Waiting to try, and cycle a mess from the pill

Just wondering if there are any other lurkers in the same boat as me, planning to TTC in December/January?

I came off the pill three months ago and have only had one pathetic AF in that time, so very glad I came off early but also pretty anxious at how messed up things are, 1st cycle was 39 days, this one is 40 and courting.

So who's with me? I can't be the only person on here who is actually hoping for AF!

I'm not sure if I ovulated or not? I'm on CD26 now? I'm going by my app when I ovulated and it said I ovulated the 14th of January? So it a waiting game for me ?

Newgirl- yay we are cycle buddies when are you going to test? Have you had any symptoms?

My OPKs never hit a peak so I don't think I have ov'd yet, unless I just missed the positive on the OPK! They never got dark enough that I even assumed ov was near! Ah my temping has gone to pot it was just disrupting my sleep too much when DH was getting up 5 some days, then I would perhaps sleep through until my alarm at half 6. Just felt I couldn't measure it consistently! It jumped up by almost whole degree at the weekend which made me realise I must have done something wrong I've just got a feeling this cycle is going to be a tricky one to pin down! How's your temps looking new girl? Xx

Hmm Cookie if your temp jumped up at the same time as your faint OPK's that could indicate ovulation if it stayed high for 3 days or more, or a failed attempt if it didn't. Hope it comes soon for you!
I've read that temps are ok if taken within an hour of the same time each day so long as you've had at least 3 hours sleep beforehand, so it might be worth persevering. My temp alarm goes off just after DH gets up and then I go back to sleep until my alarm.

Bobo I know it's nice to have a cycle buddy!! I think I might do an IC test on Friday...so worried it's too early though. I've not had any major symptoms, I had one bout of feeling really nauseas for about an hour (but it could well have been what I'd eaten!) and I've had on and off very mild pelvic ovulation twinges the whole week but think I'm just being hyper sensitive to symptoms!! No bleeding or noticeable boob soreness. What about you?

Still not there yet! Will keep testing and keep dtd!

The bottom one is from 8.30 this am (2nd morning wee) after was woken at 5 to the cat being sick. Onestep say not to test til 10am, so will keep you updated!

Getting there though first they are going in the right direction!

Update...tiniest amount of brown in my CM this morning...cautiously hopeful!

Looking back to last cycle, I had 2 days of almost positives before I had a proper surge. I won't get too excited yet!! Could be friday before i get a positive!

The lower 3 are on 7th and 8th december, then i got a positive on 9th december am (4th one up), it then stayed positive until evening of the 10th (top 2).

I wil keep testing!

Newgirl - Fx that's implantation bleeding!! I've just been really tired. I never get sore boobs I feel like I'm missing out somehow as everyone seems to get them around af/ov/pregnancy! You could test with an ic on Friday and if you get a bfn assume it's just too early. I quite like doing ic's so I don't get my hopes up too much. I think if I made myself wait the whole 2 weeks I would get overly excited and disappointed when it's a bfn but maybe I'm just weird

Probably not relevant ladies but thought I'd share. OH insists the cheap pregnancy test strips are rubbish... so told me to do one of the left over ones this morning to prove it wouldn't picky up I'm pregnant despite our strong clear line on FRER yesterday

Low and behold... completely nothing on FMU!

Just peed again so thought I may as well dip and run 😉 also did an OPK as heard they can detect pregnancy too...

OPK test line was darker than control (yay) and HPT actually showed a line this time but V V Faint... how odd!

So my new motto is: FRER is the way to go, pee on one and then you'll know

I'm less convinced i am going to surge now. i think i need to stop POAS! I aback at work tomorrow so won't be able to so obsessively!
Last one was a bit lighter, but then my urine was more dilute.
I will do one more before bed tonight.

Thanks for the tip choc for those of us waiting to test!! What brand FRER did you use? All I have at the moment are IC's...maybe have to get one for Friday

Choc you have definitely got a line on the IC! Your hcg doubles roughly every 2 days... So it is going up significantly still at the moment between am and pm. If you Google hcg levels at days post OV you can see how different sensitivities affect results and also day/time.

First looks like you are getting there. You had a very obvious surge last month so it will be hard to miss when it does happen :)

I'm apparently on 5dpo according to ff. and 3dpo according to ovia. Who knows, will just have to watch and wait xx

Haha first, that's funny (although not when you are waiting bloody ages to OV)... Ovia obviously can tell if blood is shedding from your uterus even if you can't! 😂

Mostly the font of Google, (naughty I know) and a few fuzzy memories of gynae modules at uni!
It depends a bit which ones you look at but they give you a rough idea based on blood hcg levels of what average hcg is on different dpo and how it can vary for different people. Just interesting. X

Aw newgirl, that's pants.. How far did you go out of your way? How many dpo are you? If you are pregnant the embryo isn't anything to do with your blood supply until About week 4 of pregnancy ie when you miss a period, so I wouldn't worry too much about a glass of vino! Xx

Hey everyone due AF tomorrow but getting no symptoms I ran down the stairs today and I nearly cried with the pain of my boobs for some reason there feeling heavy and filler than usual ? Just getting excited but I'm afraid to test incase BFN it will kill me :(

When are you going to test shanskate? Fingers crossed. Funnily enough I used to get REALLY sore boons before period when I was on the pill.. And God help me if I ever rolled two packs together, I couldn't even roll over in bed! Yet since stopping the pill I don't get sore boobs as pre AF symptom at all. Funny old bodies. X

I'm flat out this weekend so cud be next week some point il be getting first response and use it 1st pee in the morning and the another one in the evening I suppose if AF doesn't arrive?
I never had sore boobs pre AF or on the pill which is why I'm concerned about it so I'm praying here it's BFP il give up if it's not :(

No surge this evening.... the wait goes on. Can't decide when to dtd. Don't want to peak too soon (so to speak) we just about manage eod and every day during/straight after surge
