That would be great mummy! If you get your bfp you'll have plenty of time to plan the big reveal Grin

Those with their bfps already - have you told anyone yet? Any creative ways of doing it? Or those waiting bfps, got plans for a big reveal?

nightandthelight · 26/06/2015 09:22

I sent my best friends a picture of the pregnancy test. DH told the vicar. Haven't told any family yet and not sure how to! Any ideas most welcome :)

hayleycookie · 26/06/2015 09:23

Best of luck for today Miss

Sorry I was late on the chart Dizzy but yay for good news!! Fx for this months bfp!

Night Great thinking on getting a scan in the UK before going away! Will put your mind at ease so you can enjoy your break :) Let us know how it goes

Mummy Sorry for BFN but it is early so there's plenty of time! Hope AF stays away for you. Fx! And good luck for the mummy race if your sports day isn't cancelled. Are you going to hold off poas until due day now?

Wish I got my sleeping bras from Mothercare when I had DS. Very comfy and they are nursing bras too so you will be able to use them for a fair while. Nausea I believe hits around 6-8 weeks and can continue all the way through! I had it for 18 weeks!! It's apparently a good sign though :)

Nothing going on here :( No symptoms of Af or of potential Bfp! In actual Limbo right now waiting for a sign of either...but hopefully the latter! 1 week tomorrow until I can pee on something

ccapplin1 · 26/06/2015 09:32

night something like this?

Grin

I read online hayley that starting a really good book in the tww can help distract from symptom spotting... can't say it worked for me but might be worth a try?

How you know it's a really good book before you read it though I have no idea Grin

ccapplin1 · 26/06/2015 09:34

I've already got my reveal planned Blush

If I get my bfp this month first scan will fall shortly after my sister gives birth. I want to get a "I'm going to be a big cousin" baby grow and secretly change baby into it when I go stay with herSmile

Mummyofonesofar · 26/06/2015 09:39

cc That is if I can keep quiet that long, I told everyone as soon as we got our BFP and it really helped having them all on the end of the phone when I mc’d so will be telling everyone early again but would be great if I can keep quiet until I see them! If we’ re not lucky this month then I would be due to test while we are down there next month. No idea what my plan would be! I tested on my own last time and rang DP in tears really excited but wish I had told him face to face so will make sure I do that this time.

Hayley I don’t mind seeing BFNs so will just keep testing now as I bought 30 ICs Grin I forgot my trainers so hoping sports day is cancelled or will be doing it bare foot and will prob slip in a puddle! You won’t have any symptoms just yet, keeping everything crossed for you (even legs Wink)

wish1406 · 26/06/2015 09:40

I love the bun in oven idea!!! I think we might do that with DH parents! We have not told anyone yet! Only one work colleague of mine knows but only because I needed her to do a x-Ray for me! I'm nervous about too many ppl knowing! Eek! Works going to be difficult tho.

Mummyofonesofar · 26/06/2015 09:41

cc that is a great reveal! Very cute. I saw a baby announcement on facebook last year of the toddler dressed in a "I am going to be a big brother" sleepsuit. Was adorable!

ccapplin1 · 26/06/2015 09:52

I can understand that Mummy having everyone supporting you from the beginning is a good idea. My reveal is the ideal scenario but I am the world's worst at keeping secrets so very much expect the cat to be out the bag from poas day. Don't even know how I'll tell DH if I get a bfp...

I understand that wish we've got places at work I won't be able to go because of lasers and x rays and stuff so keeping quiet is going to be difficult when it does happen.

ccapplin1 · 26/06/2015 09:54

I do hope I can force myself to do that way though. My sister is so rather for me to have a baby. She was trying to persuade me to start trying last year at the same time as her. Wasn't the right time for us though haha

ccapplin1 · 26/06/2015 10:08

So eager* not so rather

Mummyofonesofar · 26/06/2015 10:21

cc would be lovely if you could keep quiet long enough.

I don't really understand people who keep quiet until 12 weeks to share the news - who do they turn to if they mc? The support I had from work, friends & family was amazing and I couldn't have done it without them.

nightandthelight · 26/06/2015 10:32

I guess it depends on how close you are to people mummy, I told my friends as they would be the people I lean on. Will tell family after the scan tomorrow and then everyone else after the 12 week scan. I am not close to my colleagues so would not rely on them for support if I mc. I think most people tell one or two people at least :)

Mummyofonesofar · 26/06/2015 10:47

Yeah it does depend how close you are. We didn't tell everyone we know, just a handful of close friends, family (parents & siblings) and 3 girls at work including my boss who I get on well with. Though since the mc I have snapped back at a few people asking why I was off and I have told them to stop gossip and everyone has been lovely. Everyone has to do what is right for them x

nightandthelight · 26/06/2015 10:50

Absolutely and it's wonderful that you have so many people to support you. People should never ask why you are off work (apart from your boss), that is so inappropriate!

Mummyofonesofar · 26/06/2015 10:53

It was a bit like "hope you're feeling better, what it that virus going around?" "Oh I hope I don't catch whatever you had!" When someone is off 2 weeks you assume it is personal not just a sniffle surely?!

hayleycookie · 26/06/2015 12:09

CC That reveal idea is SO cute!!! I do have a book I'm currently reading but I wouldn't say it's good enough to distract me so far. I'm relying on reading through here to keep me going! You are all so very entertaining :)

Mummy Lol!! Really appreciate the legs crossing for me ;) That made me chuckle! Hopefully you won't need all 30 sticks!!

I had originally planned to keep it between me and DH WHEN I get the BFP but reading through this has made me question it. It would be nice to not suffer if something did happen.

Wish How many weeks are you now? I bet your dying to tell people! Though it must be lovely to have such a great secret :)

MissMartin10 · 26/06/2015 12:21

anyone have any test dates planned? Smile

wish1406 · 26/06/2015 12:23

Hayley I'm 5+5 now. Feeling sick today. Not sick enough to be sick but that feeling of it might be soon! Ooh nooo! However I'm finding all these symptoms reassuring! I'm so desperate to tell ppl. I've decided to talk to DH about telling our parents. Maybe just mine to begin with tho. I'm very close to them so I'd love their support. However my mum is renound for her big gob!!! So I'm a bit hesitant... Any news from miss?

Yay for a wonderful scan miss :) how many weeks did you think you were when you went in?

wish1406 · 26/06/2015 12:32

Oh hi miss glad your scan was good! Exciting!!!

OP posts:
Mummyofonesofar · 26/06/2015 12:33

miss yay! Very hapy for you, so you are 3 days earlier than you thought! At least you were nearly right with your EDD

hayleycookie · 26/06/2015 12:39

Miss That sounds brilliant! Glad it went so well for you. I bet you're counting down to the next time you get to see him/her again now :)

Wish As sucky as the nausea it's a good way to tell things are still going as planned. Apparently it means that your hormone levels are high so woo-hoo for vomit!!
