Hi lovelies,

We have been at a friend's birthday barbeque this afternoon.

Frog, good luck with the revision. You have my sympathy!

Spinning, it is so good to have you back. Smile Is Spanish hard to learn?

Pixa, I really hope DH's results are good, but I have no doubt that whatever happens, you & DH will be ok. You seem to have such a strong relationship.

Nympho, you dirty woman! Grin

Robot, I am sorry, but I don't think you have OVd yet. Hopefully it will happen in the next day or two.

Eskimo, the best advice I was ever given regardig Clomid is to take it at night. It really lessens the side effects. Also, I found it gave me killer headaches the first couple of months. I also get hot flushes & after OV get crazily tender boobs, backache & weird aches & pains in my ovaries. The first month on it I was convinced I was PG, as I had so many signs. You might not get these, but I just wanted to warn you.

frogbubbles · 14/06/2015 19:20

Ha ha rainy the curse of having a Costco card!!

Spins it is really really really lovely to see you here. How long are the students with you?

Flo, I do that all the time!! We went to see ghost the musical and when looking in the programme I said who's Oda May and where the watermelon. Oh dear. Hashtag "swayzefail"

How was snow dogs? Any good? Better than eight below heehee?? Speaking of dogs what puppy are you getting sammy? I'm totally jealous and would happily swap you for two wire munching naughty bunnies!! Smile

Lucie good luck, sending of positive vibes your way. Not long now lovely

Nymph nice work on the shower shagging. Pug this boring bit will be over soon and you can get busy Smile

Mummy yay for the true positive. I'm glad you have lots of lovely things planned, and you have your lovely family round you. Smile

frogbubbles · 14/06/2015 19:36

Thanks Nom hope you've had a lovely afternoon Smile

HopesUpKnickersDown · 14/06/2015 19:47

Hi everyone,

Crikey you've all been chatty today!

Mummy my friend retrained as a midwife 5 years ago and she absolutely loves it. She's now a community midwife working from my dr's surgery so if I do manage to get up duffed she could be my midwife. On one hand it will be great to have personal access to a midwife 24/7 but on the other hand it could be awks if I had stitches, don't fancy showing her my vag! (Not that there's anything exceptional or odd about it I might add). Good news about positive opk and I'm glad to hear you've had a good day. Smile

Robot please do shout at me on here and on Facebook! I did my Davina DVD workout today so feeling determined. I'm off to Halkidiki and I can't wait! I think some time away cut off from my ttc gear will do me the world of good. I must NOT pack my thermometer or sticks!...I will delete FF while I'm away too, I don't want her giving me a hard time and useless feckin tidbits whilst I'm on my holibobs. Hope you had a lovely MIL birthday lunch. Seems like it was CoC all round last night (I relented)... Good work ladies ??

Honey I'm in Worcestershire so probably not too far from you!

Spinning good to see you back on board, I joined the bus very recently but have been a lurker/stalker on the threads since the beginning of the year so feel I know you. Glad to hear you're doing well. Smile

Pixa, good to see you, there is no dog more hard work than Milo, he chews/eats absolutely everything so is an absolute menace!...but I do love him. It sounds like you and DH have an amazing relationship and I'm certain you'll help get each through whatever twists and turns your ttc journey takes you. You are right, you will get your family...and what a lovely supportive family it will be.

Frog, I really admire you studying to become a social worker, I'm sure it will be third time lucky! Hope the revision has gone well today. Get implanting that bean! I hope you've got your bunny under control Wink

Waves back to 'horny face' Eskimo! I absolutely love Eight Below, ones of my faves...Paul Walker and dogs, a definite winner for me! Your conversation did make me chuckle ??

DizzyM I really do hope your appointment come through quickly.

Rainy you are clearly the Bumsnet sex pest, quite an honour!

Lucie not long to wait! I will be keeping everything crossed for you.

Nympho glad you had a lovely break...sex in a caravan shower?!... You deserve a medal..or a bfp at the very least! Wink

Don't panic Robot, it may just be too soon, I've ov'd on cd18 before, I'd carry on testing twice daily. Best times to test are after 11am and before 8pm.

Sammy I'm struggling to catch up on one day! Good news that you think you ov'd today!

Pug I'm at the same boring stage as you, someone wake me up at cd13 please ??. I'm a stones throw from the cotwolds...you may hear me bellowing commands at DH if the wind is blowing in the right direction!

Nomio glad the weather was kind to you for your friends bbq, hope you had a nice time.

I've had a lovely day, feeling refreshed ready for another week at work...umm no I'm not actually. ??

loopylou1984 · 14/06/2015 19:53

Frog - a lurcher puppy! But not for another 10 weeks sadly.xx

Mummyofonesofar · 14/06/2015 20:12

hopes dp is just worried about shifts etc but as a community midwife you can do 8-4 plus the odd home birth so would be ideal! I'm not sure I could have a friend checking my hoo-ha either. Would be a bit weird! Saying that I have meetings with GPs one is which has seen mine but obviously is very professional! Pic from today attach

Bumsnet- you would be amazed at where we stick our thermometers to help us get our BFP's
HopesUpKnickersDown · 14/06/2015 20:22

Mummy what a view, great pic! The shifts when she was working in a hospital were pretty unsociable and I know it was hard going on her family life but it's great now she's made it to community Smile

megarobotdiscoparty · 14/06/2015 20:26

Thank you pug and Sammy for saving me from a right tizzy! Hadn't thought that levels might be higher in the morning. All opks apart from the darkest one are early evening - the one that looked hopeful was a cheeky 2nd wee of the morning (which I did to see if it was still rising). So maybe it's still building up and I'm just not quite there yet. Fingers crossed. I will be reeling if I don't ovulate this cycle - feel like it has so many knock on consequences. I am always happiest living in hope (hence my aversion to poas-ing when it comes to test day! I am a poas-o-phobe).

Rainy good luck my love - if you did it before it means you can do it again! Having a date or event in mind always helps I think.

Waves to spinning! Nice to meet you!

frog sorry about frog bunny but ohsocute! Your Disney chat inspired us, we watched Toy Story this afternoon Grin

eskimo this sounds exactly like the dizzy kind of thing I would do. Good work!

lucie I didn't know your story before but sounds like a really exciting time for you. Hope you will keep us updated.

nympho glad to see you're living up to your new name! Cor, these Bumsnet showers are becoming a bit of a thing aren't they?? A caravan shower sounds positively acrobatic...

mummy your day sounds divine and a perfect way to keep your mind off the milestone. Hope you're getting in some CoC right now!

Pug patented Bumsnet fast forward button for the boring bits please! Not long to go til stick weeing though...

Sammyshakes eep! Get on it/him my love Grin

Hi nomio hope the weather held for the barbecue! Nothing worse than a soggy sausage.

knickers drop and give me ten! Sounds like you're in the training zone, stay on it. Very envious - it will be scorchio over there. Definitely no charting allowed! (Side note: I have never Davina'd in my life, I must be the only person on the planet who hasn't) I ov'd cd18 on my one other ovulation so holding out for that... think I flummoxed myself by opking too early in the day!

Hope you're all enjoying your Sundays ladies, thanks for saving me from a total freak out. Worth your weight in gold, the lot of ya!

Pixa · 14/06/2015 20:29

Eskimo Non TTC sex is amazing. I was left frustrated last night when DH selfishly 'finished' before I did, I gave him ten minutes and then made him finish the job he started. Grin On a side, I love Lady and the Tramp. Fingers crossed that the withdrawal bleed comes as expected.

Robot thank you, you are so right, part of me things that getting medical help feels like the very beginning of a long hard slog, but we may be very almost there! How are you feeling? I am on the app so I can't see your OV picture, sorry!

Thanks DizzyM as much as I wouldn't wish this upon anyone, it's nice to know we are not alone. I really appreciate the support! Your work sounds very interesting. Have you decided which Disney film to watch? I would watch one tonight too but it's Humans tonight and I have been so excited about seeing it!

Rainy I am always like that with shopping!

Frog Sorry to hear you have a naughty bunbun on your hands! Which book was it?

Please do jump back on Spinning, you have been missed!

Lucie, I really hope the time passes quickly for you.

Nympho Yay for shower quickies!

Mummy sounds like a beautiful day!

Sammy, I will try rocking tomorrow and see what happens. Grin Trying most thing this month, changed my vitamins and supplements as part of my research, stopped temping and OPKs, noticed a huge rise in the amount of EWCM this month, may as well try the rocking as well. Ha ha.

ThePug DH will get his results later this week. I work flexibly and I am agile too so will be able to work from home or the most appropriate office on the day. I had that picture in my head too, a bit like 24 where he was racing against the clock. He was mega pissed off at the hospital though. He spoke to the receptionist discreetly, and so she then pretty much shouted and related the information to her colleague on the other side of reception. They should know it's quite embarrassing and not to shout that stuff across the office. Bless him. I am really lucky that he is really proactive with this stuff, I get how hard it can be. Just think, the boring bit of the cycle is still easier than the two week wait!

Nomio Envious that you had weather good enough to be at a bbq, it's rained all weekend here.

Knickers Thank you. Have you got any tips for considering dog ownership? Pleased you have had a lovely day!

Mummy lovely pic!

Can't thank you all enough for your support, truly overwhelmed and a bit speechless really!

We have been debating getting a dog, we have a spreadsheet and everything. We think we have most considerations covered but can't pick the right breed for us. There would be two days where we wouldn't be in the house due to work, we can work from home between us three days a week so we would hire a dog walker for those two days. The research says if they're left alone for no longer than four hours, it will be fine, but what do all the dog owners on here think? I would love your advice!

spinningirl10 · 14/06/2015 20:39

Sammy, ooh it's not long for you then. Hope the appointment goes well for you next week.
Here are dp's results:
feb test:
13 million
Motility 1.2 million
Morphology 5%

May test:
102 million
43% motility

I think learning any language is hard! I lived in Spain for 2 years about 5 years ago. I can get by but I really want to be fluent and I think if I can get to grip with the verbs I'll be doing ok! I know the present tense but any further than that I get confused Smile

Pixa, how are you? Did dh have his SA?

spinningirl10 · 14/06/2015 20:44

Ahh thank you for the warm welcome back, I've missed you allSmile
And thank you hopesupknickersdown. I hope your stay on this bus is shortWink

Frog, these students are here for 2 weeks. They're lovely boys but speak very little english! We're off to Glastonbury so I'm hoping my Mum will come and stay with them while we're away. We have students more or less constantly now until the end of August and then we're back to Tenerife!

Mummyofonesofar · 14/06/2015 20:45

pixa we have a lab. She is left alone 9 hours a day (some people will now lynch me). As long as she has a good walk she is fine and such great family dogs too.

loopylou1984 · 14/06/2015 20:45

Mega - it's ok, we did it last night and are on track for tonight too!

Pixa - I'm so excited about Humans!
And I'd say as long as the dog gets out once it's fine. A dog walker two days a week shouldn't be too expensive. Xx

spinningirl10 · 14/06/2015 20:47

And also thank you to MegaRobot, hello to youGrin

loopylou1984 · 14/06/2015 20:47

Spinning - thank you, had the morph improved at all by the may one? That's the only bit that has ever been slightly low for dh. Xx

lucieloos · 14/06/2015 20:51

Thanks everyone, I can't believe myself that we are getting ready to go through it all again! We have changed a few things this time and added in some new medication so will see if it helps at all. Pug, I would be more than happy to share the snapshots of my little embryos if we get that far again! DH is not coming at all this time spinning Hmm He doesn't get much annual leave so won't be able to come. He had a sample frozen last time incase we needed to go again. My mum is going to come with me this time. I will miss DH a lot but will be nice to spend some time with my mum too.

megarobotdiscoparty · 14/06/2015 20:53

DH and I had both totally forgotten about Humans - thanks for the reminder pixa!

DizzyMerry · 14/06/2015 21:05

It's good to see you back on here spinning.

Not long to go now lucie. Wishing you all the best for this round.

Well SIL organised a last minute BBQ but unfortunately DH and DD had to go without me because I had an awful migraine and have been in bed trying to sleep it off. Had to get DH to drive me back when we were half way there.

fififolle · 14/06/2015 21:06

Mummy yay for ov! It sounds like you had a great day in the lakes.

Snowberry86 · 14/06/2015 21:17

CD4 here- really hoping this is the one. Been ttc for 14 months and thoroughly fed up. Still waiting for appointment at fertility clinic and all tests so far been normal so not sure why I'm not ovulating regularly. I also have a very short cycle (usually about 22 days) which isn't helping.

spinningirl10 · 14/06/2015 21:30

Sammy the morph was the same but she said that was fine. She was very surprised at the turn around and wanted to know what vits he'd been takingSmile

Lucie, ah it's a shame that dh can't go with you but nice that you'll have your Mum there. I hope the things you've changed do the trick for you.

Pixa · 14/06/2015 21:34

Spinning I love learning languages. Best of luck with Spanish! I am good thanks, DH did have his SA and we are waiting for results. Doctor has said a week at most for them to come in.

Thanks for the advice Mummy, I will put lab on the breeds to consider list.

Sammy and Robot, I am loving Humans so far, what do you think?

DizzyMerry Sorry to heat about your migraine, hope you are feeling much better now.

Nomio230 · 14/06/2015 21:36

I didn't realise Humans was on tonight. I will have to find it on catch up. It looks really interesting.

Mummy, yay for OV!

Lucie, I will have my fingers firmly crossed for you. I really hope it works this time.

HopesUpKnickersDown · 14/06/2015 21:43

Robot fx for a cd18 ov, I'm rooting for you! I too am happiest living in hope but my short LP doesn't give me long to live the dream before it's snatched away again ??. Thanks for the motivation...I'm not a davina fan but it was her or that daft bint off Geordie Shores, Davina won hands down!

Pixa have you got a rescue centre close by? They're usually really good at matching dogs to owners. I thought a King Charles would be a laid back breed but in hindsight a trio of Rottweilers may have been easier. Milo is looking a bit sorry for himself this evening, the last he looked like this he'd found and unwrapped one of DH's birthday presents...a kg bar of toblerone, we had to rush him to the vets for an emergency stomach pump...it was like a scene from a horror film. I keep going round the house trying to work out what's missing ??. A few other things he's eaten include a dyson Hoover, an iPhone 5, a dining room table and chairs...you can't take your eyes off him for a second. I conclude that babies are far easier than dogs. Smile

Thanks spinning Smile Good luck with the Spanish!

Lucie that's a shame your DH can't go too but I'm glad your mum will be there to hold your hand.

DizzyM sorry to hear about your migraine, hope you're feeling better Thanks

Snowberry sorry you're feeling so fed up. I really hope your appointment comes through soon to give you a boost.

What's is Humans all about then?

Pixa · 14/06/2015 21:50

Unfortunately Knickers, DH wouldn't entertain the idea of a rescue dog, unless it was a pup. If we weren't TTCing it would be different, but if we are having a baby, it's key that safety is a high priority, so knowing the pups background would be the best way. How has he eaten so much? Emergency stomach pumps are not fun, my friends little doggie ate grapes... It was horrific and scary at the time, but all is well now.

You need to watch Humans, it's about robots essentially that are bought to do things like house work or manual labour.
