8 days today

ThePug · 12/06/2015 18:28

Yay, it's the weekend!

Queen I was going to say how fast the last two weeks must have gone but now see you got your maths wrong. Are you still fairly recently off the pill? How many normal length cycles have you had? Hope the GP can sort you out somehow though, I know how frustrating it is seeing the cycle days go up and up with nothing to show for it.

DizzyM Woah that's a lot of money for a test! I hope the other place gives you a more reasonable quote. Did you request the sedation or did the first place just recommend it?

DizzyN Lovely to have you back on here Smile And that's good you've at least got an appointment booked in now. I'm not sure the nurse would do tests unless a doctor has ordered them either, so probably best to start with the doctor and see what they say.

sammy is your opk positive yet? And more importantly, have you been to see the puppies today? We need a daily PUpdate.

Mummy What is 'up the fells'? It sounds very outward-bounds! I hope you won't get too wet. The weather down south has gone from hot and sunny to rainy and muggy too Sad . Any sign of your opks darkening yet? So pleased to see you are feeling a lot brighter.

Pixa How did the appt go?

Boris Is your DH going camping too? I hope you have comfy air mattresses! And that it doesn't rain all weekend

nomio How was the hangover this morning? Grin Have you managed to sort anything with your car yet?

Eskimo Emily in her pjs snuggled up in a tent is just about the best photo I've ever seen.

CD5 here so nothing interesting to report.

woodpigeon123 · 12/06/2015 18:39

Hello,

Has anyone had a laparoscopy? I've just been told I need to have one and would love to hear from anyone else has had one about how it went....

Big hugs,
xxx

Hairstylisttoboris · 12/06/2015 18:41

Well I was due to get the train from work to our weekend away camping but missed it. Now in dog house with DH who is already there having had the car today. Bring on the petty argument. Bloody fantastic start by me.

Hairstylisttoboris · 12/06/2015 18:42

Sorry wood, no I haven't but sure someone here has (not sure who tho).

chopsface · 12/06/2015 18:48

dizzy when you get bloods done for fertility they need to be cd21 (or 7 days before af) and between cd2-5. They don't need to be in the same cycle. The steps after that would be ultrasound and then hsg. Good luck!

merry sorry about dh's results hun. He definitely should have a comparison one in 3 months though in case the results were due to illness or other factors. My dh's lowest morph was 2% and we've bumped it up to 6% the month before our bfp. Dh was taking Wellman and vit C and had given up caffeine and hardly drank alcohol. Fingers crossed it was a one off

Good luck this cycle to everyone else!

Pikz · 12/06/2015 19:19

Oh dear boris... Get wine

Wood pigeon. I've had two laps.. What do you want to know?

Off to catch up

DizzyMerry · 12/06/2015 19:36

Pug I requested sedation due to my last HSG experience but I wasn't expecting it to cost and extra £200!

Thanks chops I'm hoping we can also improve his levels with vitamins. He's started on the wellman conception vits and 1000mg vit c alone with 200mg coq10. Hoping it works with us too.

Boris these things happen so tell him to wind his neck in if he starts.

Sammy I've had day 21 bloods and DH has just had his SA results so hopefully we can get away without having a consultation.

DizzyMerry · 12/06/2015 19:40

Wood I've had two laps. One for diagnostic purposes and the other to clear the endo. There's not much to them really. Obviously you'll have them under anaesthetic and the surgeon should speak to you about their findings once your back on the ward. The nurses will ensure you can keep food and liquid down and be able to have a wee before they let you leave. Recovery for me was a couple of days with the first but a week with the second one. You will then be sent another appointment to discuss next steps with your consultant.

woodpigeon123 · 12/06/2015 20:07

Thank you Dizzy and Pikz... I'm just a bit nervous about it all I think.

Saw a fertility consultant today after my GP referral and they said I needed a laparoscopy as one of my blood tests indicated a possible infection.

Just a bit scared of it all xxx

megarobotdiscoparty · 12/06/2015 20:12

Oh boris Sad Fx you get there and have such a wonderful weekend that all is forgotten!

Hello pug! Do you have a restful weekend planned with your gorgeous pup after your busy working week?

Queen Flowers for you. It's a slog. You're doing marvellously though.

merry woah on the money. Really hope you hear back from the other clinic soon. Sounds promising from sammy's experience. Do they just make these prices up?? How can there be such a big discrepancy?

mummy our barbecue has been cancelled now too unsurprisingly. Going to attempt a food festival instead (thankfully indoors) Have a lovely weekend. Being taken up the fells sounds v exciting (tee hee)

sammy hope you've got your frisky knicks on tonight then. No excuses from mister! CoC here too, we're on a similar eod arrangement although Cd14 and my opks aren't even giving evap lines now - the blankness of them is highly depressing!

northern game on for your appointment! Good work getting on it.

How is the lovely knickers today?

Total baby bomb from a friend on FB just now - 2nd baby which is my achilles heel. Was being all brave and left a nice comment, then mutual friend (who knows about my MC) texted immediately afterwards sending me a big kiss and a squeeze and I cried everywhere like a big pansy! Very lucky to have her.

Queenbee30 · 12/06/2015 20:14

You're all too lovely. With the parents, but just wanted to tell you all that x

DizzyMerry · 12/06/2015 20:17

I was scared too wood but the whole team were lovely, chatting away to me before the anaesthetic kicked in. When I came round after the second op a lovely nurse was stroking my hair. She missed her lunch because she was looking after me and wouldn't do the takeover as she waiting for me to come round to make sure I was ok before she left me. It always makes me smile whenever I think about it. Anyway the procedure will last about 30 minutes but slightly longer if they need to treat something minor. My second took almost 2 hours but I had severe endo which needed clearing.

woodpigeon123 · 12/06/2015 20:33

Oh Dizzy thank you for saying that.... I hope I get a lovely nurse too xxxx

ThePug · 12/06/2015 20:39

Oh wow what a lovely nurse DizzyM - was that on the NHS?

wood I'm sure it is scary to be told you need a procedure but at the same time there is a massive positive in that the doctors are looking into something and may well be able to sort it out and get you nearer to your BFP. I know nothing about the procedure so can't offer any practical advice. Can an infection not be treated with meds rather than an op (or is the op to check if the infection has caused damage?) Have they advised how soon it is likely to be?

Boris Are you safely on the train/at your destination by now? If you were late coming from work it was hardly your fault! I hope DH decided to not be a knob but rather welcome you with a Wine after your hard day at work and elongated journey

Hi mega ! I am planning on spending the weekend in bed if possible! Last weekend I woke up early both days because I was too excited about taking my temp like an idiot but no such excitement this weekend. Are your opks completely blank now then? Might you have missed a surge? Sorry for the babybomb but sounds like your other friend is just lovely.

Rainy34 · 12/06/2015 20:41

Fifi Congratulations, hoping for a sticky bean xx

Dizzy sorry the results did not come back great, DH had his test results on Monday and his were not great either!!

I have not been on here much in the last few days, I went for a long walk with a new friend that i have met, she is in the same postion as me thought she has been ttc for two years, it is really nice to have somemone in the same postion and be able to talk about it,

hope you all have a lovely weekend and the weather is good to us all, will promise to be more active on here xx

DizzyMerry · 12/06/2015 20:48

Yes pug it was on the NHS.

Sorry for the baby bomb robot but yay for lovely friend. We all need one of those.

I met a friend of MIL today whilst shopping. Apparently as I already have a DD I should now try for a boy! What an utter knob. I just replied we'd try for a baby when we decide the time is right for us and the sex of baby doesn't even come into it Angry

DizzyMerry · 12/06/2015 20:50

Sorry your DH's results weren't too good either rainy. Hopefully you can also take the advice given to me by this lovely lot to improve his levels.

woodpigeon123 · 12/06/2015 21:02

ThePug yes, they are looking to see if a possible infection has caused any blockages...

I think I was just a bit naive as I was expecting them to chat to me about next steps, but I wasn't prepared for them to say I needed a little operation! Silly, I know x

HopesUpKnickersDown · 12/06/2015 21:08

Sorry to join the party late, was having a mare at work which I had to sort so a late finish.

Queen I'm so glad you've got family staying with you to take your mind off things. Don't go awol on us, we're all here for you with a huge bottle of gin and I'm sure your naughty missing AF will turn up soon.

Loving all the doggies in pj's pics. If my boys had outfits they'd be very camp and made of leather...or rubber. #gaydogs

DizzyN glad you've finished your last shift for the week, hope you get to chill out this weekend before your busy week ahead. Well done for getting the ball rolling with your GP, taking into account the law of sod I'm sure it will invoke a BFP!

Sammy it's game on tonight, don't let him get away!

DizzyM can't believe those prices, shame they don't do group discounts seeing as we're all being so proactive!

Nomio any news on your poor car?

Sorry you missed your train Boris, what a bummer! Hope you don't end up having to spend tonight in your own nice warm rather than a damp sleeping bag ??

Robot so sorry for the baby bomb, sending you a squeeze from me. I've had one today and it's made my heart literally ache ??

Sorry for those who have had their weekend plans ruined by shitty weather. Pug I hope you manage to get some serious duvet hours in.

Rainy glad you've got a new friend in the same position, it's good to have someone to talk to who understands.

All uneventful here, pissed on a opk because I'm having withdrawal symptoms and my new gear has arrived, nothing doing but no surprise there.

Waves to everyone else on the bus, hope everyone has a great weekend??

Mummyofonesofar · 12/06/2015 21:32

Pug - up the fells - big old hills! We live in the Lake District, plenty of fells around here to climb. Lived here 2 years and only been up one big hill. Found a walk that's about 2-3 hours so should be good. Make the roast at the end well earned.

mega you're cheeky. Who else can make up the fells sound naughty lol!

megarobotdiscoparty · 12/06/2015 21:40

knickers sorry for the bombing. It's wretched and it hurts. Keep telling yourself that your baby is the best one of all and they're waiting for you down the line. They are!

Wheee snuggle up Pug that sounds like heaven and well deserved! I really hope I havent missed it....have been opk-ing since cd10 and (if I do ov, which I often don't) it tends to be later rather than earlier. So technically I am still on track...However there was a very faint line on cd10 which has got gradually fainter and today has completely vanished. Hoping it's just some other factor and not the last traces of a freaky early ovulation!

megarobotdiscoparty · 12/06/2015 21:42

Cross post mummy! Envious of living somewhere so beautiful, I love the Lakes. Have a lovely Sunday!

HopesUpKnickersDown · 12/06/2015 21:46

Mummy have location envy too, what a beautiful place to live Smile

DizzyMerry · 12/06/2015 21:48

Mummy my cousin lives in the Lake District. Had planned to visit her last weekend but DH had work. Beautiful place.
