Waiting to try, and cycle a mess from the pill

Just wondering if there are any other lurkers in the same boat as me, planning to TTC in December/January?

I came off the pill three months ago and have only had one pathetic AF in that time, so very glad I came off early but also pretty anxious at how messed up things are, 1st cycle was 39 days, this one is 40 and courting.

So who's with me? I can't be the only person on here who is actually hoping for AF!

Wow congratulations Choc! Brilliant news, so glad it turned out to be a happy ending for you after all the stress. Let us know how you get on your scan.

Chapman so sorry to hear about AF, that's a strange one just after your positive OPK's Confused. Not surprised you are feeling upset bless you. How long was your cycle? Is there any chance you could have missed Ov earlier in the month?

Ok so this afternoons opk was much darker but not yet positive. I am hopeful!

First - that's great news, make sure you test multiple times a day now so you don't miss the surge Smile

I'm 8dpo now and feeling ridiculously tired and eyes feel like I've been up for days! Also have a stuffy head with lots of pressure but not overly painful. This better be pregnancy related or I will be one grumpy bum come testing day Angry even though deep down I'm not expecting a bfp since it's first try and cycle is a mess

Great that you have a darker OPK fx you will get a positive tomorrow, I'm on CD 20 just getting really faint lines on my OPK still x

Yvonne I have had loads of faint ones earlier in cycle. Will do one more at about 10pm and test with cb if it looks positive to confirm. Hope it is not a false alarm again!

Congratulations choc! I know it's been a confusing few weeks for you but I'm glad it has ended well!!

I'm really sorry Chapman, how long was this cycle? You might have ov'd and missed it on opks. It seen fertility friend charts before where people are pregnant so obviously ovulated but never got positive opks.

Poin. What about doing your opk before you leave work? You only need a little plastic pot and stick your opks in your bag? Or I sometimes try to wee at 2 ish and then hold wee till I get home and opk then.

Bobo hope your tiredness is a preggers symptom! When are you going to test?

First, ooo let us know how your opk goes, if post a pic, I have a weird fascination with seeing wee sticks! Haha.

Thanks girls for all your thoughts it's appreciated! No I defo didn't miss my ov period - i took a pregnancy test before as my doctor told me too.

I realise what it is now. On Wednesday I went down stairs about 4am had horrible headache and I have 2 jars one with my pill in and one with the headache tablets - my pill is just continuous so it doesn't matter what day I take I'm still protected and I just dipped my hand in and assumed it was the right one I was half asleep and the light wasn't on took it then realised that it felt small turned on the light and I've took a pill instead of the ibropufen powder tablet. I didn't think it would make a difference as I haven't taken another one since then but obliviously it's had effects and made me come on. It's only when my oh mentioned it to me cause i came upstairs all upset.
I told my auntie about it before and she said when she was ttc with her first she took a couple then stopped then took a few more and stopped and she conceived the next month she said something along the lines of - your body wakes up a bit etc but any ways I'm on fkin cycle day 2. Ready to ov around first week in Feb!!! Xxxxx

Chapman I'm so sorry hun. You must be feeling devastated & frustrated at AFs early arrival! I had no idea that re taking the pill could have that effect, especially only one pill. You poor thing. First week of Feb isn't too far away now. No doubt you will still ov before me, going by my bloody long cycles!! Xx

Thanks cookie I feel like a fkin moron to be honest but that's the only thing I think that's caused it. Haha don't be silly you know what it is I'm getting obsessed I need to chill and stop worrying about ovulating and just enjoy dtd and it will happen when it's meant to be. I promised myself I wouldn't get obsessed but I am and I think that's having a negative effect on my body! How are you Hun? Xxx

Chapman at least you know what it was now, would have been worrying if it was completely out of the blue. So gutting for you though, can't believe one pill would have that much of an effect! Like cookie says, first week of Feb isn't that far away - next week!
Glad your OH half has been supportive and helped you figure it out.

Bobo fx for you - we are about the same place in our cycles. When are you going to test? Lots of people catch a little fertility peak after just coming off the pill!

First really hope you get your darker lines soon. Keep DTD as much as you can anyway in case you don't get a really dark one.

7DPO and the wait is painful Sad

Chapman - poor you, at lease you know the reason and that your body wasn't misbehaving on it own and don;t beat yourself up it was an easy mistake. fx this new cycle will be your cycle!

Sunny - I'm going to try an IC on Friday which will be 11dpo (because I'm impatient) and then use an frer on Monday at 14dpo for a proper test. No idea when af is due as CD62 now so hoping if I wait until 14dpo that will be enough Smile just been our for meal with the girls and had to try and stay awake haha bed for me now I think!

Tomorrow is another day closer to bfp's and ov's for all! Night ladies x

I admire your attitude Chapman, onwards and upwards! My Gran used to say 'what's for you won't go past you'- it's true! I'm good thanks! Had negative OPKs so I'm feeling a bit blah. Had geared myself up for potentially ov'ing this week but no sight if it happening just yet!

New girl, Bobo- won't be long until yous test! Keep us updated with potential bfp symptoms! Sunny, are you in your tww now?? Yvonne, I feel your pain with the faint OPK lines! Mines looked darkish at the weekend and are barely visible now. It's so frustrating!! Hope yours is positive soon too, first!

Shankate I think you should just test?? It would put your mind at rest! You're quite far into your tww aren't you?

Sorry if I've missed anyone! I must say, this thread really helps get me through the long wait throughout my cycle! Xx

I'm due AF in 2 days according to my app?
But not sure as I didnt use opks to check when I ov and if nothing arrives and BFN I clearly didn't ov yet at iv been TTC almost every night :P hopefully I did catch ov and AF stays away :( really hoping to get BFP this month FX :(

Sorry Shan! DPO = days post ovulation.
If you know this you can have a good idea whether or not you'll get an accurate pregnancy test reading. Usually you won't get a positive before 10DPO but can take up 14 days or more.
So I guess an easier way of asking is if you know when you ovulated, and if you know what cycle day you are on X
