Augusthomotherium · 28/05/2015 13:01

Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Just popping in to say congrats to Onecurrent and also good luck for tomorrow Eggs

I know I'm not technically on this thread anymore but I still have a soft spot for this thread and often stop by to check how you're all doing.

So far so good here: just over six weeks in, past the point of my mc, getting lots of symptoms and dd has fully weaned without any tears. I've a lot to be grateful for.

It's Marysprayer, btw, named changed to a nice summery nickname. Smile

eggsnbeans · 09/06/2015 21:11

Thanks everyone Smile all your good wishes must have worked some magic as there is a 7w baby in there, and in the right place GrinGrin dates are a bit off, by ov dates I should be 7+6 so could still be not quite developing properly, but I guess will find that out in time.
Yes I thought reproductive knowledge was pretty fundamental as a pg, but I think they mainly do old people and chronic problems so get a bit rusty! When I was struggling to conceive dd1 my last gp wanted to do a LH blood tst on d14! I pointed out that was a bit pointless Confused

So glad you are doing well May Smile

Well done for keeping up your shagathon Ava! 4 more days, you can do it

Mumo - symptom spotting is the total agony of the tww ay! I am always CONVINCED I have nausea/better sense of smell/ extra tired in the tww then it magically disappears with a bfn Sad do you have a normal lp or do you get AF early? The only good thing about a 9d lp is it makes the tww shorter! And totally feel ya on the toddler behaviour! Dd1 started regular tantrums at exactly 1 and is still very intense! Dd2 is much more chilled luckily, although it will start eventually!

Yay for the impending peak fertility Pear and WaxGrin good luck keeping up the DTD Blush

Your smoothies sound yum Dougal! I just do frozen fruit and milk, should really branch into something more adventurous though but only have a stick blender! I crave milk when pregnant so should really look into a nutribullet too.

Trinpy · 09/06/2015 21:12

Nice to see am update from you both May and One. I hope the rest of your pregnancies goes well.

mumof toddler tantrums are never fun, hopefully it's just a (very brief!) phase.

Welcome and good luck to cupcakes.

Keep up the good work to those of you currently in your shagathon week Grin.

Nothing to report here, except I'm feeling much better today. Oh and in a shock move I have binned my favourite bra with the elastic sticking out that's 2 sizes too big and I'm even contemplating buying a new one in my current pre-pregnancy size. Which means I'm definitely going to get pregnant this month Wink.

MayFlowers16 · 09/06/2015 21:16

Great news eggs, fingers crossed for you. Those two dates are very similar, esp as it's so difficult to date accurately at this early stage. At my 12 weeks scan with dd, they put me forward by whole week, which was technically impossible according to my dates!

Trinpy · 09/06/2015 21:17

x-post...

7weeks Shock Shock [!!!! That's such amazing news eggs! You must be so overwhelmed. I'm so happy that it is good news and hoping that little miracle baby keeps growing. Keep us updated Thanks.

Trinpy · 09/06/2015 21:24

And my dates based on ov didn't match up with the dates from 10 week and 12 week scans either when I was pregnant. There was 4-5 days difference iirc.

Leamice · 09/06/2015 21:27

Yay Eggs what fab news!! Congratulations!! Maybe just slow to implant and get growing. Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months :)

Glad your well May good to hear from you too.

Leamice · 09/06/2015 21:29

Trin make sure you spend lots on your new bra, that'll definitely make "Sod's law" kick in lol! You'll be preg before you know it

AvaAmulet · 09/06/2015 22:50

Thanks for the update May, great to hear from you and so pleased that everything is progressing well Smile

Ugh, I honestly cannot bring myself to dtd tonight. I know ed was the plan, and if I had an unexpected early positive opk I would totally make myself dtd, but they're still negative and I am exhausted.. After a couple of hours ironing and general chores in readiness for work tomorrow I just cannot do it. Think my lack of motivation re losing weight over the last few days has spilled over into my ttc mindset. Blush Blush Blush Trouble is, I'm due to ov on Thursday and will feel even more tired after the next 2 long days at work... Hmm

AvaAmulet · 09/06/2015 22:51

Amazing news, Eggs, I am soooo pleased for you Flowers Grin

peardrop2 · 09/06/2015 22:58

Wow Eggs that is great news. I guess the bfp test was right after all! Out of interest what was it that made you doubt the pregnancy? A faint line is still a bfp. Was it the bleeding?

Ava - hang on in there. Easier said then done I know Blush You can do it though Wink And don't worry if you skip one night...it will make the swimmers stronger tomorrow!

I had newborn baby cuddles today. Didn't enjoy them because I just want my own baby now! Confused I normally love all babies!

Mumof1sofar · 09/06/2015 23:16

Hi may/Mary Smile So nice to hear from you! Glad all's well. Please keep us updated - we are thinking of you Smile

Congrats Eggs!!! GrinGrinGrin that's wonderful news. Here's to a happy & healthy 9 months... Or 7 months left for you now isn't it?

Trin I have been holding off buying a nice non-nursing bra but I like your thinking... May have to invest in one & hopefully invoke Sod's law! You are definitely getting upduffed this month Smile

Ava I totally sympathise. Can you dtd in the morning instead?

Aww pear, newborn cuddles are hard when you are broody Confused Soon you will have your own little newborn to cuddle though!Smile

peardrop2 · 10/06/2015 06:31

Trinpy - I wish I had invested in a new bra sooner! I've been hanging onto to this one white soft wires bra for wayyyyy too long now. I suppose it's good that it's not a nursing bra but it's still too big. Go for it I say!! I may have to buy one if I don't get my bfp and I keep saying that every month Blush

2nd flashing smiley day today. Terrible night sleep because I was worried all the important swimmers will fall out in the night Confused TMI...is it normal for it to all come out the next morning when you pee? I'm really worried that I'm not managing to get the little guys in the right place because of my tilted uterus that may or may not have corrected itself since my last pregnancy?! I dangle my legs for 30 minutes but it's still a big worry of mine every time Hmm

Mumof1sofar · 10/06/2015 07:06

Pear have you tried a soft cup? Just a thought - I never have but I think people use them for that reason.

Augusthomotherium · 10/06/2015 08:04

Hi all! I've been awol due to stressful stuff happening here in RL, but I popped in to read the last page of this thread and saw the news from eggs which is amazing. So pleased for you! It's funny because I had all that spotting for four days, then a five day proper big bleed of a kind I've never had before (dark redblack and unbelievably heavy cp?), and am cd10 now and wondering if I can echo your weird wonderful bfp. Grin I'm glad all looks well for you! Flowers
Sorry about af everyone else on here hoping for a recent bfp. I'll come by again soon. Hang in there kitties!

luckily I don't have any hpt's here so can't fuel the crazy!

waxweasel · 10/06/2015 09:16

eggs!!!! That's bloody brilliant! So so happy for you.

And you too May, really glad to hear it's going well for you.

ava don't beat yourself up...dtd ed on top of normal life with a bf toddler is brutal. One day off on a opk negative day will not make a difference, and will do your sanity some good xx

pear day 3 of flashing smiley here...am so disappointed it isnt a peak yet! Am driving myself nuts googling and worrying it means I wont get one. Even tho I know it's normal. And I conceived DD despite not getting a positive....
I'm also stressing I might get false readings because DD is mega milk binging at night so I have to drink 500ml-1l water during the night and wee at least once. But I'd die of dehydration otherwise! I feel permanently hungover as it is! But maybe it would just stop me detecting my peak, but as long as I dtd throughout the flashing smiley period I should be covered, right?

peardrop2 · 10/06/2015 13:22

Wax - I think the average person gets a peak on day 4/5 of flashing smileys so you're close now Wink

peardrop2 · 10/06/2015 13:40

Mumofone - I've thought about a mooncup and then shut my legs very tight after that thought Blush Guess I just need to remember that I conceived DS so in theory I should be able to do it again! I read today from the fertility guru (west lady) that the right stuff shoots up into the cervix so I just need more faith! She also says that just dtd around your fertile time is not a good idea because the sperm is dead when it's not been in use Shock

AvaAmulet · 10/06/2015 14:57

Eww! Yucky thought re dead swimmers...hadn't thought of it like that before... if it helps at all, Pear, I don't have a tilted uterus (that I'm aware of?!) and a lot of our swimmers 'escape' within hours of dtd too....Hopefully the good 'uns stay up there though Wink

Impossible to dtd on a work morning, I'd need to dtd v.quickly at 6am at the latest, as I need to be up by 6.30am for work as it is... Hmm

peardrop2 · 10/06/2015 15:40

Ava - it's nice to know that I'm not on my own with escaping swimmers!! I hope you've got your mojo back tonight Wink I've definitely got to get in the mood now that I know last nights swimmers were caput Grin Must remember to watch a light comedy whilst eating dinner tonight instead of a programme about keeping babies alive in their first hour (was very interesting but not at all sexy) Grin

AvaAmulet · 10/06/2015 16:53

Gosh, couldn't watch something of that nature whilst eating Shock yes, definitely stick to a nice comedy Grin

Oh, and Wax, snap re night feeds! I'm afraid that all our progress with almost-weaning during the day is being undone over the last couple of nights with DD being latched on almost permanently after picking up another bout of snuffles... Confused

waxweasel · 10/06/2015 17:59

Bah I say the dead swimmers thing is nonsense! I only did it twice in the month I fell pg with DD - both within 48 hrs in what we assumed was ov window despite lack of positive opks. But maybe DH had particularly sturdy swimmers (or is a keen masturbater)

waxweasel · 10/06/2015 18:26

Ava - our progress has also suffered a setback...I'm at home with DD on mondays and tuesdays, and last few weeks she conked out in her buggy for a nap while we're out. But we've had to stay in this week at the crucial point of the day, and she outright refuses to sleep for me in any way except being fed to sleep in mummy's bed. Then waking up after 45 mins and summoning me to lie with her for another 90 mins or so while she uses me as a dummy. Massive fail!

Mumof1sofar · 10/06/2015 19:35

Pear who is the fertility guru & what do you mean dead sperm? ShockShock
