Thanks miss. Will speak to DH and see what he thinks. He's a positive person through and through so not sure he'll be too keen.

Mummy I know the NHS have a three mc rule but I think what happened to you was really awful, don't get me wrong all mc's are horrible but I remember your post well and I think an early reassurance scan should be offered to you. Fx the GP agrees.

MsGlitterJunkie · 31/07/2015 14:15

Definitely ask your GP mummy even after my first MC my GP said next time I got pregnant I could get a reassurance scan. In my NHS trust they will do investigations etc. after 3 MCs but reassurance scans are standard after MC 1. Is there an early pregnancy unit at any of the hospitals near you? Some allow self referrals so that might be worth investigating?

Mummyofonesofar · 31/07/2015 14:30

I will give it a try. Thanks for remembering DizzyM I can't imagine going through the same experience in a public toilet in Bulgaria if I had no warning.

MsGlitterJunkie · 01/08/2015 19:34

Oh mummy sorry to hear you had a horrible experience before (I'm new to mumsnet so know nothing!!!).

I've been trying to stay zen but have had some rather sharp stabbing pains the other night particularly was excruciating but over in about 20 mins so nothing to worry about I'm sure........

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Mummyofonesofar · 03/08/2015 10:38

glitter If you didn't have any bleeding then I am sure you are fine lovely. You aren't meant to know! I had a mc in May but I passed the tiny baby complete in it's sack and it was very traumatic, but positivity this time round will pull me through!

Just been to collect my maternity notes Grin 3 weeks til my 8w appointment (but by ov date I will be 7w+2). Saw a different midwife today and she said she will see if she can ask again for a scan before I fly, she could see how nervous I was. Also saw someone from work too who has announced her pregnancy already, had to send her an email asking for her to pretend she hasn't seen me Grin

Southy84 · 03/08/2015 11:58

Hi everyone

Hope your booking in app goes well today francoise so sorry to hear about your son Flowers

Hope you're doing ok mummy Id keep pushing for a early scan, that's good the midwife is seeing if she can get you in before you fly, fx she does.

Hope everyone else is ok :)

MsGlitterJunkie · 03/08/2015 12:11

Oh mummy I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Similar thing happened to me in Nov at 8 weeks, had no idea the sac would literally just fall out like that........horrific stuff. Anyway, positive, positive, positive thoughts. Keeping my fingers crossed you get your early scan.

Good luck francoise with your appointment, am sure it'll go well.

Hope you get a cancellation soon southy keep pestering the clinic.

I'm going in to see my GP on Fri when I'll be 5 weeks and ask her to get me referred to the midwives and for an early scan at 6.5 weeks. Hopefully it'll start to feel a bit more real by then!

Mummyofonesofar · 03/08/2015 12:42

Thanks Southy hope you’re ok!

Hugs for you too Glitter good luck when you see your GP Friday, mine didn’t want to see me, just had to self refer to the midwives!

Southy84 · 03/08/2015 12:45

Thanks glitter I've been calling every day Blush ive been feeling so sick the last 3 days, and funny AF. Type cramps, trying not to look into it too much as I have been analysing everything for far too long now! Only 9dpo so it's too early for symptoms, just hoping AF doesn't arrive early like last month!

DizzyMerry · 03/08/2015 21:19

It's so hard not to read too much into symptoms isn't it? This cycle I could have sworn AF was about to arrive but thankfully I got a bfp. I have everything crossed for you.

Southy84 · 03/08/2015 21:29

Thanks merry I've been feeling so under the weather, high temp today, nausea and so tired ive been asleep all afternoon, but can't seem to sleep at night last few nights. Convinced it's some sort of virus but still part of me symptom spotting! I know I shouldn't

DizzyMerry · 03/08/2015 22:18

Southy symptom spotting becomes second nature when ttc and we've all done it. High temp is definitely a good sign and your other symptoms do sound promising. I really hope AF stays away from you.

nightandthelight · 04/08/2015 08:26

I dropped off the bus! Currently pretty frustrated at work as computer isn't working and I am holding interviews at 10 and need to print off a load of info!

Southy84 · 05/08/2015 07:58

Hi night how are you? Did you get your computer sorted? Hope all went well :)

nightandthelight · 05/08/2015 08:05

Just made it southy with about two minutes to go! How are you?

Mummyofonesofar · 05/08/2015 09:33

This bus is getting very quiet recently....

Mummyofonesofar · 05/08/2015 10:43

You will all be pleased to know I have booked myself a private scan on the morning of my flight to Bulgaria in Bolton, too far to travel on a normal day but sort of on the way to Manchester airpot from us. It is a clinic ran by specialist GPs and only £50 for a reassurance/dating scan at 8 weeks. They said they are happy to do either external or internal depending on what they see on the day to ensure I see a hertbeat before I fly.

DizzyMerry · 05/08/2015 10:53

That's great mummy and hopefully you will then be able to relax a bit on holiday. DH is not keen on us having an early scan so I'm trying to slowly talk him round.

It's very quiet on here. I think people may be on other threads.

Mummyofonesofar · 05/08/2015 11:00

I hope so DizzyM No idea what I would do if a scan shows something was about to go wrong just hours before our flight though! Sad just got to keep positive. My DP thinks it is a waste of money. I haven't told him yet, just booked it Grin

nightandthelight · 05/08/2015 11:04

I was worried about that mummy as I had mine just before flying to Spain. It will be fine though I am sure :)

MissSMartin · 05/08/2015 11:05

mummy oh good!Smile Is it at scanassure? x

Mummyofonesofar · 05/08/2015 11:11

It is MissMartin - do you know it?

Fx mine will be as fine as your night

MissSMartin · 05/08/2015 11:58

yeah!! That's where mine is booked for next week to find out the sex Smile
Fx for you hun, I'm sure everything will be completely fine xx

Mummyofonesofar · 05/08/2015 12:17

Let me know how you find it! 2 MNers crossing paths just a few weeks apart Smile Good luck for your scan too! How many weeks are you? Why it is you're getting a sexing scan outside the NHS or is yours an NHS referral to there?

MsGlitterJunkie · 05/08/2015 14:14

Hello everyone! Great news mummy re: your private scan, £50 isn't too bad, hopefully DH will forget all about the cost when he sees your little wriggler in there!

Sorry you've been feeling poorly southy hopefully you'll start to feel better soon and here's hoping your af stays away.

Exciting news about your sex scan next week miss bet you can't wait.

I've had a bit of a wobbly day today....probably as I'm going to be 5 weeks tomorrow and that's where it started to go wrong last time BUT trying to keep my mind on the present not the past....these early days and weeks are so tricky, argh!
