Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

I was thinking the exact same thing, Trinpy! Shock Confused

Sorry about the bfn, Lea Sad

Managed to dtd this afternoon while DD was out with my parents so fx we can dtd ed until Friday as hoped Shock figured it's worth a try, eod hasn't worked this time around in all the blimmin' months we've been ttc Hmm

waxweasel · 07/06/2015 21:52

I live in south London! They really should have plenty of rapists and murderers to keep them busy ;)

Mumof1sofar · 07/06/2015 22:08

Good luck Ava Smile

Wax ShockShockShockShock That's insane!

AvaAmulet · 08/06/2015 07:20

Hmm, my temps are so low lately I've no idea where they'd go from here if I were to get my ov dip later this week as expected ....will be interesting to see Confused

AvaAmulet · 08/06/2015 07:43

Just realised I'll be testing on my DH's birthday if AF doesn't get me before then. Of god, if I got a bfp it'd be an awesome birthday gift but if it's a bfn or AF showing up it would be worse than usual. On the positive side, we'll have a nice day of distractions and family over in the evening to get our minds off the disappointment, but last month's bfn and AF showing up really bummed out DH, so I can't imagine how much more disappointed he'll be on his birthday Hmm

In my head I'm still thinking we have at least a couple of cycles to go before we get our bfp. Not sure if that's because I'm expecting to have weaned by then, or if I'm associating it with ttc first time around - because DD was conceived in August, so that month is sticking in my mind because if that? Confused

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 08:07

Ava, what have your OPKs been saying? I'm getting a very faint second line but no flashing smiley yet. Expecting it tomorrow. How do your temps compare to last month so far?

Mumofone - do you remember if you got a faint second like before your first flashing smiley? I think I got this last time.

waxweasel · 08/06/2015 09:17

I got a flashing smiley this morning! Eeee! I shouldn't have already been dtd should I? I know the best is eod for whole cycle, but we're both too shattered so have just been waiting for the opks to demand it :)

Anyway, I'm only cd13, and my cycles are average 34 days, so I figure that it could mean my LPs are quite long? And that's a good thing, isnt it?

Ava - I sympathise, I calculate that I'll be testing on DD's birthday. I'm viewing it as a good distraction if I get BFN....

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 09:23

Ava - I really wouldn't worry about DH. I drove myself crazy last month worrying about all sorts (how we will fit in dtd, how last month would be perfect timing to conceive, how I needed to clear the diary, what I ate and drank). This month I am so bored of worrying about it all I've totally given up and stopped stressing. I've not cancelled my plans to see friend at the weekend (because that would just be more stress given that I am seeing her to try and salvage our friendships after having DS). From tomorrow I'm just going to dtd whenever we can as much as we can. Maybe even tonight. Try not to worry. All you need to do is get these swimmers in and then the rest is out of your control. That's my attitude this month anyway!

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 09:24

Wax - good luck! Come on little egg Wink

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 09:26

Oh and wax...have you got the dual hormone tests? If so then you've still got a couple of days of practise Wink

DougalTheCheshireCat · 08/06/2015 11:03

Right sorry for the very long gap. Busy time, DD's birthday, lots going on at work etc.

however I said I'd find the link to the post on nutrition. Here it is really good blog on nutrition for conception

I've just had another skim and its really reminded me how much this stuff matters, must be even more important while we're still breast feeding...

Mumof1sofar · 08/06/2015 11:06

Pear I don't look at the lines, just the faces. It says something about it in the instructions, can't remember what though! Sorry, not particularly helpful.

Ava maybe test the day after dh's bday if you're worried about bumming him out... Although obvs it would be the best present ever if you got a bfp!

Wax, go & jump on your oh! Smile

DougalTheCheshireCat · 08/06/2015 11:12

Just to add: I'm going to get a nutribullet at lunch time today. the other thing I'm loving about the nutrition thing is its somewhere to challenge the energy of being ready for the BFP during all the rest of the time when it's not DTD week.

I find the other times a bit frustrating, and getting up and making a fertility smoothy every morning, choosing NOT to have that twix at 4pm are all baby steps to our next baby. I'm finding it's helping.

AF arrived here last night. I have pre-AF spotting (hence reading the nutrition blog - need better progesterone levels). At the moment it feels like every month the spotting shows a slight improvement and I get excited for a day or two, and then AF comes anyway.

the improvements are good, I guess. I'm just impatient now. When we stared on this journey I was hoping for an October / autumn baby. Now I'm crossing my fingers for an early spring one!

Mumof1sofar · 08/06/2015 11:33

I'm now 6dpo & time is going sooo slowly!!! I'm planning not to test til 14dpo as I think af will have started by then if she's on her way... Although I'm sure I'll cave & test before then.

Mumof1sofar · 08/06/2015 11:34

Good luck Dougal Smile

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 12:56

Dougal - thanks for the link! Very interesting. I've been meaning to buy a bag of almonds. Always tricky to limit how many I eat but my sister showed me yesterday that she measures them out in salad dressing pots and take them around with her. Good idea I thought!

Mumofone - you'll get there xx Wink

waxweasel · 08/06/2015 13:35

Oh interesting Dougal!

Good luck with the wait mumofone :) it's agonising isn't it?

Pear - yep, I have the dual hormone ones. So figure I have a good four day window now! DH is in work right now sadly, so no prospect of naptime jumping ;)

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 13:50

Wax - did you see a faint second line before you got your smiley this morning?

waxweasel · 08/06/2015 14:09

Ummm yes, there was one when I ejected the stick. But there has been a faint second line every day so far - I started thurs so have had 4 negative circles, and they all had faint second lines. What does it mean?

ispyfispi · 08/06/2015 14:23

Thanks for the link Dougal, I shall take a look through it later. I totally understand the need to be doing something positive and I'm not quite down to my pre-pregnancy weight which is something I said I would do before getting pregnant again. Having said that I imagine the idea is that your body would need to support 2 little ones!
So while I'm still feeling slightly earth mothery at af returning the novelty is definitely wearing off. I have a new white bikini to try on for holiday next week and it's still a bloodbath over here Confused on the upside we should have lots of opportunity for dtd while away. I made a spontaneous purchase of the Clearblue digital ovulation test with duel hormone indicator today so I'll be needing help with that, all the talk of smiley faces has been over my head somewhat!
Also I think now my biggest hurdle has been overcome I'm rather over confident about getting pregnant first cycle. It's going to be a long month!

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 14:33

Wax - the second line should in theory be getting darker then yesterday's if you got a flashing smiley today. It's measuring your estrogen so the darker the line the closer you're too ovulation. CB says ignore the sticks but I think it works. It certainly showed that for me last month anyway!

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 14:35

Btw wax I'm only asking because I've had faint lines for the last two days so I'm just wondering what your sticks looked like before you got your smiley today. I'm expecting my first flashing smiley tomorrow.

Mumof1sofar · 08/06/2015 15:32

Pear this month we started dtd eod from cd8, then as soon as I got flashing smileys we dtd every day. First time we've done it so much so I reeeaaaaally hope it pays off... How often are you dtd?

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 15:44

Mumofone - we haven't started yet Blush I'm planning to either tonight or tomorrow. Today is cd10. I supposedly OVd on cd15 last month so I'm ready to start now.

waxweasel · 08/06/2015 16:31

We havent started yet either pear! We'll do it every day now until the smileys depart. Way too knackered to manage eod the rest of the month!

Hmm the line definitely hasn't got darker...saturday was actually a fair bit darker, then they've got lighter again. There seems to be no pattern to mine!
