Oo I'll go and have a look in toys r us today :)
I can't see a pic ducky?

Poor DS :( the paramedic said to me get a cloth or tea towel and soak it in Luke warm water. Just so it's not freezing cold, then Dab DS.s head and back of neck with it. It rele works to bring the temp down :)
Also if ur able to let him have a bit of nappy free time as lots of heat gets lost down there.
If u can't bring his temp down after trying those I'd pop him to the doctors incase he's got an infection

Cupcake92 · 20/11/2015 11:40

Oh I see the pic now!!Grin
I like that tree! Is it a black one? Can't quite tell as my phone won't let me zoom in.
I had a black tree a few years ago, I loved it! I had blue lights on it and it looked so cool :)

zombiemeow · 20/11/2015 13:19

Yes it's black Grin

Will take his nappy off in a bit then. He's just fallen asleep for the first time today. I feel so sorry for him.

I called Drs and they said to keep giving calpol and keep an eye on him and if any worse call 111 at the weekend.

I don't really trust 111 though. If I took their advice last time I contacted them my previous ds wouldn't be here Sad

Cupcake92 · 20/11/2015 14:32

Oh no ducky why?? What did they tell u to do last time?
When I called them for DS at the weekend I had to be so mean to them to get them to help me in some way! Then when I was transferred to the emergency services they complained and said 111 should have transferred me straight away as all children under 5 are an emergency. Especially when having a convulsion.

I've managed to get a perfect prep machine off amazon! :) using a few sneaky vouchers I've got one for £52!! Arrives tomorrow :) can't wait!

zombiemeow · 20/11/2015 16:58

That's a good price cupcake!

When he had bronch, he was having real problems breathing and they told me to not be concerned and call a gp on Monday (it was Friday) when he went into hospital that same day I was told if I would have left him it was very unlikely he would have made it through the night Sad

I really don't know what is wrong with him, he's so grumpy and just keeps crying and wants to be held all the time, my arms are aching so much!

LuluJakey1 · 20/11/2015 18:31

CUpcake- we loved the pefect prep machine. We took it upstairs every night and it was so easy for feeding DS.

Hope DS is feelng a bit better Ducky.

It is pouring here and freezing. We are having a night infront of the fire.

Cupcake92 · 20/11/2015 18:46

That's awful ducky :( u did right to trust ur instincts.
That's what my DS was like when he was poorly. Does he have a cough?

Lulu i plan to do exactly that. Might help to prevent waking DS1 up. As he sometimes hears me walking down the stairs when I go and make a bottle.
It's also raining and freezing here too Lulu. We are predicted snow early tomorrow
Morning.

I've spent far too much these past few days. Got DS1 some presents for Xmas, and got a special Mirror for my car so I can see DS2 in the back. I've also signed up to get Sky and I have an extra sky box to go in my bedroom! That gets installed on Monday I'm so excited for it Grin I also brought myself a new Xmas themed bed quilt too Grin and now the prep machine! Going to have nothing left for Xmas Grin

zombiemeow · 20/11/2015 19:27

Freezing here too! Have the heating on. Ds temp came down before bed, before then I hadn't turned on the heating so he didn't over heat, I was so cold.

Cupcake he has had a cold and had a slight cough the past two days but nothing too bad Confused is that what your day did?

It is too cold here. We are going to bed. I have a hot water bottle and DH has socks on!

Cupcake92 · 21/11/2015 10:01

We had some snow! Only a very small amount but it's so cold here!!!

Got up to make DS2 a bottle at about 4:30 and it was snowing :) it looked beautiful!

I've done all my tidying up this morning, and got the washing on. Even managed to have a shower before DS woke up! Lol!
Got to go to asda to pick my shopping up soon, I did a click and collect this time just so I could get myself out the house Grin off to my moms for dinner tonight and tomorrow night as well Grin
Hope everyone has a nice day

zombiemeow · 21/11/2015 10:17

It's so cold here Shock

Ds is feeling better today Grin

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 21/11/2015 11:32

Yay glad DS is feeling better today ducky! :)

DS1 is constantly feeding this morning!

LuluJakey1 · 21/11/2015 14:18

We had a little bit of snow early on and the sky was leaden.

But it got out and although it is very cold it is sunny. We have been for a 5 mile walk along the sea front-absolutely freezing but bracing. Had lunch at Italien restaurant, bought cakes for tea in cake shop and got Metro home. DS had pasta in tomato sauce with cheese followed by ice cream. He was a bit of a mess Grin I had a pasta carbonara followed an Italien trifle for pudding- it was coffee and liqueur sponge and fruit with really creamy custard and meringue and then loads of whipped cream. It was delicious. DH had a spicy pasta with italien sausage and vegetables and then cheese and biscuits, and we had beer and bread with peppers, tapenade , olives etc to start. Cappucinos at the end. So much for our diets. Blush We bought a 1930s wine cooler in the junk market as well- that will come in useful not

DS is fast asleep and DH is going to read the papers with a mug of tea infront of the fire. I am going to change the beds and put the washing on.

Nice day so far.

LuluJakey1 · 21/11/2015 20:40

We have had such a laugh with DS. We had some music on and were being silly and having a bit of a dance and he has been dancingwith us. He was so funny and cute and he was laughing away with us. He was stamping away to Booker T 'Broken Heart' and Prince 'When Doves Cry'. It amazes me the way they respond to the beat and rythmn in music. It is like an instinct.

Luckily it has made him tired and he's tucked up asleep in his cot. Smile

Cupcake92 · 21/11/2015 22:19

Oo sounds like uve had a lovely day Lulu :)

DS2 is poorly now :( he's all bunged up. But with him being only 4 weeks old there's nothing I can give him! :( been using saline nasal spray and a little sucking device to suck snot from his nose Grin
I've raised his crib a bit to see it that helps him breath easier.

LuluJakey1 · 21/11/2015 22:42

Oh no Cupcake! I would be scared with him being so little.

DS is a tough little thing. He has only had 3 colds in a year and none have amounted to much.

He is up in his cot at the minute, wanting attention! DH is sitting with him talking to him. He has had some milk and seems to be settling.

I hate those snot suckers. I hate snot!

Cupcake92 · 22/11/2015 06:08

He's quite bad now like Lulu, and yes it is scary he's so small and delicate :(
I've been up all night trying to get his nose unblocked. He's got a temp too but I can't give him anything for it :s
I'm going to take him to the doctors tomorrow if he's no better by the end of the day,

I'm exhausted.

LuluJakey1 · 22/11/2015 08:28

Poor DS2, and poor you Cupcake. New babies are exhausting enough without being worried, up all night and then DS1 was poorly last weekend. Flowers Hope he improves today. You can't even give him Calpol yet can you?

DH and Ds are going swimming so I am still in bed.

Cupcake92 · 22/11/2015 10:21

I know its one after the other Lulu Grin it'll be my turn next weekend!
And no he's got to be 3 months old for calpol.

Enjoy ur peace Lulu! :)

I need to tidy up today and do the last load of washing.

zombiemeow · 22/11/2015 11:11

Lulu sounds like you had a lovely night. Hope you enjoy swimming, has ds been before?

Cupcake poor ds2 Sad keep an eye on his chest, if he's sucking in under his ribs it could be bronch, ds had that and it started at 4 weeks. They say it's good to humidify the room a bit too so I put some wet towels on the radiator and turned the heating on. Poor little thing, it's horrible when they're so small.
