Lovely dizzyn

Kirjava · 05/08/2015 09:15

Sorry for the bfns ladies. Keep your chins up - you'll get there x

Cd14. Opks continuing to get darker. I've had thrush which meant a pessary so this has made cm checking not possible, obvs . We've been dtd though - got home late last night and did it half asleep Hmm delighted that SIs seem to be having some impact. This time last cycle my opk was blank so clearly there's some hormones surging around stronger and earlier than normal. Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for a biiiiiig ovulation very soon.

Sunshinegirl2015 · 05/08/2015 09:25

Thanks Dizzy hopefully I get a sold smiley tomorrow. I've ordered a bb thermometer so will start taking temp as soon as it arrives. Love the ring! Beautiful!

Have doctors tomorrow to discuss painful periods again so that's something at least.

Fingers crossed you OV Kirjava!

Nomio230 · 05/08/2015 09:52

That is lovely, DizzyN! Really classic and elegant.

Ouch, Sunshine, your periods sound terrible. Have you been investigated before?

Thank you all for your lovely words of encouragement. You guys are all amazing. Flowers

Night, I had an appointment with the consultant & was told that one of their criteria is that you have to have lived in the area for at least a year. I explained that we had been referred in our old area, but had to move as the house was being sold, but they just didn't care. They are refusing to refer me until next Feb.

Sunshine, I forgot to say, don't give up on OV. Lots of people seem to have had the same problem with the CB dual. I just got days of flashing faces & no positive one month, but know I ovulated as I was temping.

Argh the NHS rules are so annoying sometimes nomio! Do you know how long after referral it takes to start IVF?

DizzyMerry · 05/08/2015 10:24

Nomio my heart breaks to read your post. I was feeling exactly the same last month so I do know what you're going through. It took all my energy to pick myself up month after month and I just wanted to give up. You are strong and I promise you will find that energy and positivity to keep going and you will get your bfp. Keep the faith Flowers

That's a lovely elegant ring dizzy. Congrats once again.

nightandthelight · 05/08/2015 10:30

What annoys me is every doctor I meet (and I meet a lot at work) has about 10 children (slight exaggeration) but won't help you get one nomio! I know they are bound by the rules but that rule doesn't make sense. The younger you are when you get your IVF means a higher success rates and fewer complications in pregnancy and beyond. Financially therefore it makes sense to get going as soon as possible!

eskimoflo · 05/08/2015 10:43

Morning all! I had a better night with my shoulder and tentatively think that it might be on the mend! Fingers are still numb and I still have to lie on my back, but it only woke me up once in the night and I was able to have a lie in until 10 this morning! Having said that, I still can't use my left hand to wipe when I go to the loo because of the pain, so recovery might be a while yet... Hmm

DizzyN Your ring is lovely. I'm jealous that you get to do the wedding planning and get married! I loved planning our wedding, even though it consumed my summer last year!

Kirjava Hope the OPKs read positive for you soon and that your infection clears up too. x

Sunshine I'm sure that on her last cycle, Mummy had 8 or 9 days of a flashing smiley and then got a solid one and got her BFP, so don't lose hope! Of course, I may be wrong, but she might be around to confirm soon.

Having said that, I've used OPKs since coming off the pill and always got peak and solid ones at the 'right times' but tests have shown that I've never ovulated... I still use them though and got me a flasher this morning. I think it might be that I'm producing the hormones, but my ovaries are asleep and not waking up to the signals. I'm hoping the 100mg of clomid has given them a good shake this time.

eskimoflo · 05/08/2015 10:46

Also, I went shopping yesterday and couldn't find any grapefruit juice, so had to get 'zingy breakfast juice' from Sainsburys. It has pink grapefruit in it, so I'm hoping it'll be enough! Confused

RalucaMorena · 05/08/2015 11:04

Eskimo what is the juice for? Blush

Mummyofonesofar · 05/08/2015 11:09

Gorgeous ring DizzyN

Sorry for more BFNs Sad hugs and Wine all around x

Kir gold sticker for you DTD with thrush! I couldn’t imagine how awful that would be.

Sunshine don’t give up – keep going, well remembered eskimo I had 8 flashy smileys!! I ov’d on CD18 and got my BFP at 9DPO Grin. I hope you get some answers re your awful periods but fx you won’t be getting them for much longer Wink

Have booked a private scan on 27th, the day of my flight to Bulgaria, when I will be 8w by ov date or 8+3 by LMP.

eskimoflo · 05/08/2015 11:11

Grapefruit juice this side of ovulation is supposed to increase cervical mucus, whilst pineapple juice on the far side of ovulation is supposed to aid implantation by making your uterus lining quite thick Grin

Sunshinegirl2015 · 05/08/2015 11:27

Thanks everyone. Still positive. And it's good to know that others have had the same and got a happy ending.

New thermometer due to arrive any time from Sat so will start temping.

Had painful periods as a teenager and used to faint and be sick in school. Was put on the pill and was on it for ten years until I came off it in Jan 2015 to start ttc. Have been pretty regular so far with cycles averaging at 32days.

Of all my post pill cycles only two have been bad but seeing doctor tomorrow to discuss it.

Last month I got AF 10 days after reaching peak fertility on ClearBlue so want to discuss possibility of short luteal phase too. Not been trying a year yet so not worried but still want it on record and hopefully to sort painful AF.

First cycle post pill was 42 days then 31, 27, 31, 32 and last month 29.

RalucaMorena · 05/08/2015 11:29

ooooh! Now you mention it I remember it too! I should get some as I'm cd10 so getting ready for it! Grin

Sunshinegirl2015 · 05/08/2015 11:32

Eskimo I started the grapefruit juice and pinapple thing this month. Also making sure I drink 2L water a day as I'm terrible like that. Luckily I like grapefruit juice!

chopsface · 05/08/2015 15:15

sunshine I also had fainty bad periods at school etc and I was dreading coming off contraception to TTC. What I did is make sure I took 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen at the first onset of cramps and take several sets throughout the day! The GP will tell you there is nothing you can do to stop them apart from going back on the pill! Let's hope you get a bfp soon! I keep thinking though, if I used to faint with period pain how the hell am I going to be with labour pain!!??

Can I put a dampner on your pineapple juice story? It's actually eating pineapple core that's meant to improve implantation.

Rainy34 · 05/08/2015 15:44

Dizzy your ring is lovely, x

I havent been very good at being on here, finding it hard to be dedicated to ttc at the moment, I came off all the potions and vitamins the last two months to give my body a rest and se if it would help with the spotting but in fact its worse than ever, I am going to order pregnacare again , think once i have been for my appointment il be hopefully more keen on ttc, just feel at the moment i am wasting my time!!

I promise i will be better at being on here more!!

Sunshinegirl2015 · 05/08/2015 15:49

Thanks Chopsface fingers crossed for that BFP eh!

Doctor has told me that before and I've also been told that once I've had a child the pain will decrease haha. I guess I kid myself I could be preggers and so don't want to take anything.

I know what you mean - I studied child development at GCSE and my teacher said take your worst period and them multiply the pain by 100 and that's what it's like to give birth. I reckon she was just trying to scare a class of teenage girls though...I hope...

I guess I worry as my mum had endo. I'm sure once I do get a BFP I'll look back on this an laugh!

Is pineapple core the same as eating pineapple? Or where can I buy the core if not? Sorry if this sounds dumb Blush

RalucaMorena · 05/08/2015 15:55

You have to buy a whole pinapple for the core. I tried and couldn't eat it. I got pg without it 3 times so hopefully will happen again and no mc this time!

Sunshinegirl2015 · 05/08/2015 16:10

Gap on the market then! Thanks Raluca

loopylou1984 · 05/08/2015 17:26

Hi ladies, just popping in to say hi and make sure I don't fall off the bus!

Also I remember I promised to let you know how dhs sperm results had changed following starting the Brazil nuts! Well compared to the last results most things had improved, but not by a huge amount:

Pre Brazil nuts

Density 82.00 x 10/6
Count 221.4 x 10/6
Motility 54%
Morphology 5%

Post Brazil nuts

Density 109 x 10/6
Count 239.8 x 10/6
Motility 50%
Morphology 6%

So in conclusion, they can't do any harm, but not sure how much good they do either!

loopylou1984 · 05/08/2015 17:31

As for me, no news really. My post cancellation cycle bleed finally finished on cd10! So god knows when/if I'll ov this cycle - it's cd13 now and opks are still negative. Am hoping af is either on time or REALLY late so that embryo transfer is on time or even done sooner if I only have to wait one cycle!

If I let myself think about it I get upset hence not being here quite as much, it's just hard as I should have known by now if I was pregnant!

What have I missed? Anything exciting? Xx

eskimoflo · 05/08/2015 19:52

Hiya Sammy! Good to see that you're still here and dropping in, even though it must be so tough for you Flowers Flowers FX that AF comes when you want it to.

I'm not sure what you've missed, but nothing exciting has happened in the last few days, as a lot of us are either just about to hit ovulation time, or just over the TWW and getting bfns Sad.

I do have a message for you from Purdie, who knows that you have been asking about her. She's doing fine, but she's de-registered from here. I think she's just hit the 15 week mark. Smile Here's what she said 'Tell Sammy I am rooting for her and wish her and Lucie all the luck in the world.' Grin x x x

loopylou1984 · 05/08/2015 20:14

Rrr Eskimo, thank you for passing Purdies message on Smile
Please tell her I'm so happy for her, 15 weeks is so exciting! I miss her though, I take it you're all still chatting on fbook?

Sorry for all the bfns, it's rubbish.
But good luck to all those gearing up to ov ???? Xx
