drttc that's great!!! Roll on the intralipids haha did they give any advice for the spotting?

Drttc · 14/12/2015 14:53

Thank you ladies!!

Well I've not had spotting since Wednesday & AF was due Friday so they said it sounded like implantation/breakthrough bleeding. The thing that really worried me was all the cramping I've had. It's not been very bad but of course it's scary to feel any period-like pain. Not had anything other than the expected twinges today really so feel okay atm. Seems cramping is normal in early pregnancy so I'm just going to have to cope... Knowing me I'll wobble between emotions!

Drttc · 14/12/2015 15:17

Also- in attempt to 'throw everything at it' I've asked Dr S to prescribe me fragmin as many RMC-ers use than as well. Just did my first injection today... Didn't have any instructions so I'm assuming it was similar to the trigger shot (clean skin, pinch skin, inject skin)?

Tryingno1 · 14/12/2015 15:27

Yep it's exactly the same! Ivf patients use it for rm too, no idea why it's standard for by rm And not natural conceptions. Sure there is a reason!!

Do it in ur tummy, it will bruise but don't worry!!!

Ur literally on everything and had stuff before, ur hcg is rising beautifully too! I hope this Xmas u can have a little secret smile on ur face :)

Drttc · 14/12/2015 15:43

Thanks so much, Trying! I'm not going to lie... Are hopes are sky high atm. I'm assuming pessimism will begin to rear its head again though! Have booked a scan for Xmas eve (5 weeks 4 days) in the hopes of seeing a sac and such (fetal pole)? If the pregnancy is there, there's a tiny chance a heartbeat could even be visible. We've certainly set ourselves up to either ride the highest high or lowest low on Christmas Xmas Hmm But God willing, this is our take home little one.

Tryingno1 · 14/12/2015 15:59

I bet u have goggled the chances of 2 beans with hcgs like that-what have u found?!!i have a great feeling for u, I hope I'm right

Snoopy I hope ur ok and had a relaxing day. Don't feel bad being preg is tiring and exhausting. U need to stop when ur body says so.

Drttc · 14/12/2015 16:12

Haha I had looked it up for the last HCG as quadrupling was pretty insane! From what I saw online it did look like some of the HCG numbers women with multiples have- but it really can go either way! I'm assuming as today's number is more reasonable that it's just a single... Though of course we'd happily take ALL THE BABIES- TA! Grin

sunnyday01 · 14/12/2015 17:39

Fantastic news drttc, it's all moving in the right direction. The early days are so hard so just take one day at a time. I had spotting T 8 weeks just for a day but when my AF was due.

The chance of multiple babies when on SO is actually very low!

Drttc · 14/12/2015 17:51

Thanks Sunny! You hear about these things but in the moment it's so difficult to not assume the worst - as you can't tell if it's being left at that or about to completely come apart. I think the scan TWW is worst than the original TWW!! I'd heard multiples weren't the much more common with letrozole... But the HCG was very odd! The nurse even asked 'how many embryos have you put in?' Lol

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 14/12/2015 18:29

hi sunny how are you? Can I ask a slightly personal question? When did your chest stop hurting? I had presumed mine would stop once I stopped the cyclogest but to be honest I seem to have more symptoms now than I did before when I was on all the meds.

drttc that would be such an amazing Christmas present. We can share our scanxiety, I booked a private anomaly scan because our NHS one isn't until the 29th and I just have to know! We didn't have a scan until 8 weeks and I bawled my eyes out because it was the first time we had seen a heartbeat.

trying I'm trying to relax but I hoovered, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen. DH keeps saying I'm nesting, I think I'm just trying to keep my mind busy

Drttc · 14/12/2015 18:38

Snoopy- yes I forgot your scan is Xmas eve too isn't it? What time? Mine's at noon. Oh my lord we're going to be so annoying to everyone on this thread Xmas Shock If we saw heartbeat I'm not sure the waterworks would ever stop!

Speaking of symptoms- Snoopy/Sunny did you have any pre-BFP and at 4 weeks? I'm a bit surprised that my boobs actually have hurt a bit this last week as I thought pred would completely mask it. Also get heartburn...

Drttc · 14/12/2015 19:07

Ah just checked- yours is the 22nd! Still, scan anxiety here we come!

sunnyday01 · 14/12/2015 19:17

Like you snoopy I had more symptoms once I came iff the mess, my boobs hurt on and off until about 25 weeks I think but it wasn't really a symptom I had- mind was nausea in late afternoon and going off random foods. All ok now though and have few symptoms apart from tiredness which seems to have taken on a new level this week!

If one more person says to me, ooooh you can't have long keft, then when I say end of jan they have a surprised look on their face - I'm goung yo hit them! Lol! I'm not complaining really I know how lucky I am to be here.

I also have a scan ne t tues 22nd - my 34/35 week growth scan!

Seekingmiracles · 14/12/2015 19:35

Good to hear from you Sunny Smile

Fantastic numbers there Drttc, really hope this is it for you. I saw a heart beat with my last one at 5+4, it was tiny but it was def there. I was so in shock I didn't cry until I got in the car!
Wishing both you and snoopy every drop of luck and positivity for your scans!!

Trying I bet you canno wait for your holiday! What a nice end to a shitty year. Hopefully next year will bring you. Your take home baby too.
I'm feeling positive for 2016!

Seekingmiracles · 14/12/2015 19:38

Good luck for your scan too snoopy - missed that! I bet you're blooming beautifully!

Hula2 · 15/12/2015 09:50

Drttc - so pleased you have great numbers. Feeling really positive for you.

Went to the dentist today and had to mention my issues since had to declare any recent meds and the dentist said it took them 10 miscarriages and 5 years to get their LO but they got there in the end (he didnt give anymore detail) hopefully that can give some hope them if you hang in and keep going you will all get your LOs. x

Thank you Hula! Wow... Now that is perseverance. So good of him to share that with you and show that it does happen. Hope you're relaxing and enjoying Christmastime with DS :) x

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 18/12/2015 11:55

Hello everyone

drttc how's it going?

Scanxiety really ramping up here.

Drttc · 18/12/2015 13:22

Hi Snoopy!

All good here. No spotting or real cramping since last Friday when AF was due. My clearblue switched over to 3+ weeks yesterday (at 4 wks 4 days) so was happy with that as well.

Me too! 6 days seems so far away :( 4 days for you... You're going to have a great scan!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 18/12/2015 15:11

Ah so pleased for you, it's going to be such an amazing Christmas present for you!

I really bloody hope so, walked into my mums today to find my brother telling everyone there's going to be another baby, pillock!

Drttc · 19/12/2015 03:15

I really hope so. Starting to have that emotional wobble where I find it hard to imagine things actually working out- As in, how could I let myself even believe this is our time? I'm scared I'm setting myself up for devastation. I know I have to stay positive. It's just so much harder than I thought.

And damn these steroids for not letting me sleep Confused

Awww haha that's so sweet!! How many weeks are you now? Surely everyone who sees you knows there's a little baba on the way!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 19/12/2015 09:44

Keep reminding yourself you have done everything you possibly could for the little bean. Oh yeah, the interrupted sleep, that combined with the polystyrene mouth is a nightmare but absolutely worth it.

19 weeks tomorrow apparently. I am very noticeably rotund. I'm very short so there is just nowhere to hide it. When we were going to my mums I said 'better take the baby on board badge off of my coat' and DH just laughed and said 'and how are you going to hide this situation' waving at my belly haha

sunny what time is your scan on 22nd? Are you still managing the gd through diet?

Who's first to jet off on holiday?

sunnyday01 · 19/12/2015 11:03

Hey, my scan is at 4pm followed by consultants appointments!!

I am on metformin now but just a low dose as my fasting blood levels and breakfast levels were a little too high, seems to be ok now though so the meducation is doing its job! Sometimes I laugh about how many different drugs I've taken in the last 9 months!!

There is no way I can hide my bump now it's pretty big! Over the last few weeks I've had random people ask me when it's due etc which is a bit weird!!

Tryingno1 · 21/12/2015 09:33
