TTC - anxious over early pregnancy possible symptoms?

PrtyPsn · 27/06/2015 07:53

Hi,
First time post so please be kind :)
Been TTC for 4 months now (though month 1 we missed my fertile window)
I'm around 5ish days from AF being due but wondering if I could be pregnant for a few reasons: I e been really struggling to sleep the past few nights and when I manage to I have really vivid dreams (the kind when you aren't sure if they have actually happened when you wake up) I've been peeing almost double what I normally would and every now and then I get a weird feeling in my stomach, in a similar place to where I have period pains but it's not pain, it's more like when you over extend a muscle, just a twinge then it's gone.
Was wondering if anyone had similar symptoms? Sorry to pour all this in here (you've probably heard it a million times before) but nobody knows we are TTC so I'm kinda on my own with this!
Thanks

Don't apologise PrtyPsn - I wanted an honest opinion! Not sure about AF, I came off the pill mid cycle on 8th August. I'm either 11, 8 or 5 days past conception (wasn't tracking ovulation) - so anything is a fluke really.

I've since had really stretching CM with a tiny bit of blood in it - who knows what is going on Hmm

PrtyPsn · 21/08/2015 14:52

It could well be that your are pg and it's just a little early for it to show properly yet, even 11dpo is still early to get a BFP, don't lose hope just yet :)

I meant stretchy CM obviously Grin - seems to have stopped now, but the stretching feeling around my back and pubic bone is rife today! Just want to go home and nap Envy

To be honest, even if I was, it would be a total fluke - I was diagnosed with PCOS again about 6 weeks ago, which was why they suggested the pill in the first place Grin - I only took it for 4 weeks in total, but still could be withdrawal symptoms.

How are you doing today m'dear? Flowers

PrtyPsn · 21/08/2015 15:22

Yeah, could well be withdrawal but stranger things have happened at sea! (is that a 'generic Yorkshire' saying??)
I'm not too bad, no increase in CM yet but think it's only day 2 of fertile window so to be expected I guess! plenty of DTD this weekend for me ;)

Actually, strike that - massive argument with OH, right now he'll be lucky if he gets to sleep in my bed, never mind anything else Angry

You alright? What's occurring? Anything we can lend our listening ears to? Flowers

PrtyPsn · 21/08/2015 15:55

I'm just being massive moody cow. HE has just selfishly filled up our entire bank hol weekend with stuff he wants to do without asking me so now I'm not even gonna see him and cos of the amount of stuff he's packed in it means there's gonna be plenty of cleaning up to do so who's that down too.... grr, I'm so cross I could spit...

Prty I'm also having one of those days! I would suggest a communal vat of wine, but... Grin

missybct · 21/08/2015 16:24

Oh you've got one of those too - the 'well meaning but ultimately a bit selfish' OH who thinks for you huh Grin - My one is a beauty for that. He sent me a message earlier saying "Surprise for tea!" (he's got a day off with DSS) which basically equates to "I'm making what I want for tea!" Grin

Oh hell, I want a glass of wine for sure Wine

Stripes1983 · 21/08/2015 17:17

Hi all - well still no sign of AF and all symptoms of anything ( even when I try to imagine some!) aren't there , I normally have really heavy boobs ( same as your describing godmother) but this time nothing ! Don't think I'll do a HPT until at least Sunday / mon though as convinced it will be a BFN:( neetie - fx for you & Godmother sorry about BFN - so annoying!!

Stripes1983 · 21/08/2015 17:19

And Prty sorry about your row, men - can't live with them , can't make a baby without ! Hopefully you make up .. Then you can make up WinkWink and missy sorry about the results - I can't see pics on app but it's not over yet - fx xx

PrtyPsn · 21/08/2015 17:35

He's normally pretty good, first time he's done anything like this, we always discuss everything jointly, think a few things have cropped up and he's not realised the implication of them all happening at once until its too late... idiot.
He had brought me home alcohol free beer and wine and chocolates too cos he bloody well knows!!
Chin up stripes maybe the lack of symptoms is a symptom...

Stripes1983 · 21/08/2015 17:47

Aww bless him ! Smile And thanks Prty , I'm sure AF is just lurking around the corner giggling to herself that she has made me doubt her arrival ! Have a lovely Friday evening ladies - enjoy your wine - alcoholic or not :) x

missybct · 21/08/2015 17:59

You're right, it's not over yet - it seems very odd to get 3 evaps though, and I'm starting to wonder whether the batch is defective! I've already POAS twice today, think I should probably give it a rest for today Blush

Agree with PrtyPsn - maybe absence of symptoms is one in itself! I know when I was pg before losing a month later, I had absolutely no idea until about week 4-5 when AF didn't come and I thought, hmmm! So who knows. I read that the second pregnancy is more noticable because you recognise your body more from being pregnant, or something. It's such a head game sometimes Sad

Seeing as we weren't actively trying I'm surprised at how disappointed I am with not knowing Hmm

I'm also going to do one Sunday, unless I cave in tomorrow. If earlier bloody CM was IB, then I won't show any signs of HCG until Sunday/Monday anyway. I knew today I'd either be 11, 8 or 5 DPO, so I suppose if it was IB I conceived either last Thurs or Sunday Shock

Haven't had any more CM since around 1pm, and only happened twice.

PrtyPsn - I'm glad OH has realised the implication - I wish mine would sometimes Wink Enjoy those goodies!

LittleAindy · 21/08/2015 23:27

Hello ladies, wonder if I can join? Talking on here is the only thing that keeps me sane in the 2WW.

So my cycles can be a little erratic, but based on the last few, I average at 4.5 - 5 weeks. Used up my last test on Tues. Yesterday would have been 5 weeks since last AF, but I'm fed up of wasting money on tests, so I can't even test now until my Amazon cheapies arrive next week!! Shock Shock

I have had a 7.5 week cycle earlier this year, so I would just write it off as another odd long cycle, but these niggling symptoms just won't let me:

Spotting at 5dpo, followed by nausea and fatigue for a week. Daily random, sporadic, mild cramping ever since (mostly in tops of thighs, but have felt it elsewhere), tea/coffee tastes like crap, massive appetite but can't eat much then feel sick after eating, thrush for the 1st time in over 10 years, and the latest one (which I didn't even KNOW was a symptom until today's Googling sesh) my labia has turned from pink to brown....anyone heard of that one before?? I only noticed b/c I had to insert the Canestan tablet by hand (not allowed applicator if possibly Pg), so thought I'd use a mirror to help!! Blush Hmm

pomBearPooPouffe · 22/08/2015 05:35

PrtyPsn at least he knows, and knows how to improve the situation a bit! Flowers Smile

LittleAindy - that really sounds quite hopeful, but having read the thread above you'll probably also know that hope springs eternal in symptom-spotters Smile

s for me... implantation bleed? or AF arriving for 5 minutes and then deciding today's not the day? Who knows... now it's a lovely day and the flu is receding I really should be mowing the lawn rather than reading textbooks and googling...

PrtyPsn · 22/08/2015 09:43

Hi aindy welcome to the thread :)
A vast array of symptoms there, sounds like you're having a tricky TWW, my lovely.
I've never heard of the labia thing but I'm sure one of the gang must have...

Hi everyone, I've been reading this thread for a while and have decided to join as I too become obsessed but don't like to share my bizarre imaginations in RL as no one really knows we're TTC.
Anyway, I'm 40 quite soon but have 2dc already, 9 and 10. I've realised my big family dream may be achievable but only if I go for it sooner rather than later! I hope having dc doesn't put me out of the thread, I assure you I'm clueless about what's real and what's not! Although i may reflect on when I have been pg.

I've had a mirena coil in for years and had to buy tests to curb symptom spotting with it in as it completely stopped my periods so I'd often spend weeks imagining a surprise pregnancy. So thank you prty for starting the thread!

I had the coil out 6 weeks ago so the imaginations could maybe become reality! I'm not doing opk etc as I tried them before when we tried for 3 cycles 3 years ago and DH got cold feet and it took all the fun out of dtd, especially for DH bless him. But I did think I spotted ov signs through cp and cm last month and af came the day after I'd predicted. Just finished af now and symptom spotting already till I remember it's completely impossible!!

I've been hoping for you all and really impressed by the not drinking etc. It's making me think I should be a bit better!

Fingers crossed for everyone!

PrtyPsn · 22/08/2015 11:37

crepe I'm so pleased you've decided to post and join in :)
Of course having DC doesn't mean you are not welcome! We are all in the same boat in this thread with TTC regardless of experience.
I'm the same, not quite ovulated yet but still got an eye on those symptoms!! Hopefully you will find some sanctuary here, only 1 person in RL knows we r TTC and it's a big secret to keep!!
Despite my excess CM my OPK (which I swore I would never do again!!) was negative last night

OP posts:
Stripes1983 · 22/08/2015 17:45

Afternoon all - welcome crepe and aindy ! Sounds like you have loads of symptoms so fx although must be frustrating with your long cycles to know what's going on ! Still no AF so now I have the to test or not to test!! Been putting off as normally I test get a BFN and then AF appears that day ! Just checked and have some cheapie HPTs left so now I know I do I'm getting itchy feet !

0hCrepe · 22/08/2015 17:46

It's so mysterious isn't it? Would be a lot easier if we had obvious seasons like animals!! I seem to have got my ov time right last month because of when af came but now I'm wondering, is there any way of knowing if you have definitely ovulated? Can you have the signs without it happening? Last month my imaginary pregnancy symptoms all happened around ovulation (bizarre). I had in particular what I think of as museum head- kind of fuzzy. I also felt pretty sick and tired. Looking back it was probably withdrawal stuff from coil removal. Quite interested to see what happens this month!

Stripes1983 · 22/08/2015 17:56

I haven't been able to pinpoint when it happens even when using Ov tests so can't advise much I'm afraid crepe - others might be able to share some wisdom though :) x

MummyBex1985 · 22/08/2015 19:50

Hi Crepe I'm another one struggling with the OV symptoms! No idea if I am OVing or not after long term hormonal BC (10 years).

I think EWCM is the biggest indicator but some women also get twinges/ovary pain.

If your cycle is regular then an app like Ovia should help you pinpoint what should be your fertile days.

MummyBex1985 · 22/08/2015 19:51

Oh and my first month of coming off BC was a nightmare, I had every symptom going in terms of a phantom PG but I'm pretty sure no OV that month.

letish123 · 22/08/2015 19:51

Hey guys I'm new to this but need some help ive been having symptoms of pregnancy for a week now been sick the past 4 mornings been tired n sore boobs but today came on what seems to be my period but 5 days early which is unusual could this be implantation xx
