billy I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about two and a half years ago after I collapsed at work and GPs finally decided to check for something more than anaemia.

Have you had any testing for thyroid antibodies?

billy15 · 13/12/2015 23:02

Blimey Drttc that sounds awful!! I guess you have it under control now?

Yeah I've got the antibodies and hypothyroidism runs in the family. Its all autoimmune related I guess. Not sure if Im best to take Thyroxine with a positive or not. When I asked Dr S he just kinda shrugged it off!

Tryingno1 · 14/12/2015 08:04

Billy look into the tablet trial. I don't know much about it but it was a trial looking at thyroid tablets in people with antibodies but not normal thyroid levels. Not sure if it's still running or results not out yet!

Drttc good luck this am. X

Drttc · 14/12/2015 08:34

Thanks Trying! Well I've done my beta but had my intralipids pushed back to Wednesday morning! On Wednesday it'll only have been 13 days since my last intralipids so should still be okay. They were quite busy today and asked if I'd be okay with that and they've been so great I said sure. Plus depending on my results this afternoon it's logical to do them after Confused

Tryingno1 · 14/12/2015 08:37

That's fine dr-the intralipids last 3-4 weeks so wed is prefect. Looking fwd to ur 3pm update!!!
Right my diet starts today! I have 7 days to loose this post mc comfort eating and drinking weight!! Xmas Envy

Drttc · 14/12/2015 09:00

Hehe uh oh! What kind of diet as you doing? And home come it's 7 days?

Tryingno1 · 14/12/2015 09:35

Then I'm on holiday!!!!! :)
Low cal crash diet. V bad for me and never done it before but really want this weight gone before I go on on holiday! Am starving already!

Drttc · 14/12/2015 09:37

Awww okay! My area is health psychology - DO NOT eat less than 1200 cals a day please!!!

I didn't realizing you were leaving before Christmas? So exciting!!!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 14/12/2015 09:54

But trying what about mince pies!!!!Xmas Grin

billy I don't think it would hurt to try thyroxine and as previously suggested definitely look into the tablet trial.

I am done with struggling to get into work on packed, late trains and feeling dizzy, nauseous and stressed. I called in sick, first time since last mc. Why do I feel so guilty Sad

Drttc · 14/12/2015 10:16

Don't feel guilty Snoopy! Everyone needs a sick day every once in a while. Put your feet up and enjoy!!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 14/12/2015 10:38

You're right drttc, stupid work ethic. I wanna go on holiday too! haha

What time will you have your results? Don't worry about intralipids on Wednesday, I was told they last at least four weeks

billy15 · 14/12/2015 10:51

I was on the Tablet trial and had a m/c (although I dont think I was taking the tablets properly as I'd been ttc for 6 months and was getting disheartened). You only get one 'try' on it so that was that! I've still got some tablets left tho!
What do people think about having the intralipds prior to ovulation?? Many successes? Im wondering if its something I should try after 3 chemicals in a row, and starting to get desperate!! With my age time is running out fast!

Snoopy enjoy a duvet day!!

Drttc good luck and I hope you're coping OK

Trying Holiday sounds very exciting!! I hope you have an amazing time!

Drttc · 14/12/2015 10:57

Hi Billy- I think if chemicals are your problem then early (pre-bfp) intralipids are a good idea. Also, super ovulation works well with it because that way you know what your body is up to that ovulation.

Drttc · 14/12/2015 10:58

And thanks- I'm okay aye. Will start freaking out in the afternoon I'm sure!

Drttc · 14/12/2015 10:58

Okay atm no aye lol*

Tryingno1 · 14/12/2015 11:01

Billy at Argc they really believe that it starts with implantaion and that pre immunes are important. esp with chemicals.(hence the comment for me to use protection so I don't get naturally preg) they want my uterus to be calm immune environment when I get a bfp as 4 of my mc I've either have no immune tx or it's been after.

Mr s also feels the same. But it's too exp and pain to keep having intralipids every month I suppose-but if u get preg quickly then maybe think about it! Drttc has done that and hopefully a baby in the making Dh

Tryingno1 · 14/12/2015 11:01

Just to confuse matters prof quenby doesn't think that and her patients start steroids post bfp!

It's al very confusing!

billy15 · 14/12/2015 12:22

Thanks Trying and Drttc it's the stress of organising it all, taking time off, the 3/4 trains each way, and the pressure it adds to getting bfp! This stress is rubbish eh!! But yeah sounds like a good idea and whats the alternative! I should stop with the bloody complaining! Smile

Has anyone tried a Paleo diet? As I've heard it can help with auto immune issues?
(sorry lots of questions today!)

Tryingno1 · 14/12/2015 12:24

No not tired it!

So glad I'm away this Xmas - it's our third Xmas with no baby. Really couldn't deal with staying in uk this year! Not got much hope next Xmas will be any diff but maybe one Xmas might be!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 14/12/2015 13:21

Aw trying you will get there. Remember 'everything will be alright in the end, if it's not alright it's not the end'.

billy I know a few people here have tried gluten free. I personally could not handle being that strict with food and since I got the last bfp I've eaten tons of gluten, fried food, sugar etc

Drttc · 14/12/2015 13:23

I imagine paleo is quite similar to gluten free?

Being away on such an amazing holiday for Christmas is a great way to refocus! Trying, you're in the absolute best hands in 2016 so you never know what next Christmas will bring. I know you've tried many things but even you admit you've not done the protocol you're about to try and you've certainly not done it with the ARGC. You're young, can get pregnant, and DH has sperm. But most importantly- you are so determined! You are going to get there. You were not on proper treatment the other times and this will be a new chapter!

Tryingno1 · 14/12/2015 13:42

Thanks guys :)

I keep telling myself I've only had pre bfp steroids the once. And maybe that was the one chromosomal loss so it didn't work?! Wishful thinking!! Other days I focus on the fact I've had 5mc and how sorry I feel for myself. It's so variable my mood!

Will log on at 3 to hopefully hear some good news X

Drttc · 14/12/2015 13:58

1491! Doubling time of 32 hours... Think I'm happy with that?!

Tryingno1 · 14/12/2015 14:02

Yay! Great news :)

billy15 · 14/12/2015 14:04

Wow Drttc that's fantastic! Smile
