found you! thanks diamond for directions and haquoi for new bus! fx it brings us all luck.

I'll repost what I put on old page - was wondering why it was soo quiet!

I'm 8dpo and itching to poas!! like why... its not going to tell me anything. fed up waiting Angry most likely ain't even implanted yet! I'm away from Fri , 10dpo and considering if I should poas before I go. although only 10% of pregnancies picked up that early! am back day AF is due so I should just wait until then

birchygoo · 03/06/2015 22:32

red that is incorrect information! of course its always best not to take meds but I have a skin condition were I suffer a lot with itching. I take neoclaritin for it everyday. gp looked up his medical drug book and no reports of abnormalities caused by it. he says they are normally pretty hot on these things as well. see gp for better advice - silly pharmacy!!

my updated stats #30 TTC #1 cycle 7/8 bfp due ,9/10 June - I wanna test now though so bad - like a child waiting for xmas!! hope. its not a bag of coal tho! Hmm

birchygoo · 03/06/2015 22:34

oh I mist also add that I keep trying to change things about. I read antihistamines reduce cervical mucus so have stopped taking them this month and it is driving me crazy!!! be worth it if it works tho.

someone up also asked about temping ... I'll get back to you on that just have to do lunches etc yuck!

birchygoo · 03/06/2015 23:17

hi red this was my first month temping so therefore only a no ice but I found it really helpful.

I am not very good at getting up at same time each day and I started by mouth temping so my chart was like the Andes. I use fertility friend (ff) app. then I got my peak ovulation reading from cbfm and day after my temp rose a small bit, then day after that another bit, then day after that it shot up! and has stayed up since. ff was able to tell me after 3 dpo when it happened - others get told sooner. its a good way of knowing ovulation has happened. then your temp falls back down again if AF comes - am hoping not to find that out though!

I'll change onto my phone and upload my chart for you!

sorry for the multiple posts everyone!

birchygoo · 03/06/2015 23:20

haquoi123 · 04/06/2015 07:17

That's cool birchy! I would have liked to have done more temping, it's so interesting!

mrsjoe she-oak is a bush remedy that is supposed to help with fertility. My reflexologist recommended it saying that although the 'science' behind it makes her raise her eyebrows, every woman she has ever had get pregnant has been taking she-oak and she always recommends it. She's a special fertility reflexologist and works with a lot of infertility (I didn't know that when I booked her! What luck!)

diamond I always say I'm not going to tell people but I can never keep my mouth shut! I also know I'll need all the support I can get when morning sickness hits. People will also find out if I miscarry. So, my mum, my sister, my two best friends and my grandparents (who aren't very well and I'd rather they know that not). DH tends to take his time about it but also blab to everyone when he gets more confident!

remember, sorry to hear about AF, but good that the GP is redoing the tests. Also congrats to your dp for his sterling results!! :)

red that pharmacist is an arsehole with a capital ARSE! Absolutely ignore them and talk to your GP. When I was pg last time around the GP gave me advice on antihistamines I could take for definite and others if they didn't work. I wanted to check the names with the pharmacist and she refused to sell them both to me. I had a go at her saying I was listening to advice from my GP, that I love my baby and wouldn't want to harm it, it was none of her damn business, how dare she treat me like an incompetent child! Suffice to say I walked out with the antihistamines but was really shaken and upset. No one has the right to lecture you, is your body and you're asking for advice not a law!!

Thanks to everyone for your congratulations xx

Hi all well i tested this morn and got a bfn :/ im due on today so either af will surprise me or its too early. Betting on the first tho! :/

haquoi123 · 04/06/2015 08:31

Sorry to hear that lovely Flowers like you say, could be too early

OP posts:
Lovelyjubbly95 · 04/06/2015 08:37

Well im only 12pdo too cos i ovulated late so is there still hope??

Red193 · 04/06/2015 08:55

Well he gave me some alternative medical advice which I have googled. Seems legit and I am going to give it a go this month of however by the end of the month it isn't working I am going to see the GP. I'm going to try Quercetin and Vitamin C. Can't hurt to give it a go.

findingmyfeet12 · 04/06/2015 09:14

Haquoi - your news is awesome! It made me get a bit teary for you. I hope you'll stay on the thread and tell us a bit about how it's going?

It's really made me feel a bit more positive so I'm going to try to cheer up a bit!

haquoi123 · 04/06/2015 09:20

Absolutely finding :) thankyou xx

red, in my book 12dpo is definitely too early - it took 3 weeks of bfns and no symptoms for my bfp to show up! AF is the only definite no x

OP posts:
haquoi123 · 04/06/2015 09:21

Sorry! lovely not red!

OP posts:
haquoi123 · 04/06/2015 09:22

red that's good that you got some useful information out of them

OP posts:
fuzzywuzzy · 04/06/2015 09:39

Lovely I agree with haquoi, you're not out till AF shows.

I was also BFN this morning and am also 11/12dpo, not due af till Saturday. body is doing weird things tho my general body temp is still slightly elevated (not as high as yesterday, I actually woke from nights sweats yesterday), had those pains in my side which come and go randomly now for the last few days but were all day on Tuesday and Monday morning (can't decide if they are signs of af or not), not much cm yesterday and breast aren't as tender as they were when I had the cp last month, but I always have tender breasts till day before af when it all goes and I know af will show within the next 24 hours.

Red, if your going down the alternative therapy route, locally sourced honey works well even chewing on honeycomb (again locally sourced to you), not sure how quickly and effectively it will work. But don't let the pharmacist upset you, I'd probably lose it in your shoes and ask him/her why she thought it was acceptable to bully a woman seeking advice, you're not exactly doing crack are you.

Lovelyjubbly95 · 04/06/2015 10:07

Thx haqoui and fuzzy, if no af by sat ill test again x

findingmyfeet12 · 04/06/2015 10:26

Are any of your dp's taking any supplements or making any lifestyle changes to improve your chances?

My dh has stopped drinking coffee and is drinking more water. I think I'll do a bit of research later to see what foods he should be eating more of etc.

Any advice or tips on this will be most welcome.

Lovelyjubbly95 · 04/06/2015 10:46

When me n dh fell preg in jan he had conveniently stopped all caffeine and high sugar content. He has done the same this time around too along with taking occasional wellman supplements. But caffeine is by far the worst.

fuzzywuzzy · 04/06/2015 11:17

DP as started taking a boots multi vitamin supplement (I have read that selenium and zinc is important for male fertility).

He started last week, due to feeling run down, so wont affect this cycle I don't think.

Otherwise he drinks coffee about three cups a day as cut down on diet coke. He smokes as well, but as I don't that as also gone down but he as not quit (wish he would).

diamondsparkles · 04/06/2015 12:33

Hi everyone! Smile
Welcome mrsjoe - good to hear from you, let us know how you're getting on.
Sorry to hear of bfn lovely but there's still time for your bfp.
Sorry to hear about your bfn too fuzzy but again there is still plenty of time for a bfp, sometimes there's just not enough hcg built up to show on a test early, fingers crossed.
finding - good to hear from you, I was teary too at haquoi 's news! No my dp hasn't given anything up however he has been losing a lot of weight recently and generally being more fit by running etc. having said that when I conceived ds he was several stone overweight and a smoker (he quit after ds was born) so not sure it makes any difference at all Confused
My update - cd20, don't think I ovulated this cycle or if I did it was very late and no dh around at the time anyway. Feel lousy with the cold from hell and now today a sore throat too - as if I need that too. Think af should arrive next week sometime - then start all over again. Dreading 13th June - that means it's been 1 year since ttc- a difficult milestone for me at my age - 37

DianaOstara · 04/06/2015 17:23

Hello new chatty thread! Thank you haquoi for setting up, sticking around and being our lucky mascot - I feel we've kicked off the new thread with a renewed positivity :). (also thank you and yes please to the she-oak - it sounds amazing and really fits with my new 'whole-body-and-mind' approach)

hewy thank you for your lovely words of positivity! I was feeling quite stressed earlier in the week due to lack of dtd opportunities and your words made me pull myself together! remember sorry af came today but please do approach this cycle with renewed positivity - great news about your DH's results!

diamond I have everything crossed that you'll be celebrating a bfp come 13th June, but if you're passing that date on another cycle we'll all be here to get you through it (the 'hand-holders!)

red we're cycle buddies and temping for the first time! See birchy's amazing chart for the kind of pattern you're looking for to tell you that you are definitely ovulating. The book I'm reading says you can't use temp to predict when to dtd as you don't see any change until after ovulation and that instead you should also chart your cervical fluid for that elusive ewcm! What temping can do is tell you you are pregnant if you have 18 temps in the 'high zone' after ovulation (fuzzy it's sounding good for you!)
lovely fx for you too - you're not out til af comes - take haquoi as our perfect example! You too birchy - channel haquoi's amazing calmness and poas restraint (but also definitely poas at the weekend as I know I would ;) )

finding I'm interested in supplements for DH too. I'm sure I read that folic acid is good for sperm so I've been making DH take one when I do Blush I'm sure there is no scientific evidence for this!

grey I was off contraception for ages before having dd - conceived on 2nd month of 'trying'!

Welcome joe and lady! Glad to have you on board :)

I'm CD8 and having an intimate relationship with my cervical fluid Grin! I'm really hoping to get the timing just right this month as due to our unexpected house guest we definitely have to go for quality over quantity this month. I'm going to use OPKs again this month (took a break last month) and will either start testing tomorrow or Saturday. Question - I have 5 left in a previous packet, do I use them and then use the sticks from a new packet in the same digital holder?

DarlingBudsOfMay · 04/06/2015 18:21

Congratulations on your BFP haquoi123 Smile

I haven't posted for a while but am on first attempt at TTC this year and trying not to get too obsessed like I did a couple years ago. I have just bought a load of cheap preggo tests from Amazon but I will refrain from OPKs this time around.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for all you ladies in our quest for BFPs.

Huzzah! Smile

Lovelyjubbly95 · 04/06/2015 18:57

Well im out this mth ladies :( af has arrived this eve. Damn! Onto another cycle for me i guess....am organising a spa afternoon for me and the dh over his bday which will hopefully be my nxt ovulating phase lol

diamondsparkles · 04/06/2015 19:20

Hi diana - thank you, that's lovely of you. I'll definitely take you up on that hand holding Smile
Yes I feel like this is a renewed positive vibe thread - will give us all our bfps.
I think you can use the sticks from the old packet and then the new in the same digital holder - apparently the holder learns your body levels or something scientific like that so it will be the best way.
Hi darling! Whereabouts are you in your cycle? Fingers crossed for you too!
lovely - sorry to hear about af - she's a witch. Lol, sounds like a good plan for your next cycle though Grin

fuzzywuzzy · 04/06/2015 19:47

Lovely, sorry af's showed, I hope you & your DH have a very romantic spa break.

Diana if your using the clearblue dual hormone indicator OPK, each pack has its own digital stick which you need to use only with the test sticks supplied in that pack.

When you use the new pack only use the sticks supplied with it, according to instructions in the pack, other sticks won't work (not sure how true it is tho).

Also each time you use the CBDH OPK, the first test stick always shows a blank circle doesn't matter where in your cycle it is, to calibrate.
