Hairstylisttoboris · 28/07/2015 19:59

sammy you'll be missed - let us know. What happens next. X

Kirjava · 28/07/2015 19:59

eskimo lovely lady, clomid WILL work for you. You'll be upduffed very soon, and all this waiting and hard times will be worth it. Flowers

Pixa · 28/07/2015 20:00

Sammy I haven't been around a lot, but I have been lurking and following your posts. I a, thinking of you and wishing you all the best. X

Kirjava · 28/07/2015 20:01

I have insatiable hunger and massive boobs. SI side effects?! had the last dose today so onto coc and opks in the next few days.

eskimoflo · 28/07/2015 20:12

Oh, thank you ladies. I think I'm just worried because I've read today that clomid works best for women who have PCOS, but isn't as successful for those who have other issues, so I'm fretting. I will keep positive though and hope that is does work this time. Smile

Welcome lily Smile We are here to hold your hand through the TWW Flowers

Raluca Well done for watching your hubby down his vitamins! I tried to do the same yesterday with my DH. He is really good with taking his Wellman, but I found some vitamin C tablets in the cupboard last night and, after reading on here about it, I asked him to have one. He was just about to, but looked at the best before label and read that it was 2012! Blush They had gone a little bit discoloured, but I reckon it would have been fine! Hmm

Pixa It's really good to see that you've got a Plan B that you're starting to consider. I think that anything that helps us have a little control is a huge help Flowers Flowers

Sammy Sending all the good thoughts in the world your way. We are all thinking of you and we'll be here when you are ready to join us again. Enjoy getting your little puppy home Flowers

Kirjava Wishing you a speedy ovulation! Grin

DizzyMerry · 28/07/2015 20:14

We're all here for you sammy and will be thinking of you. I'm so sorry things have been delayed for you but wishing you lots of luck for your transfer. It will come round quickly and so will your bfp.

Pixa good on you for exploring all your options. You sound stronger and more positive. Wishing you lots of luck.

nightandthelight · 28/07/2015 20:49

Twas indeed fostering which is still something that I am very interested in for the future :) I would be really interested in hearing how your event goes pixa! Would you be looking at adopting a baby or a slightly older child? I hear that siblings can be quite hard to place but imagine that that would be a lot of work! So glad that you have a plan that is moving forward :)

Nomio230 · 28/07/2015 20:49

Sammy, have a good few weeks ' we will see you when you are able to try again.

Frog, I love you really! I have missed you posting.

Pixa, I am really pleased you & DH are moving forwards. I really hope you become a mum soon however you get there. You are still not allowed to leave us though!

Eskimo, I am really hoping that Clomid works for you this time round. If it doesn't for any reason, it might be worth looking into Letrazole. You would have to get it privately as it is not licensed for fertility in the UK, but there are lots of success stories out there. I am thinking of trying it if I don't get PG soon.

I am home now, completely stuffed & seem to have bought a new handbag. Blush I blame my sister!

Rainy34 · 28/07/2015 20:53

thanks for the new bus!!

Sammy really sorry you have to wait longer, have they gave you a reason why your ovary is filling with fluid?,

Welcome Lilly, hoping your stay is short, but good you have joined us!!

Hi frog nice to see you back!!

Eskimo hope the clomid does the trick for you!!, dont read into the anovoluton, think positive!!

Pixa nice to see you on here, hope the adoption event is helpful!!

Nomio230 · 28/07/2015 21:08

Rainy, I could be wrong, but think Sammy is still suffering the after effects of OHSS.

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 28/07/2015 21:44

DizzyN/Rainy - Its still the OHSS, I had thought that as I feel fine now everything would be back to normal, but sadly not.

DizzyM - it just has to resolve itself unfortunately, but im trying to drink loads as that can help.

Auf - your post made me smile on what has otherwise been a miserable day. I am going to try and book a spa day and will damn well make sure I spend ages in the sauna. Enjoy your time out :)

Boris - I sympathise about your boss Boris. Ever since I got signed off mine has been horrible. I told her ET was likelt to be early October and she replied 'realistically how long do you think you'll have off? Colleague X is off that week and it will really impact us if you're both off. Leave does have to be agreed'

Nomio - Thank you for the new bus! I really like the intro... in fact it has convinced me not to get off the bus completely which is what I was planning on earlier today.

Thank you to everyone else who has commiserated me this afternoon.

Welcome Lily :)

I asked the nurse today to find out DH SA results, so once we have those I shall report back on how much effect the brazil nuts and vitamin c have had!

I will be lurking, but am going to try to enjoy other things in life this month... I need to remember that ttc is not the only thing in my life.

Good luck everyone, Xx

Nomio230 · 28/07/2015 22:22

Awww, Sammy, that is such a lovely thing for you to say. I am so pleased you are not leaving us completely.

Night, how are things with you?

OP posts:
MadameLeota · 28/07/2015 23:52

AF arrived morning of 27th (while in airport just before flight typical). Had packed a load of IC preggo tests ready for testing on Fri. Guess I get to show them a holiday and take them home again! DH is not with me and I get back home the day after FF predicts my OV so feel shit. TTC cycle #4 is already a failure. Bring on cycle #5. Not that I'm wishing my life away....

frogbubbles · 28/07/2015 23:58

Thank You lovelies for the super welcome back. It's nice to be back, I really missed the buses and support from you all.

Beautician I think the clear blue trails are all the same. I just googled it and the applied. It's fairly straight forward

Flo I sure do, but I'm certain that clomid is going to work like a charm this month so we can use them to celebrate instead Smile

Dizzy thank you! How you doing lovely

Boris sorry to hear you are having a pity party. I'm CD2, I can't remember which cycle it might be 6 or 7 I've lost track.

Pixa I hope the adoption event goes well lovely.

Sammy sending lots of hugs, I think sometimes a bit of time away and focusing on other things can help.

Nom nice work on the handbag purchasing, I'm a sucker for a nice handbag or purse Wink

Well Ive started on the b6 and EPO again tonight, who mentioned Brazil nuts? (Thank You) I forgot about those I'm sure I still have a jar somewhere in the back of the cupboard, I'll start on those again tomorrow, how many should you eat in a day? Was it 2 or 3?

BabyBumpHopeful · 29/07/2015 01:32

As it seems people have abandoned the other bus:

DizzyNorthern technically BFP due today if I'm right about when I OV'd, which is also 2 days later than I would normally OV and my OPKs were dark but now i'm not sure if fully positive, and my temp DID change but then I only tested for 3 days.... [see the crazy here??]

Normally I have an 11 day LP. Normally I OV on CD20. Normally I have a 34 day cycle. Normally I would have started AF today. However this time, assuming I OV'd when I think I did:

  • OV CD22
  • LP 12 days and counting
  • CD35

As you say, annovulatory are the worst :S My last one was in May... well actually I think I OV'd late that month it went for 47 days... so it might be time to settle in for the wait here soon :S

DizzyNorthernBird · 29/07/2015 07:13

Morning!

baby keeping my fx for good news for you and that it's not anovulatory.

frog lovely seeing you back! Will you stay this time? no more than 6 Brazil's! I've really acquired the taste for them now. DP even enjoys them too but I didn't tell him why we're eating them sneaky!

I'm up very early as dp's alarm woke me up so I got up. I'm feeling rather foolish, I had a massive temp drop of 0.2 degrees, but I woke up with a very dry mouth and a sore throat so I decided to poas. Bfn again!! So stupid! Lol.

I'm off to see my friends new house this morning and then out for dinner with friends tonight.

Ooh I keep forgetting to tell you lot my good news! DP has got a new job! Total career change! Which is exciting as he's been very unhappy at work for ages. He'll be on much better money and there's much more scope for career progression for him too. During his training he'll be earning the same as I do, which will be strange as I've always been the breadwinner. He's going to see a pay rise of about 600 a month! So this will mean we'll be in a much better place to buy a house in the next year!! Grin

nightandthelight · 29/07/2015 08:15

Yay congrats to Mr Dizzy!

Hi nomio I am well thanks, relieved to finally be in the second trimester :) so glad that there is finally some sunshine today and I'm on a half day so will be able to enjoy it! What's happening with your IVF lovely?

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 29/07/2015 08:17

Frog Brazil nuts what do they do?

Pixa good luck at the adoption introduction. It's nice that you've got an alternative option.

Lily fx for a quick BFP and a nice sticky bean.

DizzyN it's not over yet. Yay for DHs new job. Will be lovely to have all that extra income especially when maternity leave comes round Wink

I'm probably crazy as ttc but I've just taken on a beauty room.My own business. I really hope it picks up fast and that I'm nice and busy by Christmas Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 29/07/2015 08:33

Ooh beaut that is so exciting! Will you have to take on staff or will it just be yourself? Is it a 'ready made' business that you've taken on with clients or do you start from scratch?

Yes DP said yesterday about me going back to work to a three day week....that would be bliss!

Forgot to say, welcome to lily!

nightandthelight · 29/07/2015 08:43

That would be so nice Dizzy! DH is due a pay rise in September and we are hoping it will enable me to go part time :) got to visit his office for the first time yesterday, it couldn't be more different from mine! You swipe to get in and when you reach the lift there is one waiting for you programmed to go to your floor! Also they have ping pong tables. Why am I in the public sector again?

chopsface · 29/07/2015 08:43

Morning!

Eskimo I know a lady who got her bfp on clomid (cycle 3?) And she didn't have pcos. She was failing to ov after coming off the injection. Don't rule it out yet!!

DizzyNorthernBird · 29/07/2015 09:04

night I ask myself that question regularly! I'm very jealous of DP going private!

lilygirl81 · 29/07/2015 09:16

Frog I did a CB trial years ago, do you still have to keep bottles of pee in the fridge? Think DH would notice that more than sneaky temp readings

Pixa I hope things go well for you, it's an amazing thing to do

Found out today another girl in the company is pregnant, as well as a girl who had an 'accident'. Fx I get to join them soon, though at this rate there will be no women left, all either on mat leave or about to go.

I'm trying to find the right time to speak to my boss about a promotion I was essentially promised last year, I know I deserve it, have worked so hard, and put myself through accountancy exams, 5 in the last year!!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 29/07/2015 09:17

DizzyN I will be working within an existing hair salon so hoping to pick up some of their clients. Once I'm established and busy I will take on someone to cover weekends as I won't work them and hopefully to cover maternity leave eventually Grin.
I'm taking the dcs leaflet dropping today . See when they get older they have uses haha. Don't worry I'm paying them (may be slightly less than minimum wage though. Shhh )

I'm sure there are lots of threads on here about clomid being successful. I've seen a running joke on mn that the majority of ladies on clomid conceive girls.Smile
