TTC - anxious over early pregnancy possible symptoms?

PrtyPsn · 27/06/2015 07:53

Hi,
First time post so please be kind :)
Been TTC for 4 months now (though month 1 we missed my fertile window)
I'm around 5ish days from AF being due but wondering if I could be pregnant for a few reasons: I e been really struggling to sleep the past few nights and when I manage to I have really vivid dreams (the kind when you aren't sure if they have actually happened when you wake up) I've been peeing almost double what I normally would and every now and then I get a weird feeling in my stomach, in a similar place to where I have period pains but it's not pain, it's more like when you over extend a muscle, just a twinge then it's gone.
Was wondering if anyone had similar symptoms? Sorry to pour all this in here (you've probably heard it a million times before) but nobody knows we are TTC so I'm kinda on my own with this!
Thanks

Morning ladies...very odd day 5 AAF and still getting flashing smiley face, last month got permanent smiley on day 5. Body feels different though, slight bloatedness, twinges etc mega sense of smell

pinky17 · 14/08/2015 15:58

Well this week is ovulation week (apparently!) after 2 attempts at DTD I'm already becoming a speculative idiot - Gaaaaah! Any others on a similar cycle? Apparently tomorrow is the best day this month for me.... xxx

Stripes1983 · 14/08/2015 17:52

No sorry pinky- looks like im synced up with sylvie though - AF due on Tuesday as well , although I'm always about 3-5 days after due date, didn't get a positive ov test this cycle though so fully expecting AF Hmm

PrtyPsn · 14/08/2015 18:19

Sorry pinky CD8 for me today, was synced with neetie but AF was late for me!
Currently celebrating my def pg week - booked a spa day, scoffing Parma ham, getting a new tattoo... everything except booze!!

Lol don't you just love it... am on day 13 of cycle now and should ov now but no solid smiley face. Only good thing is if it's not this month am away for a few nights over bank holiday without hubby and should be on af so no missing out on dtd ;)

pinky17 · 14/08/2015 21:31

I guess it's nice that we can all test athe different times and look forward to each others results! I've never used an ov kit, just gone with the "time it right and hope for the best method!" Tomorrow is apparently d-day according to my tracker so you never know! Am going to keep going until about Wednesday next week (if I can!) as af was so late last month. I like your style prty, I too am off the booze, just inhaled a pizza now eyeing up a packet of oreos! I'm eating for 4 already! Xxx

Hello, mind if I join in? Another symptom-spotting loon here.

Am 39, TTC #1, on first cycle after being on the pill for most of the last 13 years. DTD every couple of days like rabbits. Currently feeling horrendously nauseous and tired, sore boobs, ready to punch anyone being slightly wittery, etc. But I have been a bit feeling like this for a week so it might be hormones, and probably only ovulated on Thursday. Feeling much more strongly nauseous today, which is a bit annoying as I'm singing in a concert tonight and have to get through 1.5 hours standing up without puking on the people in front of me.

Anyway, it's far too early to tell and i really should stop reading the OHOG because it really probably isn't relevant yet!

AlwaystheGodmother · 15/08/2015 07:34

Hello Pombear - welcome to the crazy world of TTC and Prtys ace thread gang. I am 38 & TTC #1 so I know plenty of what you are going through. Even when you know it's far too early, you become so hyper aware of your own body you just feel every little twinge and ache and tiredness and channel all your thoughts into it being The Signs! Thus most likely perpetuating the cycle of symptom spotting as you wear yourself out with it. Are you tracking? It deffo helps and most folk on here are. Some of us have crazier bodies than others as you will have seen but any GP worth their salt will always expect you to have tracked to assist with any investigations down the line - FX this will NOT be what you need however!

I am off for a facial today - not the kind my DH keeps perving about.. no wonder we ain't making babies yet.... what is everyone else up to? I was due yesterday tho given was 12 days 'late' last month, no frickin idea whats going on with my uterus. Cramping & hurting like mad, had the shits (TMI) and a rotten headache last few days and could sleep on a washing line. Figure a pamper will keep me busy, help me sleep better - oh hai insomnia! - and make me look at least 38. Given I feel 58. Happy Saturday all! How are stripes , annie, banana, bex, Prty & all you other lovelies doing? X

AlwaystheGodmother · 15/08/2015 08:11

Shortly after this I got myself an early morning BFN. What a f**kstick. I don't expect to feel this crap for no reason. Pah.

PrtyPsn · 15/08/2015 08:30

(strolls into the thread like a gangbanging thug) a'ight crew?
This is what you meant by Prty's ace gang, right godmother? Pahahahaha!!
Also you know we don't have such a thing as TMI so behave yourself!!
Hope you enjoy the facial... thinking hubby needs a few more biology lessons for baby making!!
BFN sucks majorly but it is early don't forget! You're not out until the bitch shows up!
Hi pombear nice user name but I love buying those crunchy little heads off (easy godmother!) so I'm gonna be permanently hungry now (more than usual I mean!)
We do be one so hyper aware of our bodies and everything is a symptom - I was crying at the Glee finale and was like 'hormones, pg!' and I haven't even ovulated yet!!
Be assured we are all here to listen, laugh, cry, symptom spot and hopefully make you feel better :)
Now, all you ladies who haven't had your fang symbol inked yet, form an orderly queue (fires up the tattoo gun)

Hi everyone, I'm very new to this but could really do with some advice as I'm feeling very unsettled at the min! I came off the pill 3minths ago and still haven't had a period. I'm 34 and my husband and I are trying for a baby however as I haven't had a period it's difficult to know whether or when I might be ovulating. I've taken a pregnancy test this week and its negative, but my stomach the past few days is very swollen and despite a healthy diet I seem to be putting on weight . I've no other typical signs, eg sickness/sore breasts etc. please could anyone offer any advice or has anyone had a similar experience coming off he pill. There's no sign of my period and I'm worried I may have a problem ? Big thanks in advance xx

PrtyPsn · 15/08/2015 09:06

Hi lisa it can take several months for your cycle to resettle, took me close to a year with about 8 months of no periods at all (despite all the symptoms of AF, just no bleeding)
Try to relax and keep DTD until periods return and you can start to track, that being says you could conceive without having a period so might be an idea to test every month just in case? Id recommend

Bloody fat fingers posted early! I'm hanging for the day when we can edit posts!!
I'd recommend stocking up on cheap tests from the Internet :)

Stripes1983 · 15/08/2015 09:17

Welcome Lisa and pombear ! Lisa- I don't have any experience of this personally so somebody else on here may be able to offer more advise , my friend ( who is now almost 20wks pg) didn't have periods when she first came off the pill and her gp prescribed some tablets to "kick start" her AF which it did , think she had waited a while though before that stage x
Godmother sorry about your BFN - jealous of you getting a facial tho! AF due Tuesday , and fully expecting it as don't think I ovulated - getting symptoms but typical of AF - although it doesn't help when I log being emotional on ovia & it pops up with " feeling emotional - it could be a baby inside you you never know" ! I read it like someone had told me I was pg!!

AlwaystheGodmother · 15/08/2015 09:17

Deffo had the same as Prty - no actual AF but all the symptoms and for me, was about 8-9 months before I became regular. (Until I began trying - tho that's another story). Doc advised me to test every 3 wks or so to be on safe side & would certainly track your symptoms too Lisa

AlwaystheGodmother · 15/08/2015 09:24

Oh stripes that's a mean trick to play from Ovia! Looks like we are sort of in sync....? Am hanging on for an AF or a more positive outcome. Poor husband doesn't know what to do for best. I cried in the kitchen last night because I couldn't reach a tin down and was so tired while making tea. This TTC caper is NOT the festival of foof fun I favoured!!

PrtyPsn · 15/08/2015 09:33

Festival of foof fun hahahaha!! I'm starting to worry I'm gonna get sick of DTD before too long!
Bloody Ovia, that's just cruel!!

OP posts:
MummyBex1985 · 15/08/2015 10:44

My Ovia has just changed my fertile window to a massively inconvenient time. Damn irregular AF.

Would be so nice to get into a 28 day cycle - right now I don't even know when to test for ovulation! My plan for this month is pregnancy vitamins and OPKs EVERY DAY so at least I can get a vague handle on things!

Might even make OH take his vitamins too - not sure that will go down well. I also want to place him on a bath ban - or is that a bit weird?!

Annie2311 · 15/08/2015 11:23

Hey all, I heard there was a Festival of Foof Fun round here somewhere?! Hello new friends, welcome to the roller coaster. Sorry to hear about the BFN godmother- what a bastard. But you know the show's not over til the red lady sings! I am revelling in the last couple of days of AF- the one precious bit of the month where I'm not obsessing over DTD enough/the right way or symptom spotting. Off on holiday end of next in time for OV (allegedly). No pressure DH! xx

PrtyPsn · 15/08/2015 11:36

Advanced warning, guys - when this thread expires (at 1000 posts I believe) the name of the new thread will be:
Prty's Gang and the Festival of Foof Fun
(assuming we haven't all had our BFPS by the !)

Sounds good to me Prty SmileGrin

bex - have you considered acupuncture or reflexology for helping regulate your cycle? Am trying the reflexology myself, it's early days but she is hopeful it can assist. Two women I know swear blind acupuncture worked for their fertility - plus I know others including grown plain speaking northern blokes who swear it cured their dodgy backs etc - I am just a wuss but it's next on my list!

Ooh happy hols Annie.
Glad the FoFF is going to continue!!

pinky17 · 15/08/2015 13:13

So i'm sat stuffing a packet of oreos feeling a bit bored and sorry for myself! My dtd marathon is becoming extended scientific and I can already tell that i'll be gutted if I get a bfn at the end of it! You ladies who have been trying a lot longer than me, how do you keep up the enthusiasm of dedicating a month to dtd to then get a negative then start again next month!? It's on my mind all day!

Ahhh godmother, sorry about the bfn. You always think the impulsive ones will be the ones that surprise you! Stupidly I almost thought if I don't expect anything and don't think about it too much maybe it'll be my bfp! Duuuuh!

Welcome new ladies, best thread ever to offload to! Xxx

pinky17 · 15/08/2015 13:13

Extended!!!!!? I mean extremely! Stupid phone! Xxx

neetie1 · 15/08/2015 13:58
