Hate that you can't look back on the app.

Cloud so pleased to hear that all is well with you. How are the DSs feeling about another sibling?

Chintaria hey lovely. Hope you are having more good days than bad and being kind to yourself.

Rumours · 08/11/2015 21:09

Hiya hope you're all well. Christmas shopping is coming along nicely here too. Still can't believe how quickly the festive season is creeping up on us.
TV programme is a week tomorrow. I will be hiding behind the sofa.
I've started my meds and have had 3 small seizures thus week. Apparently seizures are a side effect HmmShock, oh well, onwards and upwards Smile

Neeko · 08/11/2015 21:47

Hi Rumours. I'm confused. Aren't the meds supposed to stop the seizures? Don't answer if you don't want to, but are you aware of a seizure when you have one or is it sort of a gap in time? I have a pupil who has just been diagnosed this month.

I will absolutely be watching. Can we vote?

Rumours · 09/11/2015 18:17

Haha yes Neeko I'm confused too. I am aware of my seizures, mine are complex partials. I'm hoping once the meds get fully into my system the seizures will stop. It's still early days.

Of course you can vote. You will find out on the night hoe to. One week to go. Yikes! !

Neeko · 10/11/2015 07:23

Rumours I could vote now Wink

Hope the meds kick in quickly.
See you on the telly! Smile

bluesatinsash · 11/11/2015 22:38

Have it on the planner rumours Smile. How are you feeling now, sometimes with meds it can be a "get worse before it gets better"?

neeko I do yoga too! Been doing an Ashtanga class for the past year and am more flexible than I've been in years. Love it Smile

Agree they're at a lovely age, boys sleep well, long lies at the weekend and great wee chats in between.

Neeko · 12/11/2015 07:43

It's ashtanga I do too Blue and I became an instant convert. I have a cold this week and my first thought was how it will affect my breathing at yoga! Blush
I've been dabbling with Adriene's 30 days of yoga on YouTube too. It's quite good for a bit of practice between classes.
How long did it take for you to feel a difference in flexibility? I've already noticed a difference in my stress levels and my upper body strength and it has only been a month. Wish I'd started during the in the trenches days years ago!

Rumours · 14/11/2015 20:46

Been feeling ok this week thankyou blue, hopefully the meds are settling 'in'.

I've been thinking about yoga or plates, just can't decide on which?!?

Rumours · 14/11/2015 20:47

*pilates not plates!!!

bluesatinsash · 15/11/2015 19:26

Plates Grin. Glad you're feeling better rumours Smile

I do Pilates and yoga - my gym runs the LesMills classes (body combat, bodypump etc) and their "body balance" class is a mix of tai chi, Pilates and yoga. I first went to it summer 2010 when B was six months old and OMG I was like an insect that gets flipped on its back - I just couldn't get up, my pelvis was completely out of alignment Blush. Anyway left it for a couple of years but started again for real Nov 2013 and have never looked back. Then started Ashtanga Oct 2014 which built on what I'd learnt at balance. I still go to both and they are amazing at clearing your head and giving you some me time Smile

Pilates focuses on your core strength so lots of stretching and holding (your thighs will burn!!) and stomach exercises. Yoga concentrates more on flexibility and holding positions that get harder as you get more flexible. As of now I can do head stands, full back bends, I can stand holding on to my foot with my leg straight up. I did do ballet as a child and think there's a inner flexibility in there but the rest is just practice, practice, practice! Some of my friends can wrap their feet behind their heads!! To think that five years ago I could barely lie down let alone lift my leg! I feel fitter and more supple than I was in my 20's. It's part of my arsenal for attacking the menopause when it comes in five years Grin

Neeko · 15/11/2015 20:32

Wow Blue that all sounds very impressive. In awe at your bendiness! I have never tried Pilates. Right now I am just delighted to be getting out once a week for yoga. Some weeks it requires mammoth organisational skills to juggle work, marking, the DDs social life and DH's work to get to that one class. Totally worth it though.

Rumours you are on my planner for tomorrow. Best of luck!

Hi to everyone else. Hope you are all ok.

Rumours · 16/11/2015 21:46

Ok I'm not THAT big in real life!!!!!

bluesatinsash · 17/11/2015 12:02

Grin Grin Grin. Everyone knows the camera adds 10lbs Wink

You looked lovely and I for one felt very proud watching all your achievements. To raise children is hard enough, to raise them so far away from family even harder, to see to their individual needs and foibles hard again but you do all that AND still set up two groups to meet and chat and give peer support is just awesome. rumours you're an inspiration Smile

I was watching telling my DH that you were our first Emmsy's graduate mummy and he remembered all the hours I spent pre I-pad/I-phone squirrelled away on the home PC sharing stories and giving support Smile

neeko honestly it's just a case of practice that's why I love it as every week I feel I can stretch a little bit further and balance a little bit longer.

I've just started a post-grad in HR so I really should be doing my first assignment and not dicking about on the I-pad Grin

Neeko · 23/11/2015 07:45

Rumours I totally agree with Blue: you are an inspiration. I welled up watching it. How lovely to be so appreciated in your community.
The boys looked great too.

Blue. I'll just keep practising. I've never been able to touch my toes Blush so very much looking forward to when I can manage the yoga toe grip. Well done you in the post-grad. Happy studying!

We went to our town's Christmas light switch on this weekend. I can officially start talking about Christmas now Xmas GrinXmas GrinXmas Grin

Rumours · 25/11/2015 20:25

Thanks guys. Next step is the awards ceremony next week Smile

Neeko · 25/11/2015 20:30

That sounds exciting Rumours. Hope you have a brilliant time whether you win or not but really, really hope you win Smile

Rumours · 26/11/2015 20:38

Thankyou Grin

Neeko · 05/12/2015 07:30

How did it go Runours?

Hope everyone is ok in this stormy weather.

moonmrs · 07/12/2015 22:30

Another quick post from me. If anyone is still using a baby gate, beware! I can't open ours quickly, so because I'm tall, I just climb over them. Until a week ago. I thought I'd done the gate up, putting J into bed. Said night night, climbed over it, went flying. Trip to a&e, fractured elbow and torn ligament. Very painful! Arm in a sling and strong painkillers! So please don't be lazy like me and use the catch like you're supposed to. I have learnt my lesson. I'm ok just feeling a bit sorry myself and I will never take my lovely elbows for granted again.
Hope everyone is ok and looking forward to Christmas! J can say Santa Clause is coming on 25th December, so cute! He's coming on leaps and bounds, can spell out letters on his bricks and can count to 10, clever little bugger he is Smile

Neeko · 08/12/2015 21:59

Oh no Moon. Poor you! We always did that with the stair gates too.
J sounds very cute. Smile

bakingqueen · 10/12/2015 22:43

Hello long time since I've been back sorry. L is 4 at school now and loving it and tonight I got a bfp happy but very nervous so I'm knocking on the door of the greenhouse again hoping I can come back in x

Lamaitresse · 11/12/2015 22:00

Oh wow bakingqueen that's lovely news! What a night for me to lurk Grin How far along do you think you are? I'll have everything crossed for you, as will everyone else on the thread I'm sure!!
How are you feeling (apart from nervous of course!)?

Moon so sorry to hear about your accident, poor you!!! It sounds really painful Sad Hope you manage to open it more easily from now on! Hope J wasn't too shocked when you fell. He sounds amazing, you must be very proud!

Rumours would love to hear how you got on at the awards ceremony Smile I really hope you won! I tried for ages to get access to stv but I suppose it was a long shot from Belgium! I was thinking of you though! Hope they made you feel as special as you deserve x

Neeko how are you doing? I hope all is well with you and that you're looking forward to Christmas! Have you got all the presents sorted?! Thanks for thinking of me - I'm in a much better place now than I was thank goodness. It's taken time but I'm starting to come to terms with the thought that we won't ever have a third baby. We're so very lucky to have the two we have so how can I feel anything other than blessed Smile

Blue wow! I am majorly impressed with your flexibility! You must be one toned lady Grin How do you find time to do your classes?! Hope the boys are okay, growing up fast I bet...

4ever I don't think I ever got back to you about my leg operation - yes it was for veins! I have always had rubbish ones but certain valves were leaking so they had to whip them out. The op was two weeks ago, and my legs are still very sore. How long did it take you to get back to normal after your op? Did you have both done?
Hope all is well with you all x

Things are fine here, just trying to focus on ds & dd and enjoy them as much as I can. Ds has been a little difficult lately as he seems to think he knows better than us Hmm and dd is a delight as always - she's starting to speak in both english and french, I'm so proud of her! She's 22 months now and definitely knows what she wants!

Anyway, I will definitely try to post more often - I do pop in quickly to catch up on things but as always RL gets in the way of posting much!

Cloud if you're around please let us know how you are. I really hope I didn't scare you away from posting after what happened with me. I really hope everything is okay with you, your boys and your bump x

moonmrs · 14/12/2015 22:23

Ooh congratulations bq! Still love hearing bfp news Smile
Waves to neeko and chintaria and any lurkers. Back soon. Famous last words...

Neeko · 16/12/2015 07:07

Congratulations BQ. Hope all is well. Smile

End of term madness here.
Hope you are all enjoying the Christmas build up. [santa]

moonmrs · 16/12/2015 22:22
