This is a thread for those diagnosed with high or very high natural killer cells and trying to concieve or are pregnant and taking steroids/intralipids etc

Evening ladies. Well had my intralipids eventually (my viens were crap
so six attempts to get the iv in, anymore and i was going to say give it a miss...). Scan only one follicle (and big -24mm for day 9) lining he said was ok at 7.8mm but is the lowest i ve had so sod s law doesn t look like the best of cycles....and dh is away tomorrow night which i thought would be ok at usually triggering day 11 and altho mr s said do it tomorrrow morning i m wondering if that follicle will go earlier by itself anyway....arrggh.

Have got progesterone to add this month (prob good esp as last cycle lp had gone from 14 to 11 days), tho sl confused as to when u take it. Mr s said day 16 to 26, so right up to af ? I read some people take it straight from ov but that will be 5 or 6 dpo for me. Seeking what have you done ?

Mr s also suggested i try one more cycle with an even higher letrozole dose (15 ?!) .....i m not sure.....i d got my head around this being the last one.....

Oh bugger Hula, great that it's a good size already. Hopefully the cyclogest will help improve your lining too. So don't count this cycle out just yet. Louise also told me from cd 16. Which works for me as I have been ovulating on cd 14. I've only been taking until 10dpo though as I didn't want a ridiculously long lp. I've then got af at 14dpo, giving me a 13 day lp.
I think being as specific at cd16 is a bit ridiculous as some people ovulate late. I used to ovulate at cd18!!

Thanks Seeking. Yep seemed a bit strange as i will ovulate on day 11 and i also thought it would take af a few days to come after stopping so thats why you stopped it at bfn. Very confused, will ring and double ck tomorrow.

Ouch hula six attempts! I've been trying to drink loads and eat something a bit sweet before mine as this seems to help the weeny little things haha that's good news about the follicle but I can't offer any advice on the progesterone, being one of those weirdos who ovulates on cd19

So it would appear that the Nhs's idea of self referral is having to go in person to the hospital to fill in forms, then being contacted at a later date for the booking appointment thingy. Then at some point having a scan. So missing work even more. I'm still waiting for an appointment for my thyroid blood test. Starting to get really stressed about it all. Oh and did I tell you the bloody NHS ivf clinic wrote to me telling me off for not going to the appointment I cancelled and saying they had made me a new one!

Yes i don t think i d had enough to drink so if i do them again i ll make sure i m well hydrated.

I m afraid the nhs can be a nightmare for stuff like this and you dont seem to be able to get any choice on appts times they just tell you. It doesn t really matter too much when the booking apt is (just bear in mind they will take bloods at that one) but for the nuchal scan it needs to be done between 11 and 13+6 (its too late after that to do certain measurements). With ds despite having a booking apt at 10 wks the only scan apt they could give me was after 14 wks ! So just be prepared to do it privately if it doesn t come thru in time (or its stressing u too much). This is what i did and it was about 180 for scan and bloods at the fetal medicine centre. They also do saturdays and evenings.

hula did you manage to clarify the cyclogest situation?

Crap I've just paid nearly double that. I couldn't live with the paranoia anymore so I caved and booked the nt privately for Wednesday. I keep hoping that life couldn't be so cruel as to let me get this far and then there be something wrong, but we all know life is horrifically cruel sometimes.

I am officially by my own dates 'whispering' 12 weeks today.

Omg congratulations Snoopy!!!!! So wonderful to be able to say you've reached that milestone. Are you telling people little by little now? Or staying tight lipped for a while longer? Is there a bump?

Erm maybe a tiny bit of a tiny bump when I stand up but I can still suck it in which is more than I can say for my gut.

Even if it goes wrong I will try to take solace in the fact the treatment stopped me miscarrying

AFM, I was 28 weeks in Thursday, had a growth scan and found out we are having a boy! Feels funny knowing now! Also had a glucose tolerance test and I have gestational diabetes so need to get that all sorted next week - I'm hoping I can just control it with diet rather than insulin - a bit gutted but need to do something about it as at the moment they are predicting a 10lb baby!

Yep I'll be doing everything I can to try and make it smaller!!

Got a terrible cold too with an awful cough - I'm worry that it's affecting the baby. So many things to be anxious about constantly!

Wow sunny, 28 weeks is amazing and congratulations on another pred thread baby boy! Sorry you're feeling so rough though. Make sure you take care of yourself and now that your diabetes is monitored I'm sure you'll be ok

Snoopy huge congrats for the 12 week milestone. how wonderful! Yep I lurk on the rm thread occasionally! There is a girl on it who's 10 weeks in an Ivf preg after 3 mc so there's hope!

Sunny-a boy wow! It's bloody crazy how many boys are born on thus thread. There must be a reason! I don't think anyone has had a girl?!!! Sorry re the diabetes, fingers crossed you mange to get things controlled. Have u decided about ur birth yet? Congrats :)

Hula sorry the intralipids were a pain! But glad u got them in u. Hope u clarified the prog question, sorry I have no idea. I really hope this is ur month! If not, are u going to give it another go with higher dose?

I'm on way down to London for tnf retest tmrw. Keeping everything crossed really hard they have reposnded and I can start soon. Had a really fun weekend with dh this weekend doing house stuff and putting pics up and going out for dinner etc...keeping busy till Argc give me green light!

Oooh trying I have to go to wimpole street for blood tests tomorrow. Have you seen the lady on the rmc thread called batkingtreefrog? She has just got a natural bfp the day she was about to start another round of ivf, her first ever natural one I think. I know it's not the same as your scenario but she was on all the same sort of drugs as you for her cycle so that makes me really hopeful

I'm cd11, so yeah should ovulate within the next few days. Got acupuncture on Tuesday and that normally gets things going.

I got a BFN at 8dpo again and I'm really upset! I know it's too early and there's even a chance I'm 7dpo.... But I'm feeling very doom and gloom! 5 months of trying with no success despite trying to do everything right and spending loads on preovulation intralipids! How can I get pregnant 3 times in 6 months then no times in 5 months! :( Feeling so sorry for myself and not proud of it....

Ohhhh :( big hug. But u know very well that 8dpo is wayyyy to early. U might be lucky to usually get a squinter on day 9 and 10 so keep a little bit of faith. I hope it appears. But if not its crappy and unfair. But it will happen one month it's just when!!

This is a long and annoying and stressful and sad journey but ur not alone!

Spoke to pgd guy again. We gonna go for it and then if on day 3 things are looking bad back out. But if plenty of good embryos then go for it. So at least that's one descion! They can't do pgd over Xmas so rules our cycling in Dec :( so even if tnf is ok will be Jan earliest. (Deep breath deep breaths).

Arghhhh so sorry you're pushed back until January Trying! You have the patience of a saint... At very least when you try in January it'll be a little embaby placed inside you (not just insemination). You seem to have a very receptive womb so if you're doing so much to control NK cells AND transferring a healthy embaby... Well- you've really given it everything. Sending you loads of positivity.

Oh Drttc, I'm sorry but you have tested VERY early so there's still every chance that it's only just settling in in there. I think even 10dpo is bloody early. I over analyse all the charts on fertility friend and there's loads that have negatives before positive. My last pg I had a bfn 11dpo and bfp at 12. It can happen.
Try not to let it get you down just yet. I know it's hard. Big hugs.

Trying It sounds like you've made a sensible decision re pgd. At least having to wait until Jan means you can enjoy the odd glass of wine over Christmas...

Dh and I have a go appointment on Thursday. I want him to have another sperm analysis. His last one last year showed below average motility so I want to know how that is. And I feel like I need more support from the NHS in some way.... I don't know how but l need a chat.
