TTC - anxious over early pregnancy possible symptoms?

Hi,
First time post so please be kind :)
Been TTC for 4 months now (though month 1 we missed my fertile window)
I'm around 5ish days from AF being due but wondering if I could be pregnant for a few reasons: I e been really struggling to sleep the past few nights and when I manage to I have really vivid dreams (the kind when you aren't sure if they have actually happened when you wake up) I've been peeing almost double what I normally would and every now and then I get a weird feeling in my stomach, in a similar place to where I have period pains but it's not pain, it's more like when you over extend a muscle, just a twinge then it's gone.
Was wondering if anyone had similar symptoms? Sorry to pour all this in here (you've probably heard it a million times before) but nobody knows we are TTC so I'm kinda on my own with this!
Thanks

godmother you are allowed to feel however you want about AF arriving, regardless of thread theme etc, no judgement remember Smile I'm pleased it means you can get back on track and focus on the next cycle x

tiggery hello, you're more than welcome to join us, lovely! Sorry to hear about your BFN though you do seem to have some positive symptoms... I try to leave it around 3 days after a BFN before retesting, mainly cos I can't deal with seeing one every day but also cos I know that really I've tested too early!

Thanks Prty - got it one. Figure irregularity is better than non periods however hard it makes it not to track ovulation.

Tiggery - reckon you can hold out til Friday? I'd say two days late is probably a good yardstick if you are usually regular cycles plus suitable time after last test.

Have a good day everyone

pammy410 · 15/07/2015 08:57

Anyway, morning ladies.

I'm feeling more positive today. Had a long chat with my partner last night. if AF hasn't arrived by Saturday we will test. That's the first morning we will be together due to him starting work at 5.30am.

Hope everyone is well.

Glad u r happy that AF has arrived godmother and Annie. fx'd for this cycle.

Heheh, well my excitement could have been jumping the gun a bit too early, lasses!

Test (x2, yes I have no self-restraint) said 'not pregnant'. Ho hum, I am still a day or two off AF so am trying to be both optimistic and pragmatic at the same time.

Will still be off to the shops to buy more sticks Confused TTC women be craaaazy sometimes! •slaps self on forehead•

So, morning all! Glad for new-cycle-starters, fx'ing this is your month xxx

PrtyPsn · 15/07/2015 11:36

Hey all , on holiday at the minute so just been catching up on what's been going on! Keeping fx Em that you get another BFP ! My friend who is now 3 months got a faint line with 1st test . AF due in 7 days so got a while for me yet and really not hopeful this cycle as first one of tracking O and think I missed it! My boobs have been really sore and swollen for the last couple of weeks though - even the OH has noticed!

PrtyPsn · 15/07/2015 19:40

Hi stripes nice to see you checking in :) never lose faith til AF shows!! There's always hope and you never know!!
I was hoping to start with my OPK tonight but other half has come home sick so I can't get access to the bathroom - even if I could he's in no mood/state to DTD!! Think I'm CD8 (could be nine) but think (based on my last 28 days cycle and not the apps combined effort) I should O around CD15 so maybe a bit earlier to start checking yet!

em big hugs and keeping fx!

godmother I am totally with you on AF. I’m sort of conflicted as previously I was just desperately hoping I would get AF as I never ever expected to have a natural period after coming off the pill (last time I came off I had one nine month anovulatory cycle), and was desperately hoping I would, as that would hopefully mean I’d laid an egg. Obviously since I got the +ve OPK and temp rise, and somehow miraculously ov-ed, I’ve been half hoping it wouldn’t turn up as maybe I’d get a BFP! Obv I know that won’t be the case, and certainly don’t feel in any way remotely pregnant, and so I DO want AF to come as confirmation that I did indeed ovulate, and so I can get on and get my Day 3 bloods done, and find out if there’s anything more going on that would mean we’d have to rush to IVF instead of just going with the gentler option of Clomid. 11 dpo and just want AF to turn up!

I also know the comedy after sex bum thing. My DH unceremoniously (but very sweetly) picked up my ankles and swivelled me round to face the wall, popping a pillow under my bum and gave me my Kindle so I could lie there with my legs up the wall. Both deeply unsexy and kind of sweet as well Smile

(my consultant said it doesn't make a jot of difference, as the swimmers get up there straight away - and the, er, blow-back is just seminal fluid. But as DH observed, it surely can't hurt!)

bananafish81 · 15/07/2015 21:41

BTW, consultant said if AF didn't turn up, and I had 'tender breasts or nausea' to do a test. Sore boobs seems to be THE universal symptom - of both AF and a BFP - but I've never had them in my life. Probably cos they're so teeny, haha. DH said he's been told by female friends 'you'll know'...I don't feel ever feel anything in the tit area, so I'm guessing if I ever DO feel anything at all, I'll notice...?!

pammy410 · 15/07/2015 21:54

Evening ladies!

Well tonight we decided not to wait till Saturday and to POAS and see what the outcome would be.... I can't believe I'm saying this as it's still not sank in but it was a BFP!!!
I'm still in shock and so is OH.
Done 3 test just to make sure.
I've had no symptoms what so ever apart from the cold.

PrtyPsn · 15/07/2015 22:02

Wooooooo hoooooo!!!!! Congrats pammy so pleased for you!!! What fab news - I would say you did have symptoms, emotions? Hormones?

OP posts:
PrtyPsn · 15/07/2015 22:07

Hahaha good old sore boobies, eh bananafish?! It means nothing to me either and mine are big enough to snap an underwire at least once a month Blush

OP posts:
pammy410 · 15/07/2015 22:12

Thank u.
Yeah, ur right prty. I was pretty emotional yesterday and over the weekend and like u said before, the cold could have been brought on by it.

bananafish81 · 15/07/2015 22:15

Woohoo pammy - huge congrats!

PrtyPsn · 15/07/2015 22:16

Exactly pammy not that any of your symptoms or lack of matter - the BFP overrides all of that!! I'm so eased for you, my lovely! I said I felt more BFPs were on the way!

OP posts:
AlwaystheGodmother · 15/07/2015 22:49

Wahoo for pammy - great news and what happy aunties we are! Keep us up to date with your ventures you lucky yummy mummy you.... Eek! Smile
After a lot of comments made before that so many of you ladies related to, i can honestly there isn't the same jealousy or envy when you hear the BFPs on here on the threads... just sheer relief & joy on behalf of others. We hear the back stories and the cray cray and the agony and pain and insider views and it's warming my cockles.

Banana you sound like you have been through the mill, my love, but loving the tips, consultant's views & the adventures with ALL our DHs are making me chuckle.

And Prty - snapping underwires all the time?!?! You're just coming on here and showing off now darl!!! Grin xx

Look forward to a time when everyone on here can 'just know' when their BFP has arrived.
