Good news on the test size! Smile

Hope you have fun at drinks with the girls kazz that sounds like just what you need.

Thanks march and choccy...

So the plan is now to go to appointment as normal on Monday (8.30am) then have a chat with D... Nat said she might be able to wangle an earlier appointment with a scan but she couldn't be sure yet. If she can't then it will be a scan at 5.30pm that day so will have to go back. If i have anymore pain etc then I have the EPU number so just have to go there.

Prof Quenby isn't too concerned as have stopped spotting (i don't know if ectopic gives continuous spotting?) and pain is mild really... she thinks i might just be really in tune with my body (as we all are after what we have been through).

I am finding it difficult to relax which means I notice things loads more too.

Really, really, really hoping that it isn't ectopic.

Asked the OH to get a digi test just to get a feel for the hog levels as don't know what the bloods say (is that a standard thing that they do?) the normal HPTs are getting much darker, much more quickly so that must be a good sign right?

xx

Vicki that's a great sign. It's really really hard not to worry at this stage, especially with a frikkin weekend in the way!! But in so glad you've been able to get in for a scan even if you have to go back.
The Epu at Cov are lovely (apart from one occasion I had a miserable cow!) so don't be afraid of giving them a call over the weekend if you are worried. They don't scan over the weekend but they are there to talk to. Really praying that it's just your body adjusting to the baby and you don't get any further pain xx

Vicki272 · 21/08/2015 18:05

I seem to remember that I had this sort of pain that worried me on 1st pg - that was the mmc that got to 9.5 weeks.... don't know if that is a good sign or not? just have to try and stay sane for the weekend then wait it out monday and hope that D can get me in earlier than 5.30pm.

Need all the praying i can get i think.... REALLY hoping that it is all okay. xx

I would tend to agree with prof q that your senses are heightened (understandably), and that is unlikely to be ectopic, but glad you are getting the scan anyway to make sure x

Choccywoccydodah · 22/08/2015 19:37

How's things today Vicki?

Just been going through some messages looking for a friends address that I haven't put in my book and saw one when I lost number 8. I started bleeding on the 22nd Oct at 5 weeks pregnant. Pip is due 24th Oct, what a difference a year makes.

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend xx

Vicki272 · 22/08/2015 19:52

Hey choccy bit of back pain today and some serious hot flushes (who knew that was a symptom of pg?)

Feeling more positive that the pain isn't a consistent one and just have to wait for Monday to have that scan. The thought is terrifying though!!

Wow - that is amazing and just puts things massively into perspective!! Smile YAY!

xx

Not long to wait now Vicki, great news no pain though. Back pain is normal as your body is adjusting.
Shame I'll miss you tomorrow, have my scan at 1.30 x

Vicki272 · 23/08/2015 11:44

Aw! That is a shame choccy! Good luck with the scab though.

Hoping D can wangle something in the morning, else will be coming back at 5.30pm. Will be worth it to know what is going on. Can't help but think it's going to be bad news.

Had more tugging pains on the right side today. Worrying a bit but trying not to. I Think they were more on one side with our first pg. guess we won't know until the scan tomorrow.

I'm hoping that if it was ectopic I would be in lots more pain, with it getting worse.

I've also been told that I have a tilted womb so guess that might have something to do with the pain being one sided and towards the back? (Might be wishful thinking there!!!! )

That is a real shame about tomorrow! X

Choccywoccydodah · 24/08/2015 13:54

So for those in Coventry, I've just had a look around Lucina birth centre. I'm an now so torn as to home birth vs Lucina. The unit is lovely, so much better than normal labour ward. The staff were so lovely and was really calm and clean and quiet etc.

MAS7 · 24/08/2015 14:28

How was your scan choccy?

I'm not allowed in the Lucina birth centre, gutted as I have heard it's lovely. Maybe you should go there if you feel comfortable with it now that you've seen it?

starlight11 · 24/08/2015 14:29

choccy - I'm due on 18th Oct, we must only be a week apart. Hope your growth scan goes well today

Vicki - good luck for your scan today, glad the spotting has stopped, hopefully everything will be ok, I know it's a very stressful time. I didn't ever find out what caused my bleeding and spotting, but it stopped by itself in the end, it went from just over 4 weeks until 9.

Kazz - I'm glad your friend is being sensitive. It is very difficult, of course you are happy for her, but I can understand why you want to be pre-warned of her announcement. Sorry about your other friend, her announcement was pretty insensitive.

philippa88 · 24/08/2015 15:30

It's been far too quiet on here!
Any scan updates?? X

Genwah85 · 24/08/2015 15:31

Brummie my scan is thursday morning, I'll only be 11 weeks 2 days but I'm 12 weeks on trial so will be handing back my last injections and be on my own from then....I hate the few days leading up to scans :(

Vicki272 · 25/08/2015 13:51

Hey ladies, sorry haven't been able to get on since last night due to this hacking thing!!

Scan was good - baby is all in the right place and looking like it should be at the 5 week mark, couldn't really see or hear anything but at least we know it is not ectopic!

I got myself in such a state before - i was genuinely terrified and utterly convinced that it was going to be bad news!!

So relieved though... can relax about that one thing anyway.

choccy D said you were asking after me Smile

Wow gen fingers and toes and everything crossed...

How is everyone doing? It has been quiet on here the last few days or so, hope everyone is okay? xx
