SadSorry seeking, I know it's heartbreaking. I hate testing early because of mc2 where they progressively got stronger and then faded away. It's also part of the reason I started the pred late, give myself a chance to ovulate unhindered and avoid the testing early. I know it could screw up af but it seems like the lesser of two evils at the moment.

Drttc · 04/09/2015 18:39

Sorry about your BFN Seeking :( And testing early does stink! Turns you into a neurotic POAS person...

Snoopy, I don't think taking the Pred later will mess up your cycle. I usually started a bit late then tested at 10dpo to lessen the amount of time I was on them!

AF has been so rubbish :( Decided to go full force this cycle so I've booked in for intralipids before ovulation and I'll take the steroids properly as well. Bit bored with it all now... Met that NHS consultant today who was actually really nice. She believes in NKC and the treatment we're doing, she just can't offer it herself. Told me to get referred to her fertility clinic and she'd see about referring us to IVF? Not sure if we'd get approved, but at this point I'm just accostomed to continuously pursuing something. We'll see. Hubs will need a sperm analysis for it so that'll be another test ticked off the list at least!

Hope everyone is having a lovely Friday!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 04/09/2015 19:16

drttc glad to hear you liked your consultant, I think half the battle is having a supportive, open minded doctor to turn to.
Sorry if I'm getting confused but what was the reasoning behind suggesting ivf?

Also, for the ladies who have been pregnant on treatment, what were your symptoms like? I don't think it's happened this cycle, and what with testing on holiday etc. it's really for the best, but everyone seems to say pred masks symptoms.

Hula2 · 04/09/2015 20:17

Sorry for the bfn Seeking, i totally feel your pain with the early testing and then to add to it you ve got to wait another 5 days for af, definetly sucks.

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 04/09/2015 21:16

Ive been preg on tx and had absolutely no symptoms at all. But I did have an early loss and maybe things never really got started?

Sorry for all the bfn.

That's intresting re the ivf-what were her thoughts about it? Was it for Pgd?

Seekingmiracles · 05/09/2015 10:53

Well I appear to be coming on at only 11dpo .... That's the 2nd cycle with only a 10day luteal phaseSad. Another worry to add into the mix. It was always 12 before the last MC. I don't really know what I can do to improve it... Any suggestions?

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 05/09/2015 12:20

Oh seeking so sorry, this whole thing just sucks. I've seen threads on here where ladies have used b vits, I think b6 and 12, with good results.

Right, I'm off on holiday tomorrow so I'll be awol for a bit. It's dredged up a few negative feelings, I conceived for the first time on holiday this time last year and since then it's been one disaster after another. This is the longest time I've not been pregnant in the last 12 months and I'll admit the panic is starting to rise a little that I'm now going to struggle to conceive. I'm trying to put that out of my mind and just think that maybe this time I'm just waiting for a healthy egg but it's hard.

I'll miss you all, see you soon

Tryingno1 · 05/09/2015 13:11

Have the most wonderful time away and happy bday! If I rem it's ur 30th? Try telax enjoy and switch off (hard I know) hope ur going somewhere with nice sun and wine

Seeking sorry, but I think ten days is more that ok? After my mc I had a few 9/10 days and was told not to worry and also after mc can take a good few months for things to go back to normal/can be perm changed. Also hula has said she ovulates the day of a LH surge on the stick-not nec 24-72 hours later. Maybe u lp is more 11/12 if u take that into account
Sorry AF came, have some Choc and go for a run and cuddle the puppy :)

Tryingno1 · 06/09/2015 21:50

Determined u still out there?
Thinking of u!

Hula2 · 07/09/2015 11:16

Seeking sorry about the short LP, as snoopy said i think b vits can help and also acupuncture. I ve also heard of ladies extending it with progesterone and vitex ? Might be worth thinking about superovulation as i seem to remember determined had a normal LP with that and she has had probs on natural cycles.

Snoopy hope you have a great holiday and can really relax and forget things for a bit.

Trying keeping everything crossed for a good appointment at argc on thurs.

Afm af arrived yesterday as expected and just realised that dh is now due to be away day on work day 10, 11 and 12 so the most critical days. He s seeing if he can juggle things to get back a day earlier but if not then can t see any point taking the meds this cycle as i ll have ov before he gets back, so pissed off, this always seems to happen...

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 07/09/2015 12:00

Oh huka im sorry what a total pain! I hope he manages to switch things around, ow yes I suppose a month off will waste less money?

Thank, 3 days to go till appt eek!

Hula2 · 07/09/2015 14:43

Yep with scan and meds is about 300 and its always a push to juggle work and ds to get to the scan on the right day plus if we re only doing this 3 more months don t want to waste one by completely missing the timings. Got till tomorrow to decide as can start letrozole day 2 or 3, would be handy to do this month as worried pred from last cycle might mess this one. Ahhhh so many things to worry about !

I m excited for you about your appt, will your dh be going? Do they do any tests on the day.

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 07/09/2015 15:09

Hope Dh sorts stuff out today then. I think so would override pred causing misbehaving cycles? The uncertainty of it must be stressful, hopefully u will know tmrw

Thanks hula, they do sperm anaylsis (which is actually what I'm most anxious and impatient to know about rather than the appt itself). And another set of immunology bloods-similar to the ones Mr s did. Then it's a montioring cycle with bloods and scans. Then I'll know when I start and can start planning my life!

sunnyday01 · 07/09/2015 16:21

Hula - may be worth checking missing a month won't set you back. I was advised not to miss a month whilst doing so as needs to build up in system.

Hula2 · 08/09/2015 18:41

Thanks for the advice Sunny.

My lovely dh has managed to do a massive juggle and change flights to get back next week. Bloody hope timings are as expected now ! Started letrozole today and scan is day 9 next mon.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Tryingno1 · 08/09/2015 18:55

Great hula
Fingers crossed for u xxx
Ps does iui have better results? Is that anything u would consider? Sorry to throw that in! I was just wondering as it's not ivf intensity!

Hula2 · 08/09/2015 23:21

Yes i have been thinking about whether we should try an iui.....not sure if dh would be keen (and i think they are around 2k) and since his SA is good not sure it would give us that much greater chance but might ask Mr S about logistics of it next week.

OP posts:
Drttc · 09/09/2015 17:26

Seeking, I agree that I think it's okay for there to be a bit of cycle variation after a miscarriage. I too fell into freaking out if my cycle wasn't exactly as anticipated, but with perspective, I realize it's natural. As it was a BFN last cycle, I say write it off and look to this month!

Hey Snoopy! I've also been away celebrating being another year older :) Hope you had a great time! Also, this week was the due date for my first pregnancy this year... Tough realization!

Trying, good luck with your appointment! It's come around so quickly! How's the gluten free diet gone?

Hula, glad you sorted being able to see DH! Interesting thought about the IUI. Have you tried softcup? I've heard that can be helpful.

Just had my pre-ovulation intralipids! Bit of a sore arm but the last was lovely (as usual). I'm curious about adding clexane to my protocol as I've read that women with recurrent chemicals have had success with similar medications. I'd have to have an appointment with Dr S before being approved for it though... ??????! Also thinking about humira as it's supposed to help with autoimmune issues. Can't remember if anyone's had side effects from humira though?

Drttc · 09/09/2015 17:30

Sorry about the typos!

the lady (not last) was lovely*

?????! Was meant to be pound signs (bc seeing Dr S is expensive)*

Seekingmiracles · 09/09/2015 22:26

Hi Ladies,
Thanks for advise re short luteal phase. I know that mc can change things.. i'm hoping it's not permanent. I've calmed down a bit now. Acupuncturist is aware of situation so hopefully she'll be able to help. I've also got a low dose vit B6 and I emailed Louise, who said I can try cyclogest from day 16-26 so will try that after ovulation this cycle. Was wondering if it could possibly be the DHEA I've been taking??

Glad DH managed to rearrange his work schedule Hula.. will keep everything crossed for you.

Drttc - I hope this is your cycle also. Fingers crossed.

Trying - I really hope tomorrows appointment goes well. I'm excited to hear what they say Smile

sunnyday01 · 10/09/2015 08:56

Just a quck message to say hope your appt goes ok trying x

Drttc · 10/09/2015 11:01

Yes good luck Trying!!

Tryingno1 · 10/09/2015 12:35

Aw thanks girls means a lot!
Am here and feel nervous?!

Tryingno1 · 10/09/2015 18:55

appt was fine, not much to say!
prob gonna do pgd

they will do my immune before and every 4 weeks in pregnancy and during ivf

hmm they want dh on 1000mg vitc and 800IU of vit e. its to help fragmentation which we can't test

his sperm count was still really low, all they could say was "a few sperm seen". :( they have advised us to keep freezing and hope we can use fresh on day but have frozen as back up

he said to keep positive! which was nice.

thanks for wishing me well! any questions please ask!
hope dTD went well hula
seeking - yes look to the next cycle, all crossed for u
sunny - thanks - how r u? felt kicking yet?
drtcc - yay for pre intralipds, hope this is ur month!

Drttc · 10/09/2015 19:19

Hey Trying! Glad to hear it went well and you've got a plan in place :) But how come they can't test for fragmentation? Are you still going to coordinate with Dr S or is this their own way of doing immunes?

I'm sooo confused!! The last two months I've had a positive clearblue ovulation test on CD10. This month I had neg CD7, neg CD8, neg CD9.... Then I tested in the evening today (still CD9) and it's gone straight to a positive test! I have the kind that shows you flashing smileys on the days leading up to your positive LH surge. I don't understand how it went straight to positive on the same day! Does this mean I'm ovulating today? Tomorrow? Ughhh would have DTD more if I'd known the test wasn't picking up my fertile days! Poo :(
