This is a thread for those diagnosed with high or very high natural killer cells and trying to concieve or are pregnant and taking steroids/intralipids etc

Morning seeking. I'm going to try keep a lid on it today!

Aw it's so hard hearing other people's news, u sound like ur doing so well though. It will be you soon again, hopefully the house and puppy will keep you busy for a bit and before you know it you will be back on ttc. U get preg quite quickly don't u? I was thinking yest essentially it's just a numbers game-one of them will work out for us all its just a matter of when. So we all have to have hope that it's the next time and if not, the time after. I just wish I had a crystal ball that could tell us when that time was!

Yeah I suppose in the grand scheme of things I fall quite quickly.. 4months of trying for pregnancies 1,2 &3 and 6 months for pg4. Seems like an age when you're actually going through it though. I'm hoping now with meds it might be sooner. I know eventually like you say,one will work in my favour but I'm so impatient. A crystal ball would be lovely!

I know it goes sooo slow doesn't it. But hopefully u will be busy making ur home beaut while it happens.

Waiting for my intralipids! Need to get into work wish they would hurry up!
No cramps or twinges today?! Slept really well too. Feeling fine. Trying not to obsses as what this means now!

Agh! Cock up with delivery! I'm mega late for work need to leave like now! Need infusion on Friday and my clexane runs out tmrw!

Oh no! What a nightmare!! Is it going to arrive in time?
If you get stuck I have loads of Fragmin, does the same job as Clexane. Could try and get it to you some how??

Hello everyone, just checking in to say hello and let you all know I'm still thinking of you all.

It doesn't seem to get any easier no matter where in the process you are, ttc, pregnant, waiting for scans.... The whole thing is heartbreaking.

trying I agree with the crystal ball idea, I'd go through this a dozen times if someone could tell me the thirteenth time would be my healthy, happy baby. It's the not knowing that is most painful to me.

I'm back at work on Saturday to do admin and then starting my Monday to Friday 8-4 office job. I'm relieved in the one hand but on the other I'm not relishing all the time at home alone that will bring.

Thanks seeking that's v kind. It's sorted! I gave them a good teling off and my DH is leaving work early to get their last delivery. What a pain!

Got to work and had 2 bites of a brie sandwhich! Was harrased and not thinking! then went oh this is "gross" out loud when I realised I shouldn't be having brie and chose another one! Need to be careful And also less obvious!

Hi snoopy been thinking of u. Maybe work will be a good distraction for u? Are u back to ttc yet? Make sure u just do what feels comfortable for u. I hope they ease u in.

Hopender- (38 yrs old) 7 miscarriages, one DS, pred, cycolgest, baby aspirin and intralipids. Baby boy born!

2nd trimester

Rosa (39yrs) - 3 MMC
(11.5, 6.5, 7.5). 6 months ttc on treatment. On complex programme for high NK, cytokines and thyroid antibodies (hydroxy, pred, intralipids)- had allergy to Humira. SO programme (? Weeks)

1st trimester

Sunny (32 yrs)- high nk cells - hydroxy, pred intralipids - 3 mc (1 on treatment). (8/9weeks?)

Tryingno1 (31 yrs old)- 3 mc. Ttc since April 2012. 5.5 weeks, 9 weeks, 6 weeks. Ivf bfp this time as low sperm. Also High nk cells, pa1 mutation. C4/m2 mutation. Hla dq match and low LAD. (Last ones done by ivf clinic) on dex, asprin, metformin,clexane,hydroxy and Intralipids every 4 weeks till 16weeks (4 plus 5)

TTC

Hula2 (39 years) - one DS (took 18mns with low amh but no other probs), one MC at 9wks, ttc no 2 19 mns (12mns since last mc), low amh, borderline cytokines, high nks, on complex nk plan (pred, intralipids). Humira completed. SO cycle 1.

Drttc- (28 yrs old) xx MCS (6 wks, 4wks 2 days, 5.5 weeks), very high NKC on complex treatment plan: hydroxy 2x day, 25 mg pred from ovulation, add cyclogest on bfp & Intralipids every 4 wks until 16 wks.

Also, I felt weird putting I was in first trimester? It feels too early to say that I wanted to put - just found out she has a bfp?! But that's a bit odd!

Trying - thanks for updating things. Crazy how much changed in just a couple of months ?! I'm 16 weeks if you're updating again (17 on Sat all going well). Sorry you've had a nightmare with intralipids.
Snoopy - hope you feel better when you're back into a routine and everything else then starts to fall into place too.

Yeah rosa! She had a boy! Sounded a bit stressful has had placental abruption but baby was safe and sound as was she! Last we heard he was in neonatal ward but hopefully he's home now!

I'm feeling so normal and sup 5 weeks today. I have no symptoms it's really freaking me out. My scan feels like ages away :(

Hey trying, hang in there! As you've said you don't want to stress yourself with other tests that may ring false alarms... So there's only the good sign of no pain or bleeding to go off of! Also, we all have this feeling that eventually it has to work... So how about now :)!

Thanks drttc. I feel like a bloddy boring broken record! Yes no spotting is good. ALso my DH said that ive had awful naseau 2 and 3rd time and it still ended in miscarriage so really it's not a sign of anything. I would be more worried if I was feeling awful and then suddently felt ok which is what happened before hence scan and missed miscarruage. But maybe the pred and as in still quite early it's just just surfaced yet. This is SUCH hard work.
I will try keep hanging in there :)

My intralipids tmre and was worrying it's 5weeks rather than on BFP but I had some 4 weeks ago before transfef and I think they last 4ish weeks?

How r u? Are u testing soon or u not in TTC mode?

Haha I know we all feel that way in this journey! It just shows how resilient we are that we continue to go on, and on, and on... As hard as it is, being able to endure such a repetive (and often sad) cycle makes us the kind of women who will overcome RMC.

I'm definitely not in TTC mode... So nice not worrying! Instead of counting down the days, occasionally I just go 'oh I'm on this day already!'. Will get back to it next month but continue with a laid back attitude. At this point my problem isn't conceiving, it's the 4 miscarriages under my belt... Scans are my goal!

Glad u having a break. I know it's so hard and yes we are strong women made of stone! Although I was very annoyed that yesterday we had an argument with the neighbours and it rattled me up so much. I shouldn't care by anything else right now!
I think im petrified about how I will react if this doesn't work. With the lack of sperm etc im terrified we have only a few more chances and so my number game will end soon. I'm also on so many meds I don't think therr is anything else they can do?! Although obv if it's a bad egg or sperm nothing can help that
Must try stay Hopeful. Not broken down with anxiety or tears YET! Last time I cried every day I was preg as was sure it was going to end.

And u will get to scan stage im sure u will. I hope shehta has some helpful tricks up his sleeve for u

Swlondonnanny 39, TTC no 1 (since dec 2010) multiple chemicals /miscarriages in week 5. TTC naturally. Have high uNK cell, normal blood NKcells but high activity, really high thyroid antibodies, borderline proteins C and S deficiency , borderline high TNFa.
On prednisolone, fragmin and intralipids from BFP

Hang on in there trying...the president will be massively masking everything and as you said still very early!!

Not having blood test till next week and seeing Dr S week after...I'm in pred hell right now, totally forgot how weird and spaced out I got on it...anyone else feel this?? Disgusting taste in my mouth too...yuk :(

Thanks trying! Oh no, what was the problem with the neighbors? I can totally relate to being overly-rattled by things like that when pregnant. I just feel like 'I hate you! Everyone be super nice to me so I don't feel stressed and then miscarry!' I know you're worried about sperm but you're so lucky to have caught that issue and now that you're freezing them you won't need millions... Just need neigh to fertilize your eggs! You've got an amazing plan in place and have done EVERYTHING possible. The fact that you've even had the BFP on your first ivf go is so promising.

I think I've reached a stage where I feel I have nothing to lose and everything to gain... Can only go up from this point! I was in a pretty good place during pregnancy last month- but was completely thrown by the ectopic scare. Losing a tube & having surgery wasn't something I'd considered as a possibility and it pretty much shattered my 'come what may' attitude lol. Life likes to keep us on our toes eh!
