Emmsys Weebles - The one we keep going!

Well ladies, as requested, let's keep it going, even if it's few and far between! Our little greenhouse still has the door open for all weebles past and present!

I think being able to be bribed always helps And I think because he can talk so well now, he can communicate his frustrations and we can help, or reason with his tantrums. Whatever it is, it's working, and I'm relieved more than anything, I thought we'd raised a monster child! I've laughed so much this week, he's such a comical little thing.

I think of mermaid and mls and barbie often, along with all the old school emmysys. I always wonder what happened to jools. Can't believe your dd will be 6. Doesn't time fly.
Sorry to hear your dh is still struggling, it's a nasty thing, flu. But glad you're feeling better. Us women just get on with it hey ;-)

Yes we do! Tbf to him if he had initially lain down to it he probably would have recovered more quickly. He has a tremendous work ethic which I'm usually really proud of him for but sometimes it blinkers him to what is most important...

So glad you are able to enjoy your boy more. You are far too hard on yourself about the kind of mum that you are/ feel you should be when it seems to me that you are doing a great job.

So sorry ladies I haven't checked in for ages!! But yes it is that time of year when loads of us have losses to remember hugs to all of you!
moon I follow Barbie on Instagram so still see a bit of what she's up to, still jet setting and still with 3 gorgeous-as-ever children!! also follow Sabs and Iggy.. think neeko keeps up with MLS? But yes I do think about mermaid every so often and hope she's OK.
Soo lovely to read you've been having a better time with J..we found the same with ds2 that once he could talk more things do get a lot easier! I'm doing well thanks so much for asking little N is an absolute delight, just so in love with her, and with seeing the boys with her, it's just heart-melting! And she sleeps well too so no complaints here!!

Hi neeko. Up and down here. J can be lovely or can be a little bugger. More of the little bugger at the moment! He's being very challenging to say the least. But there are some lovely moments too, so that helps.

Plodding on here, could do with a weekend to recover from the weekend! Have been away with family but J didn't fancy doing much sleeping he seems to only sleep in his own bed, he even stays awake on a 3 hour car journey.

Oh dear. That boy of yours never really stops does he?
All good here. Had a nice weekend. On the countdown to the summer now! We stop earlier up here. Did I tell you we are going to Florida for my 40th? I am beyond excited and driving everyone nuts with my planning.

He doesn't stop ever! Friends and family always say the same thing, they can't believe how full of energy he always is. He had about 2 hours sleep on Saturday night and he would still not have a nap the next day. I'm exhausted and would have slept all day if I could! I think he worries he's missing out.
Neeko that sounds amazing! I am very jealous! I would be planning away too, it's a trip of a lifetime so you have to get the most out of it! Ooh I do like a good list.

Remember DD2 was like that with sleep too? Take heart. It does get better.
I love a list too. Think I have about 20 on the go right now...

Thanks neeko. It feels never ending at times. Going away is supposed to be a nice thing and it ends up horrible every time.
Lists are brilliant! Dh laughs at me for making them for everything and so do my work colleagues, but I am the one who never forgets anything so it works! If I relied on my memory I would be lost.

Totally agree about lists. We play a game in the car on our way away on holiday where DH tries to think of something I've forgotten. He never can because I've been writing lists for months.

Hello Neeko & Moon just relurked this morning funnily enough! How are you all?
Your 40th trip to Florida sounds brilliant! When do you go? I was lol about lists, I'm surrounded by them at the moment, Summers 6th birthday next week and have hired an adventure playground and invited whole class! crazy 7 weeks after that Teddy's 3, just don't know where the times gone?!

Moon your little man sounds like a handful, Teddy's the same and I think it's a boy thing! You sound like your doing a great job though, thank your lucky stars his talking so well cos Teddy's been a bit delayed so think that adds to frustrations, though he's really catching up now, thankfully as he starts nursery in September, which I think will be so good for him.. also he's so big for his age, looks about 4/5 so do get some wierd looks sometimes!

Big waves to Cloud too, so lovely to hear about your little family of 3! Nice you keep up with a few old emmsys, I often wonder how everyone is doing too.. Still in touch with our lovely mermaid, but that's it!

Did my first post in housekeeping yesterday cos I put Teddy's worn but unused night nappy in the washing machine on a dark wash yesterday! White fluff everywhere! Luckily I got it all out! He's fully potty trained and was done in literally a week, he was def ready, still putting a nappy on at night, but he is always dry so gonna bite the bullet soon, yesterday was my incentive to wave goodbye to the nappies forever! Oh and just reminded me of another milestone to share, Summer got her first wobbly tooth on Saturday and it fell out on Monday morning! She looks so cute and adorable with her gappy grin, and felt quite momentous and apt just before her birthday, my little girls growing up!

Moon- where have you gone? Hope all is ok.

I'm here! All ok. J being a bit of a handful again and just seem to be so busy all the time. I keep lurking with the intention of posting... I'll be back soon

J still being a handful! Terrible twos I guess, still.... Won't go to sleep, won't stay asleep, up early, been awful. Dh and I fell out and its all been horrible. Have cut out the afternoon nap but although that helps, it means J is a monster by tea time. So hard sometimes.

Had a scare with him recently and took him to A&E with a horrible rash all over, he is fine, no known cause! Was very scary though, looked awful and always happens at night doesn't it.

Having a much needed break tomorrow, my lovely mum is having J so dh and I can have some time out together. Been a bit fraught at home lately so I think we need to remember why we're together again.

While I'm here, I would like to mark a place for the two little children who died in the car accident in Scotland. They were the niece and nephew of a friend at work. So horribly sad, couldn't ever comprehend something so tragic. The poor mum.

Hope everyone is ok, I will try to be back again soon.
