It's my 10 week scan today, keep your fingers crossed ladies! I feel so anxious this morning. I've woke up full of cold aswell Sad

Vicki I had cramps during first 8 weeks, always started 20-30mims after injection & would last a few hours...it unnerved me at first but then I clicked that there was a pattern after taking injection. I also had brown spotting from 5-8 weeks & even had 2 red bleeds. X

littleb84 · 17/08/2015 08:19

Sorry I should have made it clearer....it's the trial doc that has told me to take baby aspirin. He gave me a list of the usual vitamins to take plus baby aspirin. My BMI is over 30 as well so maybe it's because of that.

Good luck today brummie...I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine. When was your last scan, 8 weeks?

philippa88 · 17/08/2015 08:46

Good luck brummie, let us know as soon as you can! I will keep checking for updates!

Choccywoccydodah · 17/08/2015 08:52

Nooooooo DO NOT TAKE BABY ASPIRIN OB THE TRIAL!!!!!!!!
It will affect your blood results!!!

Choccywoccydodah · 17/08/2015 08:58

Posted too early.
That Dr should not be advising that!
You should not be taking anything except the jabs and normal pregnancy vits. Baby aspirin thins your blood and prof q MASSIVELY is against using it at all never mind on the trial.
I was taking it and I was told it was in your system for up to 2 months and I couldn't take part in the trial if I'd had it in my system.

philippa88 · 17/08/2015 09:09

Choccy - you're scaring me!! It's fine for me surely since I'm not injecting now??

Kazz2112 · 17/08/2015 09:09

I was the same Choccy. I told them id self tried aspirin with mcs and she needed to know how long before that had been. It was 4 months before but she said under no circumstances to take with the trial drug.

Just phoned my EPU regarding a scan to make sure it's all gone and they said it's not necessary. Hope they know what they're talking about.

Choccywoccydodah · 17/08/2015 09:21

Philippa you're fine sorry! It's while your on the trial you shouldn't be taking it x

Choccywoccydodah · 17/08/2015 09:21

*you're

Choccywoccydodah · 17/08/2015 09:23

Kazz are you still getting + hpts? If so I would insist on a scan. If they are - everything will have gone :'(
I'm so gutted for you sweetheart. How are you feeling? Xxx

Kazz2112 · 17/08/2015 09:40

I've not done one so far but just done one now and it's definitely completely clear. Just hope AF doesn't land early in the middle of my holiday. Will have to take supplies just in case. if I'm lucky we land back Saturday afternoon and it should be due Sunday.

Vicki272 · 17/08/2015 15:17

Good luck with the scan today brummie let us know how you get on.

I keep having twinges all of the time - L didn't seem too concerned with the spotting as always seems to be brown. What did you do on the red ones brummie?

The back pain is a definite pattern - about 30 - 45 mins after the injection it sets in and then lasts for a few hours.

The spotting seems to have developed a pattern too - lots in the morning and tails off in the afternoon - anyone else had this at all?

Booked in for my 5 week appointment next monday... seems like an eternity away! have to just keep going an hour, then a day at a time i guess!!

kazz big hugs lovely... how are you bearing up? Fingers crossed on AF not coming mid hols! hope you get the chance to go away and take your mind off things (as much as you can anyway) for a while.

How is everyone today? xx

Baby aspirin...all checked out again with trial doctor and nurse and I'm absolutely fine to be taking it. My dose is half the maximum allowed in pregnancy and the only one you're not allowed on this trial is blood thinning injections. I only need to be aware that if I have any spotting or bleeding to stop taking it immediately. My trial doc says some around the country do not agree with it, but others do, its just all a case of opinion really. But thanks all for comments etc, feels good to have checked up on it and put my mind at ease.

Vicki have you had your appointment today? How did it go? Any news on the scan yet Brummie?

Hopefully AF will be on time for you Kazz and after your holidays. Where are you off to?

Brummiemum87 · 17/08/2015 15:31

Hi ladies my scan went really well, baby was a right wriggler!
Picked up my last batch of injections eek!

Hope the scan was ok brummie. Let us know how you got on.

Hope the timing works out for your hols kazz.

vicki, i think blood can collect overnight when you're lying down so it will often seem more in the morning when gravity starts acting again. Hoping it tails off but glad to hear the trial team aren't too concerned.

Marchgirl · 17/08/2015 15:36

Ooo. Crossed post. Congratulations brummie, and great pic

littleb84 · 17/08/2015 15:46

Lots of crossed posts for me!

Glad they're not worried about the bleed/pains Vicki.

Wow Brummie, what a brilliant scan Grin

Vicki272 · 17/08/2015 16:04

Great pic brummie!

I was wondering if that was what it might be march... Just have to keep monitoring it and see how it goes...

Still feels completely surreal, have no symptoms yet so don't even feel pregnant!! Just very worried and anxious.

little appointment was fine - just more bloods and see how i was getting on... went through the pains etc and brown blood and got my next lot of injections.

Booked back in next week... if i make it that far xx

Thats an amazing scan!

We're off to Kefalonia for 11 nights. One week to go! Been ploughing through school work today in the hope I am get rid of it all when I go in for results on Thursday and have 2weeks of real holiday!

I've no scan photo or amazing cake photo to share... so I thought I'd share the results of my drunken weekend! Ooooouuucchhh! That's my bum!!!

Ouch on the bruise!

I'm so jealous at Kefalonia, I went there last year and loved it, such a peaceful & gorgeous place. Are you staying in Skala at all? If so I massively recommend Captains Bar for cocktails, especially once it's dark as you get sparklers in your cocktail lol.

philippa88 · 17/08/2015 17:33

Fab news brummie, baba looks quite happy in there :) x

Kazz2112 · 17/08/2015 18:20

No Little. We're off to lassi. but I'll be sure to search out some of those cocktails! Has anyone heard from Genwah recently? How are you doing?

Indiedog · 17/08/2015 18:38

Hello everyone. Lots to catch up on.
Hope everyone is bearing up ok under the various circumstances.
I had stringy brown stuff at about 7/8 weeks I think. Then stopped.
Injections gave me tummy ache across the top, over belly button etc.

Kazz, I went to kefalonia many years ago, with mum when she's was still around. Loved it, from what I remember! I must have only been 18/19 yrs old.

Just spent three nights at butlins with my munchkin. No hubby as he worked!!! I'm shattered now, having done it all myself and lugging a six month bump around. Glad to be home, to sleep in my own bed.

Husband has gone fishing and I'm just about keeping my eyes open. Roll on bed time. X

Choccywoccydodah · 17/08/2015 18:45

Glad you've had reassurance little but I still believe you shouldn't be taking it. Not just for you, but for the purposes of the trial. Your blood results will now show a difference in what is not just actually the injection (if you're on the drug), therefore making false results for the purpose of the trial. Does that make any sense??

Brummie, amazing scan piccy!!! Does it all feel real now?

Kazz OUCH!! That looks bloody sore!! Good going Grin
So want some sun, hope you have a fabulous time, you deserve it!!

Vicki, glad appt went well, and that L and D don't seem too concerned. Are you getting scanned at your next appt?

Been busy here today, rented 2 rooms (that's what we do, landlords), done my tax return (as we've just bought another house so needed it for the mortgage), and empties the nursery ready for stripping Smile
Feel exhausted now so going to cuddle up with ds and have a cuppa!!

Vicki272 · 17/08/2015 18:53

Hi ladies...

choccy no scan until the week after... Still only 4 weeks.

Went to the loo just now and have passed a decent sized (couple of mm) brown clot. Can't see how this can be good news...

Ouch kazz that looks nasty!

I can't help but worry. Every time I try to relax I go to the loo and there's more discharge.

X
