Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Wax - that's interesting thanks! There's not meant to be a pattern, I guess that's why CB say ignore them but I can't help but look at them Smile

waxweasel · 08/06/2015 17:28

Haha neither can I - obviously!

eggsnbeans · 08/06/2015 17:38

Running back in! Stoopid phone not lettig me comment then crashed and lost my long message so back on latop with half a keyboard thanks DD1! so sorry for typos Blush

Well done on the reduced BF Ava! So bloody hard to keep them otherwise occupied when there's boob on their brain! And seriously impressed on the eod DTD for that long! wish we could do that1

Congrats OneCurrrant! All my FX for you Smile Any symptoms yet? First month too Envy

Shock Trinypy at police coming for a crying baby! Hope they were suitably embarassed and sympathetic! I regularly am grateful for no close neighbours for exactly this reason (although sometimes wonder if they still hear the screaming some days!)

Thanks for that info on nutrition Dougal. I have been looking at doig similar to you this month, just ordered some vitex to help improve my LP a bit as I think 9-10d is a bit short, but looking at other boosts too. let me know how you find the nutri bullet too! Been thinking about one of those for ages but never sure if it's just tv hype!

Go go go onthe DTD Pear Grin Definitely got to be your month I reckon! I aim for eod from about d12-24, with ov exected on d 21, and hopefully an extra one at the right time Wink

Rant from me.... finally gor Dr appt (booked in last Weds they are so busy!) Stupid male Dr knew nothing about womens' cycles and thought it was normal to get a bfp on CD12! I said 'but that's before I even ovulate so there must be something odd going on from my last cycle' and he asked me what I meant by cycle! Seriously, is it only women that know these things? I have been having some pelvic pain ad dizziness over the weekend too, and he got in a bit of a tis over that and sent me down to A&E immediately as a susect ectopic (such fun with a 1yr old in tow) and the Dr there was equally clueless then said I didn't look sick enough to warrent calling in the radiographer (5pm so had just gone home) so they will call me tomorrow with a scan appointment! don't know whether to be pleased to find out what's going on or annoyed at wasting 1.5hrs sitting in A&E for 2mins with Dr! Grrrrrrr

ispyfispi · 08/06/2015 20:18

Wow eggs, your GP sounds terrible! Menstrual cycle is pretty fundamental stuff surely?! I hope you find out what's going on soon....

DougalTheCheshireCat · 08/06/2015 20:50

My SILs got a nutribullet and says they're well worth it. She's really got in shape drinking a smoothly every morning.

I've been making smoothies with a hand held blender for a couple of weeks now but it takes aaaages and they still come out a bit, er, chewy.

I've not really got a spare 20 mins to spare in the morning so I'm hoping it will speed things up.

At the mo I'm putting into my smoothies: 1/2 avocado, 1/2 banana, some berries, organic spinach, organic kale, fresh ginger (my BBTs are a bit low), coconut oil, milled seeds, maca (my nutritionist says not breast feeding approved but I am ignoring!).

I've been feeling much better but this afternoon I felt bad: headache, giddy spell, really thirsty. I hope it's the toxins clearing out!

I'm also drinking raspberry tea (loose not th bags, supposed to be good for egg quality). I tried soya a coup,e of cycles ago but it did funny things to my hormone levels (highe estrogen for days and days pre ov, thought I might not ov at all but got s late LH surge on the last stick).

That was what made me think I should stop messing myself and get some proper advice, hence seeing a nutritionist.

DougalTheCheshireCat · 08/06/2015 20:55

Also, Eggs, my cycle was out of whack she we concieved DD. I'd been on a mini pill (cerazette) for a couple of months and it really upset my cycle. It was short, with a week of thick brown discharge before my period every time for months. I went to the GP several times but they just robbed me off with 'oh well, you know, hormones, things change' and 'your not old enough for a fertility referral'.

It was bullshit. Made me realise how little the average GP knows about this stuff, and in general how poor the NHS approach to fertility, pregnancy and birth is.

Hope you are ok tonight and get some answers tomorrow. Take your Mumsnet power with you to push for the answers you need.

Trinpy · 08/06/2015 21:19

hello everyone! nice to see the thread so busy again.

eggs good luck with your scan tomorrow. I hope that the news is positive, whatever it is. Shock that the doctor was so unknowledgeable about menstrual cycles though. You would have thought that sort of thing would come up quite a lot in his line of work!

Dougal thank you for posting that link. You are right that it is good to have something to channel ttc energy into during the other 3 weeks of the month (and a lot healthier than obsessing over whether there's a second line or not Blush).

I really admire (if that's the right word!) all of you that are managing to dtd ed. Ttc was a lot easier when we didn't have a clingy 1 year old to look after!

Af arrived this morning. I forgot how much period pain bloody hurts Hmm. Fx things work out this month and I won't have to deal with it for another 1.5 years again!

ispyfispi · 08/06/2015 21:55

Sympathies with the period pain Trin, I'd forgotten too. I've gone all mumsnetty and decided to invest in a mooncup and some cloth pads in the hope that spending all that money means I won't be needing them next month Wink

Trinpy · 08/06/2015 22:14

ingenious ispy Grin

Mumof1sofar · 09/06/2015 00:02

Eggs that is terrible! Poor you. Good luck for the scan tomorrow.

Sorry for af trinpy Thanks

Leamice · 09/06/2015 07:22

Eggs Good luck at your scan today. Im hoping you get some good news :)

Dougal We have the Nutribullet, its a good smoothy maker, my DH got it when he was on one of his health kicks. The only thing Id say about doing smoothy diets is we had a lot of wastage (I absolutely hate throwing food away) so in the end got him frozen fruit (like berries) instead.

Mumo Hope your TWW flies by!

Pear Hope you got your Smiley today, let the baby dancing commence Smile

My only news is that FF has given me crosshairs, it thinks I am 7dpo.... who knows?!

peardrop2 · 09/06/2015 07:38

Thanks Lea!

Eggs, I'm wishing you so much luck for seeing the nicest people at the scan plan today! Let us know how it goes xx

Flashing Smiley face today Grin Glad things are on track for me!! Wax I'm only one day behind you Wink

Onecurrantbun · 09/06/2015 07:55

Wax and trin I am Shock at your horrible neighbours!
Well done Ava sounds like you're.making real progress
Thanks for all the well wishes, still only about 4+3 or something crazy so I am still lurking around here.

Went to Peppa Pig World yesterday which was great.

Mumof1sofar · 09/06/2015 08:44

Ahh one that's so exciting (being 4+3, not going to Peppa pig world haha)! How are you feeling?

Thanks Lea. Testing a week today. My tastes seem to have really changed over the last couple of days - I have totally gone off coffee (caff or decaf) & fruit juice, & all I want now are herbal teas. Also yesterday all I wanted was stodgy foods. I know it's far too early for this to be anything at all at only 7dpo - I tend to chalk any changes up to 'symptoms' - agh the dangers of the 2ww. ConfusedConfusedConfusedBlushBlushBlush

How's everyone else doing today?

AvaAmulet · 09/06/2015 09:02

Hope the AF pains have subsided, Trinpy Flowers

Good luck for the scan, Eggs, and for hopefully speaking with 'professionals' who actually have a clue going forward Confused

Keeping everything crossed for you, Mumo Wink Grin

Just about managed to dtd very late last night, as DD took ages to settle, but it was before midnight, so I'm still ed'ing Grin 4 more days to go, though Shock

Pear, my temps are quite similar to previous cycles overall, with maybe a few more days of lower temps. If they stay on the higher end of low for the next couple of days I should still see my usual dip (expected Thursday) it just won't be a massive drop x

LetThereBeCupcakes · 09/06/2015 09:13

Hi all - may I join you?

Currently TTC DC2 - DS is 2.4 and still BFing at bedtime and first thing in the morning, and occasionally mid afternoon at nap time.

Came off the pill a month ago and no AF yet, though had some cramping about 10 days ago. No idea what that means!

Mumof1sofar · 09/06/2015 09:16

Welcome Let & good luck Smile

waxweasel · 09/06/2015 11:31

Welcome let!

Good luck for the scan eggs - hope you get some answers. Your gp sounds beyond incompetent - I think you need to move surgeries!

YAY pear for getting your smiley! We'll be doing the 2ww together! ava too I think? I had another flashing smiley this morning. How many days of flashing ones do you usually get before a static one?

Hope the period pains have eased off trinpy.

peardrop2 · 09/06/2015 12:51

Welcome Let Smile Hope AF shows up for you soon!

Wax - last month I got 4 flashing smileys before my static smiley. It varies from person to person.

peardrop2 · 09/06/2015 12:57

I was just looking back at last months stats and interestingly last month I got my first flashing smiley on cd12 and this month it's cd11. That must be a good sign?! It does seem to get better every month.

ispyfispi · 09/06/2015 15:05

Welcome Cupcakes Smile Did you go straight on the pill after your ds was born? So no postnatal af at all yet? Hopefully things get back to normal quickly for you....

waxweasel · 09/06/2015 15:29

Oh I was banking on 2 days of flashing smileys and being done with the ed shagathon by Thursday!! Not that it isn't enjoyable, but on 2-3 hours sleep a night with DD's nighttime milk binges, I'd prefer an actual early night tbh...

Leamice · 09/06/2015 17:18

Hi Cup Good luck!

peardrop2 · 09/06/2015 19:22

Ha ha wax Wink I know what you mean. This is my 8th cycle and I've had enough before I've properly begun Grin

Mumof1sofar · 09/06/2015 19:45

Good luck with the shagathon Ava, pear & wax (& anyone else I've missed).

Dc is being a real little madam at the moment - toddler tantrums have commenced ConfusedHmm So I'm thinking that if I do get a bfn next week at least I can have some wine! Wine
