TTC - anxious over early pregnancy possible symptoms?

PrtyPsn · 27/06/2015 07:53

Hi,
First time post so please be kind :)
Been TTC for 4 months now (though month 1 we missed my fertile window)
I'm around 5ish days from AF being due but wondering if I could be pregnant for a few reasons: I e been really struggling to sleep the past few nights and when I manage to I have really vivid dreams (the kind when you aren't sure if they have actually happened when you wake up) I've been peeing almost double what I normally would and every now and then I get a weird feeling in my stomach, in a similar place to where I have period pains but it's not pain, it's more like when you over extend a muscle, just a twinge then it's gone.
Was wondering if anyone had similar symptoms? Sorry to pour all this in here (you've probably heard it a million times before) but nobody knows we are TTC so I'm kinda on my own with this!
Thanks

The mood I have been in since today's sucker punch I am impressed you can even be thrilled, it's a generous frame of mind Prty! I am plain ole jealous & even worse than that, am crushed by the insensitivity. Worse than that, she went on to tell me all the things I should be doing/using to make it happen even tho I specifically told her I am v stressed out with life in general at the mo & using sticks/monitors/temping isn't for me. (Not yet anyway. Feeling crazy enough already but you guys can obvs watch this space for my descent onto THAT unique brand of Godmother Madness).

Thanks everyone for your support. How have your days been? X

AlwaystheGodmother · 30/07/2015 17:38

I sound awful. I AM thrilled. I am just also confused as to what a lottery this whole roller coaster is..... and why some folks seem to have it easy. Rant over.

PrtyPsn · 30/07/2015 17:42

Oh no she di'ant?? Yeah, I'm whipping my hair back and forth while snapping my fingers!
Not holding back - what an absolute bitch!! How dare she start spouting advice when she probably got pregnant from swallowing from one night!! With friends like that who needs enemies, huh?
OH looked like he was on the verge of saying 'it'll happen when it happens' so I told him if he said it then it would never happen cos I'd castrate him!
Huge hugs godmother we are all here cheering your corner and living it all with you xx

Hugs back atcha Prty & thank you! Heard a lot of twin tales of late.... perhaps it's a Yorkshire thing?! x

PrtyPsn · 30/07/2015 17:51

Obviously something in the water... in saying that I drink so much of that I should be spitting out babies by the dozen!!
Ive never wanted to test early before, only ever when AF is late but this month I'm itching to get peeing!!!

Annie2311 · 30/07/2015 18:57

Oh prty! News of twins really takes the piss huh? I think if we're allowed to rant anywhere about the fact that everyone else seems to be getting pg it's on here! Rant away ladies!

When are you due again prty? I'm TERRIBLE for testing early - I can always find some ridiculous justification (DH is away tomorrow/I just have a feeling about Tuesday wees/what if the pg test is out of date by tomorrow blah blah blah) It's impossible not to want to when you have symptoms. Stay strong my love! We're here to distract you/listen to the symptoms/cheer you on. xx

PrtyPsn · 30/07/2015 19:03

Hahahaha annie some quality excuses there!! I'm due AF on Sunday which I really hope doesn't happen as I've got plans all day that aren't well suited to AF elbowing her way in!
Getting the odd minor twingy type AF cramps today and in a vile mood but that could be for any number of reasons as had a day of crap news!
Also I've been eating like an absolute pig, had constant heartburn and nausea not to mention constant seeing (not on sticks!!) and extra windy Blush

Will prob hold out until Monday to be honest have been so convinced so many times that the later I leave it the better it will be I think. Dull cramping today so not sure if that's af getting ready or not.

PrtyPsn · 31/07/2015 08:18

I always wait til I'm late but I'm climbing the walls this month!! Might see how I feel on Sunday...

Lol let me know how you get on. Luckily have lots of distractions this weekend, have an agility comp with my youngest dog and my eldest dog has just had surgery for a bad elbow joint so he's on mega rest. Def have hands full at the moment.

AlwaystheGodmother · 31/07/2015 09:24

Morning ladies, I have the perfect distraction from all things AF for you.... I think I have cystitis- help! Typical... am due to ovulate this weekend & have low grade pain, burning when I pee & needing to pee a LOT. Sorry, think TMI went out of the window a while ago....
Am I safe to take trimethoprim (which I have stockpiled) even tho we are trying?! Or do i just have to suffer & avoid sex - could the timing be any worse?! Guess there is teeny chance I could be pg so is this a huge mistake?!
Waiting for NHS Direct to call me back but figured with the amount of BD you lot do someone must've had this before.....?!

Annie2311 · 31/07/2015 09:31

Morning Godmother! Welcome to my world. What a flipping pain hey? I take Phenazopyridine which apparently shouldn't effect trying. Not sure about Trimethoprim, hope NHS get back to you promptly. I've had cystitis on and off for years - my best suggestions are plenty of water (I think cranberry juice is overrated), baggy trousers, and keeping busy so you don't think about it. If it's only mild it may blear up by itself in 24 hours.

PrtyPsn · 31/07/2015 09:45

Oh no, poor you godmother I've never taken medication for cystitis - just always stick with plenty of water to flush yourself out. I also wouldn't let it put me off DTD! I once had cystitis when I worked in a place with practically an outdoor toilet Confused it was over winter too and the ventilation system had frozen up and iced over! I still had to pee in there about 8 times a bloody shift haha! Power through!!

AlwaystheGodmother · 31/07/2015 09:47

Oh Annie you're a gem. Is it available over the counter do you know? x
I just had a big fat blub and am sure DH thinks I am quite mad. Didnt help when he started off reeling a list of things we can do if we remain childfree..... I know he is right but it's so hard to stay positive when everyone else is making it happen so easily. Keeping everything crossed for you all this month & toasting life & pinky - Wine may as well join you on the virtual vino as won't be having any (wine or sex!) here this wkend now either!

Annie2311 · 31/07/2015 09:56

I first discovered it in America but you can get it on Amazon! www.amazon.co.uk/AZO-Standard-UTI-Treatment-Count/dp/B001JK3NTA It makes your wee a really extraordinary colour. I usually find if I take a couple of tablets at the first sign of cystitis it keeps it at bay. For more serious cases I'd go to the Doc and get antibiotics but this is a good quick fix.

I totally get the DH trying to stay upbeat thing. Mine is very sweet but you just want them to hug you and say, 'it's shit isn't it? Poor us.'

Really excited that we might see some BFPs here after the weekend FX'd ladies!

LifeIsGood14 · 31/07/2015 09:59

Oh no! Poor godmother hope you get some medication to help you soon. Loads of fab advice already given which is good cause I have no experience of cystitis apart from my two Labrador girls having it. Lol I've got a labradoodle staying with me at the moment who I've just discovered does not like my 5 month old lab. Stressed out is an understatement!! Trying to keep calm but I've just sat and blubbed for 10 mins then phoned my mum who came to take my puppy lab out for the Morning. Give me strength! AF being awful to me this month. Roll on 2pm when I'm sat in the hairdressers!

neetie1 · 31/07/2015 10:01

Not sure if I have checked before but am I the eldest mum hopeful? I turned 43 in June.

AlwaystheGodmother · 31/07/2015 10:17

Neetie I am 38... Here's to being what the Daily Mail & Allsop would call geriatric evil selfish career focused women Grin Angry Wine

Thanks all for friendly boosts & advice. Sunny day here, let's hope it lasts all weekend.
