Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Ooops I've been posting on the other!

I assume you're meant to get a few flashing smilies and then a static one? I've never used those tests so excuse my question. Sounds rubbish though as you're constantly expecting it. I used the cbfm for a while while ttc ds and because I don't necessarily ov I could get 10 highs and no peak, it was rubbish.

I have remembered to temp the last 2 mornings, whoop!
Decided to have a bash at the smep after looking back at old charts. The month we conceived we did something pretty similar without actually trying to do it, if that makes sense, it helped we were on holiday! Not sure we'll keep it up but so far so good!

peardrop2 · 21/07/2015 09:31

Mini - 4 flashing smiles is the average before you get 2 peaks. CB say if it's over 9 give up but last month I got my peak after the 13th flashing smiley. To save sticks I will now be testing on alternate days. What is smep?

MinisMama13 · 21/07/2015 09:56

Smep is sperm meets egg plan. Basically you dtd every other day from cd8 until you get a positive opk and then do that day and the next 2, miss a day and the dtd once more. Not sure we'll manage it somehow (lack of sleep with the boy is making me cranky!) but it's worth a go! If you have a Google there is proper instructions as I don't know how to post a link!

AvaAmulet · 21/07/2015 10:08

Congratulations, Auf!!! I'm so thrilled that you finally got your BFP!!! Yay!!!!! Grin Grin Grin

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 21/07/2015 10:10

Thanks Ava! Flowers High time too if you ask me! Grin

MinisMama13 · 21/07/2015 10:50

We should have a bfp grad list!

peardrop2 · 21/07/2015 16:59

That would be depressing Hmm

MinisMama13 · 21/07/2015 19:00

Hmmm true, I didn't think of it that way. I think I'm being way too optimistic for my own good considering.

lostindubai · 21/07/2015 20:10

I think that's a lovely idea Mini! Sorry Peardrop but don't we all have good reason to be optimistic? I hope when I've got to know you better I'll know how best to try and perk you up when necessary! Flowers

peardrop2 · 21/07/2015 20:27

Lostindubai - don't worry you can ignore me. I lost my optimism 8th cycles back. Now that Auf has got her bfp that makes me the longest on here which is depressing me big time. A few quiet days in the corner and I'll be back to my chirpy (and maybe a little optimistic) self Wink

peardrop2 · 21/07/2015 20:28

I have to warn you though it would be a big list Grin

lostindubai · 21/07/2015 20:44

Ha! Didn't expect to see you smiling quite so soon Wink

Please don't feel depressed about being the longest on here - after all it means you've had longest to learn what's going on with your body. Knowledge is power!

Definitely won't be ignoring you x

peardrop2 · 21/07/2015 21:22

Aw thanks lost Smile

Eeeepp we're nearly at the end

peardrop2 · 21/07/2015 21:22

Filling it up

peardrop2 · 21/07/2015 21:22

????????????????????????

peardrop2 · 21/07/2015 21:23

Bye bye Thread 4

MinisMama13 · 21/07/2015 21:26

Sorry Pear I didn't mean to be insensitive.

Someone I know in real life found out she was pregnant while still bf recently and it really got to me for a good few weeks. She got pregnant within 3 cycles this time and on their first last time. It stings, even though I know I'm incredibly lucky to have ds, because it's the why isn't it us/why is it so easy for everyone thing.
Huge hugs m'dear, and cake, always cake!Cake

On the upside surely a long list gives us all hope?! How many have had to give up bf? My dude has been going for it with feeds today and is still latched now Hmm

We have dtd scheduled for tonight, how romantic!

lostindubai · 21/07/2015 21:45

So have we Mini. Just trying every other day at the moment (any more than that would send us over the edge - it's exhausting as it is!)

I was also wondering how many have had to give up bf to get that bfp. I hadn't planned to feed this long. I just haven't had a good enough reason to stop - yet.

peardrop2 · 21/07/2015 21:59

Mini - oooo don't worry. I so know how you feel about the "sting"! That's very much how I feel right now!

I would say the list would be 50/50. Lots of ladies have stopped and lots of ladies have cut down feeds but still got a bfp.

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 22/07/2015 05:48

pear SadFlowersStar
It'll happen! If I hadn't had the utrogestan pessaries this cycle I wouldn't have gotten pregnant I'm positive of it. Lp lp lp. I'm xf really tightly for you!

peardrop2 · 22/07/2015 06:52

Auf - That's very kind of you to say but will it? What if I need a shot but because my Dr thinks it's all OK it's gone unnoticed and month after month nothing is going to happen Hmm I've been googling like mad this week trying to find an answer to why I am ovulating a week later then what my sticks are telling me and why am I now on the road to getting 13 stupid flashing smileys 2 months in a row?!!! It's actually the one thing I forgot to mention at the doctors because I was so sure he would send me for tests and I thought last month was a one off but now it looks like it's happening again Confused

AvaAmulet · 22/07/2015 09:25

Pear I wasnt posting regularly to begin with, but I did post my first message on here back in August last year, when we'd already been ttc (trying to catch the first egg) since the previous October....soooo, technically... lol Grin

Maybe go back to the Dr or see someone different if you're still concerned?

I'm expecting AF on 24th July after our much needed ttc break then as soon as she buggers off I'll be back to incessant ttc mitherings posting Grin

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 22/07/2015 09:31

pear I don't know. :(
Perhaps think about going to to a private GP. There is the cost, but they can prescribe stuff much more easily. If you think you know what the problem is and you think you know what meds you should take, you can ask for a prescription for it?
ava go at it girl! You GOO-OO-OOOO! :)
