Hi All,

Thanks mmmmimx for the link from the other thread Wink found you eventually Smile.

KL24 TTC1 33mths. 33 DH35. NHS testing completed (fingers crossed) due for consultation next week!. only results i know so far is my tubes are fine and DH analysis is 'absolutely normal'. very irregular cycles - 15-41 days have me worried. Not a waft of a BFP EVER!

You all seam to have so much knowledge! I have no idea what to expect next week or what questions I should be asking - I'm so confused and worried that I'll end up waiting even longer if i don't push for the right things or ask the right questions!

any advice on what questions i should go in armed with would be much appreciated Confused

SesameSparkle · 04/08/2015 22:17

Saturday! This natural cycle malarky really comes around quick! I have totally everything crossed for you barking! So have you decided to test at your friend's house then?

barkingtreefrog · 04/08/2015 22:53

sesame I'm thinking and over thinking it, and now I feel sick and I want to cry as I just want dh to be here with me Sad.

Kl24 Welcome. Without wanting to sound all doom and gloom, make sure you ask them about next steps, timescales, and what you're entitled to on the nhs. We didn't go straight to ivf, we had more waiting, more tests, then 6 months on clomid and two rounds of iui before we got there. It all took a lot longer than anticipated. We went to the fertility clinic in December 2012 and we're doing the fer from our first ivf cycle now... There were a couple of miscarriages and more tests related to them to drag things out for us, but it wouldn't have been super quick without.

KL24 · 04/08/2015 23:10

Thanks for the advice barking Smile not knowing the process and feeling unprepared is almost as frustrating as all the waiting - all the advice even the doom and gloom bits makes me feel a little more prepared and a little more realistic about the journey ahead - thanks for sharing!

good luck with your IVF Smile!

SesameSparkle · 04/08/2015 23:20

barking aw I'm so sorry your dh is not here to do this with you! Sad But you made a well thought out decision to do this right now and it is a good one. You can be strong for just a few more days!

tigerdog · 05/08/2015 13:15

Buggeration on the delay minx. Long protocol is so, well, long! I downregged for three weeks as I couldn't get back for a scan after two weeks, because my clinic are also rigid about the days that things have to happen. It felt like an age. How long have you been going for now?

seasame nice work on taking the plunge on another cycke. We'll be here to handhold for this one! Hope you get on ok with the bloods!

barking am thinking of you and your deck chair womb! Hope you're hanging in there.

Welcome KL and make yourself at home. You'll want to check the funding entitlement for your ccg too - Google fertility fairness or the infertility network. Whereabouts are you?

I've finished work for week and on my way home to pack up the car and the pooch to drive off up t'yorkshire! Whoop!

Had a funny moment in a meeting yesterday - talking about marketing maternity services and one of the GPs referred to the mumsnet brigade. I had a little chuckle to myself!

7dp 5dt, so essentially 12dpo.
I'm visiting my Dad in hospital tonight, then staying with family. I'm at the stage where I just need to know.
I have tried my meditation tracks. Finding work difficult to concentrate on even though I've got loads to do, so I'm glad I predicted this and took the next two days off!!

WildflowerMarmalade · 05/08/2015 14:55

Oh Barking. Flowers You did say that you felt being with your mum when you test might be the best thing. You know what is right for you to do, so follow your instinct.

Sorry to hear about all the misbehaving womb linings. Very naughty. Hope they sort themselves out and start doing what is needed Minx and Funky. Any extra waiting is so, so excruciating when it comes to treatment.

Sorry to hear you are feeling stressed out Beaky. I'm sure it will pass eventually - but goodness knows when unfortunately. Hang on in there and maybe smash up some more walls in the meantime.

clementineclouds · 05/08/2015 18:01

having a bit of a manic week, so struggling to keep up with posts...

barking sorry you are having such a rough time of it...wish I could send you a [hug]

wild hope you are doing okay.

kl welcome, hope your stay here is short. I'm fairly new here, and had to ask for explanation on what many of the IVF related acronyms mean (that get talked about in here). I've started to make a note, as I go along, so can always send these too you Smile

funky/minx sorry you are both having lining issues, hope you both get them to behave and sort themselves out soon.

hi to everyone else, and sorry for anyone I have missed. I will catch up fully at some point...honest Grin

beakybeak · 05/08/2015 19:50

Barking I hope your dad is improving. How are you feeling? I'm crossing absolutely everything for a bfp the in morning.

Tiger enjoy your break! Tigerpuppy will be in her element oop there Grin I would have laughed if I'd heard the "mumsnet brigade"

Sesame well done! What did the nurse say? Can they give you norithiserone or something to bring on a bleed?

Minx any sign yet? I'm still doing a shimmy for you! Dr for 5 weeks seems ridiculous. Did they say why it may not have thinned enough yet?

Wild I'm on a massive swing of emotion Grin I think I'm just frustrated at the bottom of it all. I hope everything is going well with you so far! When's the 12ws?

KL welcome! Hopefully you'll be in and out and won't need to be around too long! What everyone else said about the first appointment, it's just a chance to get the basics sorted and check if there's any extra issues to look into.

Clem hope you're doing ok. When's your first scan this cycle?

Funky good luck for tomorrow's scan

KL24 · 05/08/2015 20:26

Evening All

Seasme cheers! will ensure I report in with any suggestions but TBH from the looks of it so far you guys have already given me more advice than any medical professional so far, thank you all!
Beaky Thanks for the welcome - lol I could work with a 'last in, first out' criteria Wink
Mink Tiger I'm In leicester - 1xNHS IVF in my area that I won't be entitled to - struggling on finding the info NHS Criteria for IUI/Ovulation inductions - I've pretty much decided that I'll just go private to save my sanity speed up processes where possible - which tree does money grow on again??? Where a bouts are you ladies, anyone in my area?
Clement That would be great! it's like learning a whole new language at the mo - I have to read every thread twice and still only understand half of it lol

clementineclouds · 05/08/2015 20:28

beaky it seems there are no more scans for me...they just monitor on clomid for the first month, and then just leave me too it (as they are happy with how month 1 went/cyst going away), I can understand.

am now toying with whether to start on with those ovulation sticks/temping to get a better feel for when I ovulate, but I think as long as we dtd every other day, then we're covered...not sure I have the energy to start charting

hope all is okay with you.

SesameSparkle · 05/08/2015 20:44

Yo ladybros! Smile

Barking I’m getting nervous for you now… Sounds like you have a few things to keep you occupied though. Good luck with your pimping tomorrow, if you’re determined to do it! I was always an early tester

Tiger have a lovely time in Yorkshire, and I hope the sun shines for you!

Minx - come on lining! Does your clinic up your Buserelin dose to help things along?

Any news about the berry twinz wild?

How are you feeling today beaky?

clem, a month of treatment without dilcocams doesn’t sound too bad…

So I had blood taken this morning and have several weird purple blotches on the inside of my elbow to prove it. Despite my stupidly long cycle, the app on my phone told me I ovulated last week, which the bloods confirmed, so the clinic say I’m ready to go again if I want. I need to start the pill in a couple of days-time, and I’m booked in for a scratch next week. I’m actually shitting myself a little now, and I’m kinda overwhelmed by lots of new information about my protocol which I’m not fully able to take control of.

beakybeak · 05/08/2015 22:05

Clem that sounds good, I think temping and poas every day really up stress levels so the most you can do to keep it down, why not.

KL why wouldn't you be entitled to the NHS round? It's so frustrating that some get one/none for no good reason.

Sesame that's crazy, did you just have a really long wait between af and ov then? Come join me on the bean bag of birth control pills. A week and a half left for me. What's your new info? Anything we can advise put our two penneth in on Don't sue me if I'm wrong though Grin I'm ok today thanks for asking, I'm just a bit all over the place generally.

Good luck for the morning Barking

KL24 · 05/08/2015 23:03

Beaky It's all down the the DH having a DD from a previous relationship. the frustrating bit was that she claimed to be infertile at the age of 21 (and my Dh being at that time rather naive believed her!) 6 weeks later she is pregnant! - They moved abroad to be near her parents and when things didn't work out and she cut off contact he came home to the UK. And so now 13 years on,,,I'm not entitled under NHS criteria in our area!!!!So frustrating and unfair Sad

SesameSparkle · 05/08/2015 23:04

Thanks for the offer Dr Beaky Wink Today would be my day 47... I took a nasty long acting down reg injection as part of my last cycle. I think my low ovarian reserve meant it took ages for everything to switch back on again. Anyway I refused to take it again and asked for an alternative. So my clinic is going to use another's protocol. Only as my clinic aren't so familiar with the protocol they've been a bit rubbish at answering my questions.

happylass · 06/08/2015 07:01

Barking are you ok? Here if you need me. Too hot to sleep!
Welcome KL. I'm a Berry on tour at the moment but checking in when I can. Sorry you find yourself here. I see these wise ladies have given good advice about what to ask at your appointment. I think the most important thing is to find out what happens next and how long it's going to take. Sorry the postcode lottery has come n to play for you. In my area you are entitled to 2 rounds even if one of you (but not both) has a biological child. So bloody unfair!
