Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Congrats Trin!! Grin

peardrop2 · 16/07/2015 08:31

Gosh it just goes to show that you don't need to Dtd a lot! Congrats Trin Thanks

peardrop2 · 16/07/2015 08:32

Trinpy would you mind reminding everyone of your stats. Thanks Smile

ispyfispi · 16/07/2015 09:09

Yay Trin!

peardrop2 · 16/07/2015 09:10

Trinpy I get those cramps were a positive sign Smile

peardrop2 · 16/07/2015 09:11

guess

Trinpy · 16/07/2015 09:12

Thank you Smile. I'm so shocked, I did everything right last cycle and got a bfn, did everything wrong this time round and I'm somehow pregnant Hmm.

stats: ds is 15 months, weaned at 14.5 months. Af returned at 10 months pp, this was my 3rd cycle. I ovulated on cd 25 this time around - so still very possible to conceive with late ovulation Smile.

Is it ok if I hang around here for a bit longer? Don't feel confident enough to leave yet.

AvaAmulet · 16/07/2015 09:17

Wow!!! Massive congratulations Trinpy!!! X

ispyfispi · 16/07/2015 09:24

So glad that Trin Cycles work as I seem to be following a similar pattern! I wrote a long post yesterday that seemed not to post, grrr, I'll type it again later.
Huge Congrats Trin, absolutely stay around for a bit x

ispyfispi · 16/07/2015 09:42

So likely that complete weaning was the trick then? That doesn't bode so well for us!

lostindubai · 16/07/2015 09:51

Congratulations Trinpy that's brilliant news!

Trinpy · 16/07/2015 09:56

I didn't even think about that ispy, I suppose we'll never know. But plenty of bf mums get pregnant too, so I think it's just chance. I hope this month is lucky for you too.

ispyfispi · 16/07/2015 09:59

Enjoy your 9 months of not bf before it starts all over again ????

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 16/07/2015 10:02

Oh trin I'm so pleased for you (and so jealous too as my DC is 15 months too). Congratulations. I thought the 15% you quoted was quite high as it is only about 30% anyway in normal cycles and with perfectly fertile contributors. Excellent news. Have a wonderfully boring and uneventful pregnancy! Grin

waxweasel · 16/07/2015 10:17

Omg amazing news Trinpy!!! I'm so happy for you. And I withdraw my premature 'sorry Trinpy' from last night in response to the cramping. X

peardrop2 · 16/07/2015 11:28

OK so even though I said I'm going for the eod approach I think we're going to try again tonight because we're really busy tomorrow and I want to enjoy myself and not be thinking about how I'm going to stay awake to Dtd all day!! I have a good feeling about this month. I'm really hoping that I peak early. That's all I'm focused on really. Not even thinking about a bfp. After 8 months I just want to see a normal cycle!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 16/07/2015 12:25

Wow Trin what fantastic news! So that means you're due April ish?

ispyfispi · 16/07/2015 12:27

Agree Pear with just aiming for a normal cycle! Last day of af here and I'm curious as to how this cycle will play out. I don't want a repeat of 17 flashing smileys but don't want to start testing too late either. I think my plan is to use ic from tomorrow (I know, I know, luckily I have loads!) and then use the cb ones from when I'm 'supposed' to. Based on last cycle being 36days that's supposed to be cd16 but that seems so late to me! I've also realised lp was a little short at 9/10 days which has never happened before so I really hope I ov sooner this time!

ispyfispi · 16/07/2015 13:00

Also, can somebody more 'techie' than me start a new thread soon ????

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 16/07/2015 13:05

I started the last two threads so I think it is time for someone else to take over the reigns. :)
ispy just press "start a new thread in this topic", type in a title and add Thread#5 to it. Then add a first post, and bobsyouruncle. You can just copy and paste in the intro of this thread for simplicity, unless you felt like being creative. Grin

Trinpy · 16/07/2015 13:19

pear are your cycles falling into any sort of regular pattern yet?

ic opks are so cheap ispy you might as well use them everyday until you get a stronger test line. It's impossible with irregular cycles to know when to test with the digis.

cupcake I'm due on 24th March I think. Exactly 2 weeks before ds turns 2, so I hope they don't end up sharing a birthday.

ispyfispi · 16/07/2015 16:32

Eek, I'll give it a try if I'm feeling brave Auf, thanks for the info!

Trin, I know several people who have 23.5mth age gaps and it seems to work quite well!

waxweasel · 16/07/2015 17:52

Meant to thank pear for the support last night during my slight meltdown - managed to dtd, and first fixed smiley hit this morning, right on schedule! Hooray! So I reckon 3 more nights of dtd and that's me done for the month.

I really hope this month is your month pear! I dont have high hopes for mine, but not for any logical reason really. The cycle is regular, plus we are now 99.99999% weaned as of a couple of weeks ago - down to on average one feed a week now! So that should help. But I'm just so crazy stressed and not looking after myself, diet is crap etc, and the dtd is so scheduled and rushed and not the enjoyable rush of hormones that I keep reading is what makes babies. Plus we're knackered and so don't bother ar all outside the dtd week Blush feel a bit sad it's all just so functional. Honestly, I would kill for a night away witn DH somewhere nice. We havent had one since DD was born, and she's over 2. But we need my parents to babysit, but they only come c. monthly and every weekend they are here between now and Nov is to help while DH is away at stag weekends or similar! Still, first world problems - I have plenty to be grateful for and still plenty to hope for this month Smile

peardrop2 · 16/07/2015 20:27

Oh wax that's brilliant! Nothing better then seeing that fixed smiley face! Thank you Smile I hope so too. If it makes you feel better when I conceived DS we were so not in the mood for Dtd, we were totally fed up with it which looking back now is just crazy considering I'd only been trying for 4 months Blush I am very much at that point now...again!
