Definitely triplet, Fifi!

The insurance company want to write off the car. They claim it would be uneconomical to repair. Sad I am so annoyed. I only just got it, plus have had the air con done & bought new bits & bobs for it. Aaaaargh! All because some idiot woman swerved into the wrong lane. Angry

Sorry, rant over.

HopesUpKnickersDown · 11/06/2015 16:49

Congratulations Fifi!!! Grin??

ibeka · 11/06/2015 17:48

Congratulations Fifi!

Nomio, so sorry about the car. It sucks. My first car was written off by someone on the motorway and I didn't get enough money to replace it properly, the second one was a shit heap!! Hope you find something decent.

Dizzy what a relief for your and DH.

eskimoflo · 11/06/2015 18:07

fifi! I'm over the moon for you! Congratulations! Grin

Boris Sorry to hear about your DH. Hope he is feeling better soon Flowers

Queen I can sympathise with the limbo situation. Hope you won't have to wait much longer. Flowers

ibeka Yay for the temp rise. Glad the chant worked Wink

Northern and Merry Glad you liked the diagram. It's actually a full size model that they have in the Natural History Museum and, unfortunately, the photo doesn't capture the best feature: there are little red LED lights that follow the sperms' journey when a button is pressed! It really is a thing of beauty.

Northern I was thinking about your comment about rolling over onto tummy from back and it reminded me of lions... whenever you watch lions shagging ont' telly box, you always see the female roll around afterwards on her back. I did try and Google a clip for you all, but after typing the words 'lioness after mating' into Google, it seems the most popular results are about how female lions regularly give 'oral' sex in order to get their male friends in the mood. You never see that on Attenborough do you? Confused

Merry Good news about the SA results! Grin

Nomio Really sorry about your car Sad I remember you posting the photos here and on FB when you got it. Rubbish situation Flowers

Here are the pics of my DIPs (Dogs in Pyjamas). It's quite an old pic, they are a lot more grey around the edges, bless them, but you get the idea! Grin

Nomio what Cat is it? C or D? Can you keep it, get a cash in lieu payment and repair it?

HopesUpKnickersDown · 11/06/2015 19:16

Boris sorry to hear about DH's accident but good news he wasn't injured too badly. I really feel for you about your best friend pregnancy, must be really hard for you...best friend baby bombs must be the absolute pits. ??

Queen I'm sending you my sympathies and a large gin. ?? Do you want me to organise an AF chant?...the OV chant worked....hurray for temp rise Ibeka!

Robot don't remind me CoC season is approaching, I'm exhausted just thinking about it! DH's list of jobs tonight are: washing up, put the bin out, clean the pipes

DizzyN hope you have a lovely weekend with your doggy. Interesting theory regarding the bits and pieces diagram, I plan to study it again in more detail later...you could be onto something.

DizzyM...you referred to 'when you were a POAS addict'....how did you get clean? Rehab? Fab new about DH's results, so pleased for you. Smile

Nomio sorry your car got assaulted by an idiot driver. Such a shame when you've only had it 6 weeks ??

Mummy glad to hear your new thermometer has arrived and is looking more reliable than your old one...hope it's a lucky one for you!

Fifi triplets!!! how exciting! ??????

Eskimo, I'm prepared to be a guinea pig, I'll try fop (face on pillow) instead of bop and report back.

Cd 6 ??

HopesUpKnickersDown · 11/06/2015 19:43

Eskimo love your dogs in their pj's...do you and DH have to sit on the floor while they lounge on the sofa ??

ibeka · 11/06/2015 20:15

Yes, knickers, good idea.... eskimo, be a love and find us a suitable AF chant for poor old queen...

DizzyMerry · 11/06/2015 20:31

Right, before I catch up with you all I would be grateful for some advice about DH's sperm results as they're not too good after all. I'll post a pic of the results as I really don't understand SA at all. The consultant seems to think we have male factor infertility. He seems to think my endo and low progesterone have no bearings at all and wouldn't stop me conceiving. He also said because I'm slim my temps won't really go up much. I don't believe that one bit and I think he was just pushing for IVF. Advice from you lovely lot would be appreciated as I'm at a loss. It's a complete u turn from female to make fertility issues.

HopesUpKnickersDown · 11/06/2015 20:58

DizzyM I'm afraid I'm no help to you but I hope someone comes along soon. How confusing for you both ??

lucieloos · 11/06/2015 21:15

Hi Dizzy, your test overall doesn't look to bad but the morphology is 0% whereas it should be at least 4%. The morphology is all about the size and shape of the sperm. If the sperm is an abnormal size or shape then it can affect its ability to get to the egg and / or penetrate it. It's quite common for morphology to vary from month to month so they should have advised you to book in for a retest in about 3 months time. There are vitamins you can try in the meantime to boost your dhs morphology. The main ones are a good conception multi vit, 1000mg vitamin c, 15mg zinc and also sometimes Coenzyme q10 can help.

eskimoflo · 11/06/2015 21:23

Hold on... Dizzy Whaaaat? I thought you said that the SA was ok? I don't know anything about numbers either I'm afraid. Hope someone can help you soon.

ibeka Having not had AF for 7 months since coming off the pill, I'm not sure that I'm the best person to ask! Hmm Ok... how about this?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAUxC1xhpzA

DizzyMerry · 11/06/2015 21:27

Thanks hopes.

That's reassuring to know lucie. We have all those vits so he will need to commit to taking them on a daily basis. He didn't advise about retesting but we're willing to give it another 3 months before thinking seriously about IVF.

DizzyMerry · 11/06/2015 21:29

Eskimo that's what the GP said to DH during the tel consultation but he got the printout and we showed it to the consultant who interpreted the results to us

loopylou1984 · 11/06/2015 21:30

DizzyM - the morphology score is not good. However as Lucy says it can vary wildly especially if dh was unwell 3 months or so ago?
Even if that is his normal result it doesn't actually mean there aren't any normal ones as of course they only look at a sample. There have been stories if people getting BFPs with low morphology scores (chops), and even some BFPs from 0% morph scores. Don't lose hope. Xx

nightandthelight · 11/06/2015 21:32

heir got a bfp from 0% morphology I believe!

ibeka · 11/06/2015 21:33

eskimo clearly you have just solved the missing AF problem for you AND queen. If we all hold hands and chant together.... Incidentally, how's it going with the meds?

dizzy sorry that must be worrying. I don't know much but I do know my friend's husband had 1% morphology. He took WellMan every day and stopped using laptops or keeping phones in his pocket and three months later it was 5%. I know lucie is right too, it varies. I think purdie had her DH on some combo that greatly improved his SA? How is DH?

loopylou1984 · 11/06/2015 21:33

We went to see the puppies again tonight, I love them so much!!

It's CoC here tonight so off to seduce mrSammylou...xx

eskimoflo · 11/06/2015 21:36

Merry I really hope that you have been reassured at least a little bit by Sammy and Lucie even though the results weren't as hoped. It must have been such a shock. I think that you may be onto something when you say that he was pushing for IVF. It sounds like he doesn't want to consider vitamins or temping etc. Really hope that you're ok Flowers

eskimoflo · 11/06/2015 21:39

ibeka Last day of progesterone pills today, and then should be around 5 days' wait for a bleed. Will start taking the clomid on either cd2 or cd3; not sure which yet! Smile

fififolle · 11/06/2015 21:55

Dizzy what a shame about the SA results, at least it gives you some answers and something that you can work on. In addition to the recommended vitamins I'd say to get your DH to wear loose pants and avoid hot baths. There have been some good success stories from people on here with similar results, it'll be you too before you know it.

DizzyMerry · 11/06/2015 21:56

Thanks everyone for your lovely words and advice. Will get him on to the vits and hope for the best.

Ibeka DH is fine. We've been through fertility issues for too long to be really fazed by anything now. It was just confusing as we were under the impression that his results were all good.

I suppose I didn't like the fact that he said we would be best going for IVF. I'm more than willing to try other things before thinking about IVF.

HopesUpKnickersDown · 11/06/2015 21:58

Hope Lucie and Sammy have reassured you Dizzy.

Hmmm, might try DH on Wellman...

Bumsnet AF chant?

Bumsnet- you would be amazed at where we stick our thermometers to help us get our BFP's
DizzyMerry · 11/06/2015 22:04

Sammy I can't think of any reason why his morphology is 0% he's been fit and well. The only thing that crossed my mind was that we were to abstain from sex for at least 2 days but we both forgot about the SA appointment so carried on ttc. I still don't think this would cause it.

Fifi he always wears loose pants and always showers. The only other thing could be laptop as he had assignments to do the last few months.

loopylou1984 · 11/06/2015 22:05

Dizzy - I felt miffed when we were told IVF too, especially as ours is unexplained. But now that we're at cycle 20 I'm glad they're being proactive... Even if it is because we're paying them! Remind me, how long have you been trying? Xx ps. Get dh on Brazil nuts, 2 or 3 a day - meant to work wonders! Xx
