a new bank account with a different bank, I will then transfer all the bills into our joint account and he can deal with the consequences too. He knew he had to give me the money but spent it on things for himself. It's stressed me out so much but I've decided I won't be dealing with it anymore.

Oo Lulu u seem so great st cooking and baking! I really want to bake a cake now :) might do one tomorrow with DS :)

Oh ducky that's frustrating! he should have put the money aside and not touched it. But that's a great idea to move all bills to ur joint account. How does he think u can pay more when ur not working and he is? Eugh men! Sometimes I think it'd be easier to be with a woman!

Ds1 was incredibly grumpy this morning! He had a bad night and ended up sleeping in my bed. He went to nursery but cried when he got there. Hoping he's in a better mood when I fetch him in a bit.

It must be in the air cupcake, ds is so so grumpy again today. Really not like himself

Hes been great at nursery recently really enjoying it :) he's learning his colours atm and today he's been able to say and point correctly at 'red' and 'blue' :) he also knows green that was his 1st one :)

Anyone can make a Christmas cake. I always use The Guardian best recipes for new things.

It takes minutes to make and you can't go wrong. I only did it two years ago for the first time and I just followed the recipe.

Ducky, your H is crap. That is inexcusable of him to leave you and DS without enough money and spend it on himself; completely irresponsible. You are doing the right thing with your money. I am doing a couple of my KIT days as a handover - and getting paid for them so that is OK. It feels very strange that in 4 weeks time I will not be what I am now. It is a big part of me. But I am relieved- I could not have done it and given DS enough time and DH and I would have been miserable.

We did two hours shopping then DS got very whingey- he was bored. But got MIL and FIL and BIL and SIL and grandma stuff That just leaves DH and I don't go mad with him, and DS and we are not going mad with him.

Omg Black Friday deals got me today

I brought a new coffee machine, reduced from £99.50 to just £26!
And got a new tablet, an Amazon Fire one for £34! Very happy

Good bargains Cupcake. I forgot about it! SIL and I went out for the day with DS up into Northumberland. Got back mid-afternoon and it was getting dark and starting to rain. DS went mad at SIL's - just burning off energy I think. He was full of beans and excited and we were just watching him over tea and cake.

Wish I had remembered now.
