It will be nice having sil around I bet lulu Smile I was by a school yesterday and saw all the parents walking up with absolutely loads of gifts for the teachers!

Glad your ds is getting better in his bed cupcake Smile

Lil that's good that ds is only having 1-2 feeds some nights.

Dr didn't say anything, there's nothing else they can do for his sleeping apart from drugging him up which I won't do. Hmm She said he must have a tummy bug too Hmm

LuluJakey1 · 18/07/2015 12:59

Parents and children are only allowed to give little presents to staff- cards, chocolate, a mug, something like that. We both think that is right. He did get a Tshirt for DS saying 'My Dad Says I am the Best Baby in the World' so I suspect he has been saying that to his classes. Grin
The staff were lovely, lots of alcohol of various kinds, vouchers for John Lewis, books, Itunes voucher, funny things too (matching sun hats for him and DS) and some flowers for me. Lovely cards which he was quite emotional reading. He will miss it but he was ready to move up and there was no chance there. It is a big pay increase and a different kind of job so it's exciting. He will be pinching my stuff because I do lots of what he will be doing!

He has gone out on his bike ride with his friend he cycles with so that will blow the end of term cobwebs away. Then he has the lawn to cut and DS to entertain while I go to the Metrocentre- I like it at teatime. It is open late ad gets quiet and there are so many shops-hundreds- it is great.

DS is eating mashed potato and carrot with his hands at the moment. Hmm

You are doing well with DS Cupcake, sleeping and eating better is good news.

I don't know what to suggest Ducky - may be it is his teeth. DS definitely pooed more last week when his gums were sore- they seem to have settled down a bit.

Cupcake92 · 18/07/2015 18:16

Thanks Ducky :) how's ur DS now ? Does he still seem poorly? Bless him

Lulu sounds like he was treated very well! :) I hope he enjoys his new job :) and thank u, just glad he's slowly starting to eat and sleep again!

I don't know how everyone else felt when pg, but I'm completely different this time round, I get stressed very very very easily. The slightest thing will stress me out and other things will tip me over the edge and I'll sit and cry. Like last night DS spilt his drink all over the bed at bedtime and it was soaked. Right down to the Matress and I just burst into tears whilst trying to sort it. I get like a small panic attack as well every time, which then stresses me even more as I'm worrying about panick attacks !
I need to stop getting stressed!

zombiemeow · 18/07/2015 19:40

Oh cupcake I was exactly the same, I don't know if you remember but I kept having these things where I would go very very dizzy and sweaty and light headed to the point I would have to just lie completely still then eventually I would start being violently sick, hospital kept an eye on me because of it, then said it was panic attacks Confused
Hope it goes away for you.

Lulu it really does sound nice where you live Smile how has your ds sleeping been since he started crawling? I wonder if that has affected my ds, when he wakes up he's often crawling round his cot and I have to flip him on his back and he quickly settles. It's just so tiring having to do it so many times a night Confused

LuluJakey1 · 18/07/2015 21:26

He sleeps better Ducky. I think 'cos he uses lots of energy. But he can pull himself up and stand for a short while in his cot now and he shouts if he wakes up as well as crying. When we go in he lets go of the side and falls over on his bum because he can't balance yet. He is all over the cot. We often find him the other way on to how he started , or just in a heap with him bum in the air. He doesn't go to bed very early tho' often about half 8 or 9. He went about 9 tonight.

I am sitting with my feet up and a large gin and tonic with ice. DH has a glass of Guinness. We're watching a horror film- well he is.

Cupcake, I was awful sometimes when I was pregnant. I cried at the drop of a hat and had those terrible mood swings later on. I just think hormones can have you feeling quite scared at what goes on in your head.

OP posts:
zombiemeow · 18/07/2015 22:18

Wow that's nuts lulu!!!! Ds can't stand up yet! He's been crawling for a while and I wondered if that was what was waking him up because he's always crawling about but if your ds doesn't I guess not HmmHmm

LuluJakey1 · 18/07/2015 23:01

He only does it in his cot and we are not sure yet how he does it, we haven't seen him - just seen him when he has done it. But he falls very quickly. If we stand him against the sofa he can stand for about 10-20 seconds but he can't move and just falls over.

He likes to stand between DH's legs when DH sits on the sofa. DH holds him up under the arms with his legs and DS loves it. He giggles away to himself.

We have two stair gates now to stop him, at either end of the stairs. If you take your eye off him for even a minute downstairs he heads straight for the bottom of the stairs.

Cupcake92 · 19/07/2015 01:45

Oh yes Ducky I remember ! It's horrible feeling l, I don't like it :(

Lulu, hormones are scary ur right ! Lol! I think they make u go mad!

Ducky and Lulu my DS only started to stay still when he was in bed since the beginning of this year, before that he was also moving All over the place! I got him a cot bed quilt and now he tends to keep his head on his pillow lol not always tho! He does end up at the bottom sometimes Grin

I've been up since 1am throwing up :( only just calmed down now and I'm back in bed. Not sure what's up with me? A big? Or just because of stress? It's awful tho, as baby would kick me and move once I'd been sick making it feel so much worse in there. I'm just lying here now feeling sorry for myself and trying to do things to take my mind off it.

Cupcake92 · 19/07/2015 01:45

Bug no big !

Cupcake92 · 19/07/2015 01:46

Bug NOT big!

Sorry for the errors in my spelling ! It's late lol!!

LuluJakey1 · 19/07/2015 17:35

Well DS has had a lovely afternoon in his paddling pool. He has had a bowl of mushed up strawberries and raspberries and thin slices of melon and fed himself while he was sitting naked. Just as well because it was everywhere. The paddling pool water had to be changed and we had to put some warm in so he could go straight back in.

Cupcake that sounds horrid, poor you Flowers I hope
You start feeling better very soon!

Cupcake92 · 20/07/2015 06:42

Morning everyone.
Oh gosh where have u all been? Lol

Lulu ur DS sounds like he always has so much fun bless him :) does he like fruit a lot then?

Thank u Lill. It wasn't nice haha. I just took it easy yesterday stuck to eating toast and advanced to toast and jam in the afternoon haha Grin I feel much better now but my stomach still has an awful ache to it.

Hope everyone's okay!

zombiemeow · 20/07/2015 09:02

I'm still here Grin currently having a few problems with ds sleep Hmm he's also been having strange poos and stopped eating solids Hmm feeling a bit down about it all tbh

LuluJakey1 · 20/07/2015 10:25

He loves strawberries and melon Cupcake. He does have fun. DH and I were just saying last night that he is a really happy boy most of the time and really enjoys things.

We have had a poonami this morning! It was everywhere. He had to be hosed down in the shower with DH.

Glad you are feeling better Cupcake. Sounds like the worst is over.

Ducky, what do you mean by strange poos?

OP posts:
zombiemeow · 20/07/2015 18:12

He usually has 1-2 a day that are a yellowish colour but recently he's been having anywhere up to 6 and they're very very dark green Confused

Ds loves loves loves cucumber Grin

LuluJakey1 · 20/07/2015 20:16

6 is a lot. DS has 2-3 usually. Cucumber can cause heartburn in some people Ducky.

Is there mucous in his poo? Dark green and mucous could be an allergy. Or may be cucumber is making it green.

I see bits of undigested food in DS's. Blueberry skins and tomato skins. Carrot bits. He had barley in a casserole the other day and it came out as it went in. Eww! TMI.

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 20/07/2015 20:29

Ducky is he on medication atm?
Or has he had any iron rich foods?
Or if he's teething and dribbling a lot, it could be mucus. DS had that when he had rotavirus, was throwing up and diarrhoea, and it was the throwing up that made it green as there was not a lot to digest. Also when he had a cough it was green cuz of the mucus.
Poor little man aye Flowers

Lulu that's gross Grin lol! Isn't baby poo so interesting!

Baby has decided to turn today, he's lying sideways in my Belly, it's so so uncomfortable and quite painful :(
I'm lying in bed with DS again, praying he sleeps as he was up at 4am this morning!
We have the appointment with the health visitor tomorrow, I'm a bit nervous, hoping ds weighs the right weight and I'm not doing everything all wrong Confused recently I've been quite anxious and worried and getting myself down thinking I'm not a very good mom, because of DS not eating or sleeping and his behaviour. Then number 2 on the way, I just want to be good for them both. I know I've been silly thinking it Grin but it's been bothering me a lot, have had friends rub in my face how their children are in bed by 6:30pm and that I'm being silly and should just put him in bed shut the door and leave him. Apparently 'he'll soon get its bedtime' I don't wanna do that tho :s

zombiemeow · 20/07/2015 20:58

Lulu he hadn't been eating much solids but he had a big dinner tonight. It wasn't mucous it was more kind of foamy iykwim. His dribbling has been ridiculous so I just really hope he's teething and it's nothing nasty.

Cupcake I have been having days like that, horrible isn't it! Sounds like our ds are both the same Grin hope the hv goes ok.

LuluJakey1 · 20/07/2015 21:00

Cupcake, you are a great mum. You should not worry about it at all. DS is very lucky and so will DS2 be.

DH and I discuss baby poo at least once every day Grin Oh how life has changed!

If your baby going to bed at 6.30pm is the measure of how good a parent you are, we have failed miserably. DS is still awake- having his bottle now and finally looking sleepy.

OP posts:
Lillamyy1 · 21/07/2015 02:50

Just caught up with everything.. Cupcake I feel exactly like you, I'd never just shut DS in his room. I'm totally against baby training. However difficult it is, it's our responsibility as mums to be there for our babies and comfort them whenever they need it.
Ducky, my DS has had green poos for weeks and weeks. Sometimes they're more brownish and sometimes a bit yellow but they've never gone back to the mild yellow ones he had the first few weeks. Apparently green is within the normal range but I find it disconcerting Hmm
Lulu I hope your sleep is improving.

Cupcake92 · 21/07/2015 07:43

Ducky as long as he's not got a temp and he's getting plenty of fluids green poop is fine :) and I know, our DS's must think alike!

Lulu, I couldn't ever imagine DS being asleep by 6:30, I think all babies are different and in my eyes as long as they fall asleep at some point that's okay! Grin

I'm against baby training too Lill, I don't want him feeling scared. If I was younger and my mom put me to bed and shut the door not letting me out I think it'd terrify me even more!

Cupcake92 · 21/07/2015 10:24

Just seen the health visitor.
Because DS can't pronounce a sound in his words he's being referred for a hearing test. Apparently this will help rule out if his behaviour is related to hearing problems or something else.
Because my brother has autism she wants to keep an eye on that too. She's visiting us at home on 30th September once he started nursery to see what's he's like in his own environment.

Now I'm worried he's got autism. I don't want him to have that as I see how my brother is and there's no way I'd cope. At all :(
