I know hula. I think when we first tried it took us a month to get preg as I was fertile and he had nornal sperm. It has really puzzled us how we had such quick pregnancies before. Over the last 2 years his sperm has prob gone from totally normal to hardly anything. Infact 2 months ago it was 5 million and now it's like 50 lying around! I can only presume that when we started it was normal.

Am intent on being hopefull that this or one of our frozen ones work. But obviously the worry of a chromosomal issue or miscarrying a few more times and then DH sperm not defrosting is lurking in my mind!

Aw bless ur son. He sounds so cute. How old is he again? 4 i think? U will be doing everything u can and I really hope this works for u.

Time for some good news!

Seekingmiracles · 16/06/2015 21:07

Don't worry Trying...it's hard keeping up sometimes.. And there's only a few of us!
Thank god you got it all checked out now rather than waiting... You're right we are due some good news!

I'm ok, back to work tomorrow. I need normality. Sitting at home moping isn't going to help me. I need to stay busy.

Hula - I hope SO works quickly for you and you don't have too many months of it. How much is it?

Tryingno1 · 16/06/2015 21:15

Well done for trying work but if u don't feel up for it just come home. I went in too quickly after my thurs and it affected it a lot. I thought I was thougher than I was!
Sleep well girls! Been a crazy week for a lot of us x

Hula2 · 16/06/2015 22:01

Trying - just try and banish those lurking doubts otherwise its so easy to become overwhelmed, there s no reason why you haven got good eggs and they have chosen the best sperm and then the best embie so hopefully chromosal issues should be unlikely and you re on immune tx before conception so the best chance of that stopping a mc. I m feeling very hopeful for you.

Yes my DS is nearly 4. He s fascinated by baby bumps (unlike me who tries to ignore them) but mortified me the other day when he asked a lady in the park whose bump wasn t a baby if she had a baby in her tummy...i didn t know what to say !

Seeking - hope you re ok at work but i know what you mean about keeping busy. SO is not that expensive. About 250 for scan and femara was about 12, not sure how much the ovitrelle shot is as haven t got it from the chemist yet. Obv way more if you did IUI but we ll just bd when instructed ! Just want to get on and give it a try to now so ill know whether i respond or not.

Seekingmiracles · 17/06/2015 09:27

Good luck today Drttc, hope the bloods show that things are heading in the right direction for you and you won't need surgery. Thinking of you lovely.

I think I'd rather be at work than at home. Too much time to think at home. None of the girls have said anything so far which is great. Seeing a friend tonight, who I know is only caring but I don't like being babied and she's one of those who goes a bit ott. She'll prob make me cry!

DH have decided that if we have no luck my Christmas we'll give SO a go. I'm hoping that it won't be needed but just want a plan in place.

Tryingno1 · 17/06/2015 09:39

Morning seeking. I hope ur friend is helpful it's hard for them to know wot to say. I've often been annoyed or upset but I suppose they are just trying to help in a shitty situation.

I'm the same re plan. I always need a back up! Hence mad calling today to get loads of frozen soerm for dh. Then I ahve 3 embies and some spe for another cycle or 2.

Drttc let us know how ur bloods r, hope they are falling quickly xx

sunnyday01 · 17/06/2015 10:40

Hula, just quickly checking in, I found boots and lloyds chemist the cheapest for ovitrelle about £40. When I went somewhere else locally it was nearly £60!

Hi all, no time to read but hope you're all way. Just to let you know I came across this. Grazia journalist treated by Mr S:

Seekingmiracles · 17/06/2015 12:20

I saw that Freelance.... I actually tweeted her. DrS really is a miracle man

Drttc · 17/06/2015 12:21

Hi all!

Thanks so much for thinking of me.

Seeking, you're so sweet. I think I understand why you wouldn't want to be left alone with your thoughts, but can't imagine the strength it would take for you to face the world right now. It's a very strange place to be in... Not wanting to dwell or be miserable, but having a every right to. How are you physically?

Glad you're okay Sunny! Sounds like things are back on track.

Hula, I know what you mean about wanting a plan in place. I'm exactly the same way!

How are you feeling Snoopy?

And Trying? Any symptoms?

We'll I've had a bit of an excruciating time! Been 'cramping' (WORST PAINS EVER) and bleeding since last night. Sometimes falling over in pain & nauseousness. Waiting on my blood tests to come in later. As I was in so much pain they had a look and found that I had a (DON'T READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU'RE FAINT HEARTED) chunk of womb lining stuck at the neck of my womb. They pulled it out & apparently that can cause a lot of pain & you can even go in to shock if it doesn't pass naturally. Currently going in and out of feeling terrible, but assuming it's just me miscarrying. Hoping the bloods come back low & then I'll be in the clear! Hubby is taking care of me like a saint so feeling very loved.

Tryingno1 · 17/06/2015 12:47

Oh gosh drtcc. What an ordeal. Sounds awful. Glad DH there. Our men are great aren't they-I wouldn't cope without mine..sorry ur in pain. :(

Why is Ttc so hard for some and so easy for others? Doesn't make sense!

Seeking how is work?

No symtpoms! Still not sleeping well with anxiety! So am v tired. Back to work tmrw. I'm just trying to stay postive but not sure what to feel! Its a surreal feeling.

Xx

Tryingno1 · 17/06/2015 13:05

Hula sorry I missed ur post last night! Ur little one sounds like a little inquisitive one how sweet. That is really hillarious he said that! How embarrassing! Haha. I hope so much one day he gets to ask about ur bump. But for now u sound like a lovely mummy and I'm sure he has a wonderful well rounded life. X

Tryingno1 · 17/06/2015 14:14

Other 2 embies didn't make it! So I have the one on board and 3 in the freezer. Good news is preg rates are same with frozen ones and also 95 percent survie the thaw. So hopefully I have another 3 chances left. Also booked 2 freezing sperm appts for dh ! And hopefully that will give us enough for another 2 cycles I hope.

sunnyday01 · 17/06/2015 16:40

Seeking - are you lara on Twitter?!

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 17/06/2015 17:03

Drtcc how were ur bloods?
Seeking u survie ur first day back?
Sunny hope ur feeling calmer!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 17/06/2015 17:10

hula you're eggs are not too old! You're body is just waiting to catch the perfect one.
I'm a bit like your DS, I'm always looking at bumps Blush and women with newborns. I stare at them and try to work out what made them successful. Crazy I know.

drttc that sounds awful, I'm so sorry. I just hope this is all over for you soon and you can start to recuperate. How are the blood tests looking x

Hope everyone else is as well as they can be. seeking make sure you're looking after yourself, trying have they found out what's causing your DHs levels to drop so quickly?

Well I finally spoke to occupational health and they have decided .... Drumroll .... That I am 'unfit for operational duty' for at least the next five months. I know that is what I wanted and I know it's not forever but it's a bit of a blow to hear that after six years. I think as well that because it's such a macho environment I've heard people say such horrible things about officers in this position and I don't want them to say it about me. They still haven't found anywhere to put me though, bloody budget cuts!

Seekingmiracles · 17/06/2015 17:19

Oh Drttc, I'm sorry you're having such a crap time and you're in pain! This is all sooo unfair!

What a shame that 2 didn't make it Trying but you've got 3 in the freezer and giving it a good go and getting as much sperm frozen too! I have no doubt that you'll get there Hun.

Work was ok, thankfully it's an early finish as the salon I work in is on Ascot high street and as the racing is on its absolute bedlam so we finish at 4.
Won a cheeky little bet as well! So could have been worse.

Hula you're little boy sounds brilliant just the way little boys should be! Hopefully you'll have a brother or sister on board for him soon enough.

Rosa27 · 17/06/2015 22:14

Drttc- jeez.. Poor you, so hope your ordeal is getting better. I had a similar situ though sure not as bad after my last D&C and nearly fainted while in the city walking with the pain.. I passed it on my own fortunately so must not have been as bad as you. Really hope you're on the mend now.
Trying - feel for you too.. But really sounds like you've been ensuring you're doing all you can to maximise chances now and in the future. Really excited for you.
Snoopy - result with work! :) forget about macho opinions just focus on you right now or the time off will be marred by these people.
Hula - your wee boy does sound cute. Hope mine is too.. And that he's content with cousins as can't imagine going through all this again and not even half way..!
Seeking - hoping things still ok with you.
Hi to everyone else. I've a scan tomorrow and nervous as ever. X

Seekingmiracles · 17/06/2015 22:37

Yes sunny - that is me Blush I'm outed! Lol! Don't really care anymore if anyone knows who I am in RL. Hope you're enjoying your holiday Smile

Rosa - I hope you're scan tomorrow goes well, I'm sure it will all be prefect, but scary none the less! Good luck lovely!

Snoopy, glad work have recognised you're read to be back in work. Just do use on you and forget about the macho egos at work. You're recovery is the most important thing and you have to put you first! Look after yourself Hun.

Hula2 · 17/06/2015 23:29

Sunny - thanks for the tips on where to get the ovitrelle, better find the script dr s gave me and and go get some so i don t forget !

Drttc - what an awful time you ve been through, you re definetly going to need some serious chocolate, vino and trashy tv after that. Really hoping thats it for you and its all passed without need for any further intervention.

Trying - thanks for your kind works. I hope that little embie is snuggled in well and three in the frezzer is great. Hope you can sleep better (prob the dex isn t helping in that respect).

Snoopy - glad you haven t got to go back on the frontline, 5 mns will fly by so just use it to focus on you and dh and forget about all the crap at work.

Seeking - glad you survived your day back at work. Sometimes keeping busy is the best thing.

Rosa - hope everything goes well with the scan tomorrow and your little boy gives his mummy a wave. Keep us posted.

Well better get to bed, night night ladies.

Determined123 · 18/06/2015 11:20

Hi ladies...just checking in to say hi, sorry been awol, been so busy lately and then went away for a bit to see my lovely mum...so needed the break. Feel loads better!

Catching up on the comments (so much has happened) I just wanted to send my thoughts out to those who haven't had such good news...I'm thinking of you and it will get better...as sht as it is right now...keep positive, look after yourself and keep going! I KNOW we will ALL get there in the end! Just a shame it's such a f*kd up unfair roller coaster ride!!

Trying sending you all my positivity in the world for the next few days.I have such a lovely excited feeling for you!!

TTC'rs...hopefully I will be joining you all very very soon...it's been a 6 month break and now I'm ready to smash this RMC lark to bits!! (Fighting talk eh Smile ) Just got a couple more tests to have and then I will know next steps...

Hugs to all you lovely lot Flowers xxx

Drttc · 18/06/2015 14:29

Hi ladies!

Feeling much better physically (now it's just like a bad period). Bit of a tough week professionally as well which hasn't help. Someone has decided they were going to be unreasonably hard on me (going out of their way even!), while unaware of what I've been dealing with. I'm hoping I'll be coming out of that situation okay but I'm still waiting on them to budge!

Hula- wine is defo on the cards this weekend!

Seeking, I'm on not twitter... Should I be?! Lol :-P

Hope embie is settling in well, Trying!

Good luck with your scan, Rosa!

Hubby has been really torn up by everything and has asked for a month break from ttc! I we agreed on not trying but not preventing... Which means no treatment or pregnancy tests this next cycle. I'm a bit confused as to what I think will happen next... Can't imagine ever having a healthy pregnancy at this point! Three bad pregnancies in one year just makes me think there's something more than NK cells happening... I need a good egg!

Drttc · 18/06/2015 14:30

And good luck Determined!! You seem fired up for this :)

Seekingmiracles · 18/06/2015 14:35

You're not missing much by not being on Twitter Drttc! Lol!
I think you should prob just let your cycle sort itself out after all your body has been through this week. We're doing. The same, just gonna have sex when we want not time it, no ops. Just take a month off from it all.... Although that's what we were doing when we fell pregnant last time!

Glad you're all fired up Determined! There's gonna be a few of us all systems go with ttc!!

Rosa27 · 18/06/2015 14:41

Hi all - just a wee update from me.. Scan went well so 14.5 weeks now. Still anxious and still can't quite believe it but my head tells me this is good and Mr S is indeed amazing.
Welcome back Determined - great to hear the fighting talk :) x
