So so sorry barking. We're here when you need us. Xx

barkingtreefrog · 06/08/2015 11:25

I'm with a friend (although I've not told him).

Okay, to those who have got their notes from the nhs to go private, how easy was it, how long did it take, and did your gp have everything from the clinic, or only the basics? At the clinic everything seems to be on paper in one massive file. I'm wondering whether they'd let me sit and take notes/ take photos of it all on Saturday?

SesameSparkle · 06/08/2015 13:20

Hi barking do think about whether you can tell your friend what happened. It gives a reason to be a sad.

It should be straightforward getting your own copy of your notes from the clinic, if you ask for them. They will have a policy on this including timescale and whether there is a charge. When I did it, my clinic turned this round very quickly by request, despite having a policy that said they would take much longer. You will need to sign and return a consent form. If you are transferring to a new clinic you will find it useful to have to hand copies of any test results (so you don’t waste time/money repeating anything or having to chase the clinic/GP for them) and might like to show them copies of any referral letters/or treatment summary letters that your clinic might have produced e.g. to send to your GP. If you get a bfn on Saturday, you could ask your clinic if they might write you a referral letter for the new clinic. You probably don’t need absolutely everything in your notes unless you’re like me and want to pore over them obsessively looking for clues And you might be surprised how little the new clinic will be interested in what happened to you elsewhere. At least that was my experience.

nolly3 · 06/08/2015 15:50

news on the copter: bushy's laid a pink one

clementineclouds · 06/08/2015 17:58

hi nolly...bushy was before my time here with the berries...but lovely news Smile

KL24 · 06/08/2015 19:27

Oh Barking gutted for you Flowers

barkingtreefrog · 06/08/2015 20:20

Thanks sesame, the new clinic have sent quite a detailed form to fill in. I'm going to trawl through all my letters, and the results I got from the gp, and see how much I can fill in. If I'm only left with a few questions - like confirming I've correctly remembered the dose of gonal f for the iui/ivf rounds, I'm sure the nurse will tell me on Saturday. They've always been helpful before and if it's just checking a couple of details I would hope that wouldn't be a problem.

beakybeak · 06/08/2015 22:26

Barking I had to check back in here when I did my forms for Serum! I hope you get your info ASAP. When would you be looking at seeing the new FC? Hope your holding up. Flowers

Sesame when will you start the pill then?

SesameSparkle · 06/08/2015 23:18

happy they can fuck right off.

Beaky I don't know, we have to do the forms first and send them back, then they book us an appointment, so I need to wait for Jamie to get back to do his forms. I might call them and see how quickly we're likely to get in...

sparechange · 07/08/2015 15:02

Bloody instadiffers Angry
I'm getting quite nervous/excited about going back to the clinic on Tuesday. Is this what my life has become? The only thing I currently have to look forward to is an expensive hour with a doctor where I hope he will tell me that it might be worth giving him some more money we don't have so that he can subject me to dildocam and injections before offering up more disappointment..?

TheRainDrops · 07/08/2015 19:26

Hello berries, welcome KL and up yours Murray!

just swinging by briefly, hope everyone's ok and barking that you're getting some half decent distraction.

AF rocked up today on schedule, first time in 40 months I've been excited for it to arrive. baseline scan is next weds. I am being extremely bad and allowing myself a tiny g&t tonight after a nightmare week at work. Please IVF gods, do not smite me for this indiscretion.

barkingtreefrog · 08/08/2015 05:46

Still bfn. No miracle here yet.

SesameSparkle · 08/08/2015 08:05

spare are you with the same Dr? Sorry, I can't remember. I hope the appointment goes well, is there anything specific you're hoping they'll suggest treatment-wise this time?

minx I'm on long protocol too so I believe my baseline scan is the same as the one you just had? Have been down regging for the last 10 days, AF showed up yesterday so all being well I think I start stimms this Thurs. Isn't there an additional drug the brings on a bleed? I can't remember what it's called but might that be an option for you? Three weeks of DR does NOT sound like fun.
I have had terrible headaches continuously since starting, am really hoping they clear up once stimms begin, anyone else have headache issues?

beakybeak · 08/08/2015 22:36

Barking Flowers and a massive hug. I hope you can get into the new clinic quickly and plan your next round.

Spare I seem to feel the same, a mix of excitement and dread at having more treatment. Did you do long or short protocol before? Will you get started fairly quickly do you think?

Rain are you drinking a ton of water? That's what helped me with headaches when down regging. I think I was drinking about 2 ltrs a day.

Minx I think norithiserone (sp?) brings on a bleed, maybe you could take that. I'm in for baseline scan in two weeks, is that when you might be in? I hope you get in this week though. Erm, as for the rue and sage sandwiches, I could vomit at the thought! Any do-able tips though, I'll clearly try them desperate Grin nightmare having ec/et when just starting a new job, would they be ok do you think? Do you remember does our clinic only do ec on Monday and Wednesday? Trying to work out my dates. I think dh is supposed to be at a festival when I'm scheduled in on my plan!

Sesame it feels like an age taking the pill, plus very weird. I have to use my phone alarm too as even before ttc I wasn't on the pill anyway and wouldn't remember.

So many berries coming up for treatment, I hope there's a massive exodus to the copter.

SesameSparkle · 09/08/2015 00:05

beaky, I’m only on day 2 of ‘DR’ and despite the mobile phone alarms going off, I already managed to miss one of my pills today. Well I took my morning pill at 7.pm anyway… When do you start your stims?

barking How did you get on today? And did you manage to get everything you need for those forms?

spare good luck with the appointment on Tuesday. I’m finding it’s really nice to back on the optimism square of the board game at the beginning a new treatment cycle. Hold onto that feeling.

rain hooray for your AF, so very nice of her to turn up on time Smile. Headaches, yes I had this too, it gets much better when you add the hormones back in. Drinking lots of water is meant to help.

minx I’m sorry you’re still waiting for your bleed, I really hope your womble starts to behave.

In my yoga class this morning, I had to put my mat down next to the only pregnant yogi. All I could think was I would probably have been about 5 months right now and wishing she would just piss off to the bump classes. I did have a much better day after that though and spent a nice evening with friends.

In other news, spurred on by all this talk of going chemical free, I’ve been trying to make a few more changes. Over the past week I’ve invested in a posh stainless steel water bottle, glass food storage containers, a new tablecloth, some Aluminium free deodorant, and I’m thinking of investing in a natural yoga mat. I’m hoping this will make my body a bit healthier and less likely to produce mutant eggs and that this is not just excuse to go shopping

Can I ask those berries who’ve read “It Starts with the Egg”, is it worth me ordering a copy of this book? Would the advice still be useful at this late stage in the process?
