TTC - anxious over early pregnancy possible symptoms?

PrtyPsn · 27/06/2015 07:53

Hi,
First time post so please be kind :)
Been TTC for 4 months now (though month 1 we missed my fertile window)
I'm around 5ish days from AF being due but wondering if I could be pregnant for a few reasons: I e been really struggling to sleep the past few nights and when I manage to I have really vivid dreams (the kind when you aren't sure if they have actually happened when you wake up) I've been peeing almost double what I normally would and every now and then I get a weird feeling in my stomach, in a similar place to where I have period pains but it's not pain, it's more like when you over extend a muscle, just a twinge then it's gone.
Was wondering if anyone had similar symptoms? Sorry to pour all this in here (you've probably heard it a million times before) but nobody knows we are TTC so I'm kinda on my own with this!
Thanks

Evening all!

Letish, what is the blood like? My suspected IB was light pink for the 1st day, only when wiping, then brown with a bit of red - not really enough to fill a pad, then brown but eased off on the third day and only when wiping on the fourth. But can't confirm if it was IB until BFP, I'm afraid!

Crepe, Bex, Stripes - it was my OH who said I know when you're ovulating, because you're far more up for it!! Lol! That and I get about 4 days of EWCM in abundance, and a short sharp twinge on alternating sides each month.

If BFN this month, then I'm going to start using OPK to see if it ties in with my 'bodily changes' Grin Grin

PrtyPsn · 22/08/2015 20:18

Hi letish an implantation bleed is no really much lighter than period - just spitting that wouldn't require a pad. Might be worth seeing how it is tomorrow and if it doesn't turn into a full AF then maybe test?

Hiya it just seems to be like my normal period just lighter and no cramps like I usually do I'm hoping it is implantation tho so fingers crossed xx

Stripes1983 · 22/08/2015 20:33

Well I caved in and POAS and BFN as I kind of expected Sad at least I know now !

PrtyPsn · 22/08/2015 20:42

Best I can suggest is keep an eye on the flow letish
Huge hugs stripes you're not out yet, sugar.
Another negative OPK today... not even sure why I'm doing them really, never has a positive, just bloody depressing!

letish123 · 22/08/2015 21:02

Okay thank you hopefully I can come with some good news in a few days xx

LittleAindy · 22/08/2015 22:11

Stripes, AF hasn't arrived so don't give up hope yet!!

Unfortunately the witch has reared her ugly head for me tonight. I took a pessary for thrush last night, so part of me is now freaking out that it's caused the bleeding, but AF was due last Monday and with my irregular cycles I need to just be realistic and accept that the timing is just coincidental Sad

PrtyPsn · 22/08/2015 22:49

Don't beat yourself up aindy it was probably just a frustrating late AF for no reason but to annoy you - happens to me all the time it seems Hmm
Hopefully you can treat the thrush easier now she's here then hop on for the next cycle :)

Thanks Prty. Can't tell you how grateful I am for this place. So comforting to openly chat to others who can empathise and fully understand the crazy TTC hysteria!

Wine time it is, alongside some online shopping for OPKs! Wine

Ellamorella · 22/08/2015 23:25

Grrr! Getting first sign of AF today! Have had the brown stuff on the tissue which is a sure sign. It couldn't be IB 3 days before AF is due could it? It's so disappointing as I just felt like I really could be this month. I've had an elevated temp the last 5 days, which is supposed to be a sign, and noticed my nipples had little bumps on (more than normal). And have been super tired, with waves of nausea! I'm just cross with myself and my body for psychosomatically giving me all these symptoms!! And to top it all off, my DH is going to Canada for 8 days next month that coincide with my fertile window!! Unless Ovia is getting it wrong!! Going to track really properly anyway, and hope that I least get a proper sense of when I'm ovulating!
Ok, sorry, rant over!

Ellamorella · 22/08/2015 23:29

BTW - Crepe, we're in a very similar boat! I have an 8yo, and have had a mirena coil for years! I had to take it out as I started to get weird phantom pregnancy signs! But crazily so. My boobs got HUGE, really bloated, nausea! My hormones were obviously going a bit wild. I had it out May 2014.

I hope you're all well, and hi to both newcomers LittleA and Crepe!

LittleAindy · 22/08/2015 23:54

Hi Ella, sorry to hear that Thanks Fx crossed that it could be IB for you. Especially as it's early. You never know...

And if not, well I'll buddy up with you for September's 2WW!!

PrtyPsn · 23/08/2015 08:03

aindy that's what we are here for :) always glad to be able to help
ella that's crap news, my lovely. It could be your app getting it wrong s mine changes every bloody month depending when AF decides to show up!! Makes sense to track even if just this month with DH being away.

Morning, sorry not posting much as parents staying..
This morning odd symptoms boobs and thighs looking like the map of the underground, I get fairly prominent veins around ovulation anyway but this is mega prominent. If it has worked this week then should be implanting any time now.

Stripes1983 · 23/08/2015 09:28

Sorry to hear that Ella , it's so disappointing when your getting symptoms that are different then the norm! The 2nd cycle of "casually" trying I had spotting a week early , felt sick , headaches , everything I normally don't have and was convinced I must be - obvs I wasn't but it's so annoying!
Fx neetie - sounds promising !

missybct · 23/08/2015 11:50

Just dropping by quickly - DP is off on business for four days so trying to get him sorted - I tested this morning and yesterday morning and BFN.

I'm still only 10 days past possible conception date (as I don't know if I ovulated on that date) and only 2 days since possibly IB, so I know it's not "over" as such - but becoming less positive as time goes on. Possibly as I was testing far far too early, who knows.

Symptoms have lessened too - although weirdly I'm having high spikes on OPK - they're not positive as such, but in all the testing I've ever done for these I've never had such strong lines. My nipples still feel sore and I'm very sensitive down below - nausea is still about, but the pain has dropped a lot since possible IB and backache has ceased. Could be office chair Grin. I've got some amazingly gross white thick discharge that looks like thrush but without the itching, so I'm totally confused. If I'm not pregnant that's fine, but if this is going to be a monthly crash course in hormonal fuckery I'm going to be pretty pissed off Wink

Ellamorella · 23/08/2015 13:20

Thanks Stripes Prty and Aindy

Well still just got very very light signs of AF. Nothing on Panty liner, but v slight pink tinge when I wipe. But did a PT about an hour ago (not FMU) and got a BFN so I really should just let go of all hope. Is hard not to...
Missy, if you're having high spikes on OPK, could you be ovulating?? Might be worth dBD in case??
Stripes, so sorry about BFP!!

LittleAindy · 23/08/2015 14:08

Ella, still very early if AF not for a couple of days? My BFP for #1 turned up a week late.

Missy - still early days! Smile

Fx for you both Grin

missybct · 23/08/2015 14:36

I could very well be ovulating - I last "period" was 30th July and was after 21 days on the pill. Sadly DP is away for four days now so no chance of BD if I am ovulating Sad

I think I'm getting line eyes anyway - I'm trying to upload recent set of tests to countdowntopregnancy and the ruddy site is down!

IB usually doesn't last too loong - and if it was IB you've got Ella, HCG levels won't be in the system properly. How have your cycles been since the coil was taken out?

neetie1 · 23/08/2015 17:53

Afternoon..nothing new here yet just very very tired...
Added complication to the situation apparently my sis is also trying for a baby, she already has two teenagers from first marriage. Just married again recently (together since last June, engaged at Chrimbo, he's ten years younger ....) sooo anyway she is also trying thinks she might be pregs, diff symptoms etc apparently testing today (mum told me lol obs when she wasn't meant to) so I ended up telling her about us trying. Now sis doesn't know I'm trying, she is almost 40 so we are a similar age.
Now we have never been close, but the thought of her falling before me might tip me over the edge lol, plus done the silly thing and looked at stats for pregnancies over 40...not a good idea..ah well fx'd for end of next week.

LittleAindy · 23/08/2015 21:07

This may be just the grumpy period brain talking, but I wondered if it's worth me just not attempting anything next month. Taking a break and sussing out what my AF symptoms really are? Whether I still spot all the same things...

Would it be crazy? Yeah, it is isn't it? Confused I'll probably change my mind by next week, lol! Grin

LittleAindy · 23/08/2015 21:11

Ah Neetie, that sucks Sad You can't help but feel a little envy. My SIL and I TTC #1 deliberately at the same time so our kids would be similar in age. She ended up 4 months behind me and said it used to drive her bonkers! (although she never showed it)

LittleAindy · 23/08/2015 21:14

P.s. for the record, my DS having a cousin the same age really helped with not needing to rush for #2. We live 5 mins apart and they're best friends Smile

PrtyPsn · 23/08/2015 21:21

Evening all
Not much to report here, despite the argument on Fri we did make up and managed to squeeze in DTD a few times over a very busy weekend!
Have read through what I've missed and sorry for those facing a tough time stop in limbo or with AF attacking.
Tomorrow is a new week and we will all still be here to help :)

Evening all! Sorry i've been offline for a bit, trying to just get through until test time without thinking too much about it!

Sorry to all those with bfn's and the dreaded visits from af Sad Fingers crossed for next cycle. Also sorry about the killer ear infection! I have them frequently too and they are hell on earth! Been given Otomize which is a spray that I use on the very onset of an infection and it stops it in its tracks! Having dd nearly 2 years ago I would actually rather give birth than have an ear infection!

Not much to report here, still a bit of a jelly belly and little cramps, mega spotty and boobs a bit sore but all probably af preparing itself! Due on Saturday, going to test then (not buying a test until Friday night so zero temptation!)
