Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

ISpy, my AFs becoming normal-heavy earlier this year coincided with the start of my first positive opks, so I think it's a good sign for you Winkx

DD seems fine in herself thanks, Cupcakes, she's asking for boob more, but now that I know there's a genuine reason I'm just going with the flow. So with this, and the fact that I've forgotten to take folic acid for about a week, it's just as well that we're currently taking a ttc break Hmm

DD woke me up at midnight to tell me "baddie tummy, need toilet" so I'm wondering if teething is linked to an upset stomach? And yes, the fact she can now verbally communicate as opposed to just crying about these things makes it much easier Wink

Mini, don't worry - I often don't start temping until AF has left, as temps during AF don't tell you much anyway - it's the temps leading up to, during, and following ov that matter most Wink

And sorry to hear that you have a teething, boob dependant lo too Flowers x

Hi Ladies, Sorry not posted in a while but had nothing new to report just been to doctors today about my lack of cycles, Getting Blood test and ultrasound, says on blood test form suspected Thyroid disease - he didn't actually say that to me though, just said was checking hormones... Anyway, i need to go back to doctors after I have had the ultrasound. Just a reminder, my DS is 13months, AF returned when he was 6months ish but only had 2 AFs then went away never to be seen again so last AF was 27th December. I cut down feeds to try and bring it back and stopped feeding a few month ago but still nothing.
Im going to try to put thinking about ttc on hold until I've been back to docs as it was making me a bit crazy anyway!

MinisMama13 · 14/07/2015 10:43

In our house teething always means dodgy nappies and lots of them!

Trinpy · 14/07/2015 10:56

Hi lea. I hope you get some answers soon and that whatever is preventing you from having normal cycles is easily solvable. Completely understand why you are taking a break from ttc though.

Trinpy · 14/07/2015 11:04

Sorry, I'm on my phone and keep forgetting what people have posted!

Ava - as mini said, my ds also gets a bit of an upset tummy when he's teething. The first clue I had that he had his first tooth cutting through was awful nappy rash caused by lots of runny poos .

pear if you are really tired and the test line is still faint then I think it's fine to have an early night tonight.

I'm currently on 12 dpo and still haven't tested Smile. I think this is the most dpo I've ever got to (while ttc) without poas!

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 14/07/2015 11:44

bows down to Trinpy in awe and wonderment at 12dpo without testing

Trinpy · 14/07/2015 12:11

Thank you auf Grin.

MinisMama13 · 14/07/2015 13:02

12dpo and no testing?! Shock

Lea it's far too easy to get swept up in the whirlwind that can be ttc. I told myself I wouldn't chart and get obsessed etc this time round. Clearly that's not happened! Hope you're ok x

peardrop2 · 14/07/2015 19:58

Me thinks Trinpy will bring us good news Grin

ispyfispi · 14/07/2015 20:42

You still aiming for Thursday Trin?

Trinpy · 14/07/2015 21:36

Yeah, will test on Thursday morning if no af by then.

I've not actually been that good because I've been obsessively Googling what percentage chance I have of being pregnant from the days I dtd this cycle (between 9-15% in case anyone was wondering) Blush.

MinisMama13 · 14/07/2015 21:45

9-15% isn't the worst! What days did you dtd?
Exciting though, everything crossed for you!

Trinpy · 14/07/2015 21:52

urgh I really messed up with dtd this month mini. Completely misjudged when I would ovulate, and ended up dtd on the day of ovulation and about 5 days before. So that's why I don't think we managed it this time, and why I'm not rushing to test and see a bfn. Still clinging onto a tiny bit of hope though!

MinisMama13 · 14/07/2015 22:15

You made the day of ov which is definitely a positive so don't lose hope!
I hate that ov varies so much and then trying to evaluate lines on sticks, it's always a hope for the best type thing imo!

MinisMama13 · 15/07/2015 10:34

How is everyone?

Af has gone, wahoo! Contemplating the smep but it seems like hard work! Still not remembered to temp although after a few awful nights sleep mini slept in until 8:55 which meant so did I Smile

Trinpy · 15/07/2015 12:17

hi mini! smep does sound very exhausting. I think it's a great idea if you're not 100% sure when you've ovulated but if you're also temping and doing opks then I don't see what the point is of carrying on dtd after ov (except for fun obviously Grin). I do think it is great for covering all bases when you've not got a clear ov date.

My plan for next cycle is the old-fashioned approach of dtd every 2-3 days plus the day I get a positive opk. During my extensive Googling yesterday I read that frequent sex all through the month improves fertility, so I think my Dh and I will have to stop being so lazy Blush.

peardrop2 · 15/07/2015 13:49

As I expected I got a flashing smiley face today on cd11. A repeat of last month. I am just praying I don't have repeat of 14 flashing smileys ConfusedShock Let my eod mission begin!

Trinpy - you're most definitely in with a chance! You could have OV before or after your result! There's no telling!

MinisMama13 · 15/07/2015 13:52

Hahaha we are so guilty of being lazy! I can not be bothered on days where I've done work or an exercise class!

Every 2 days is what they tell you at fertility clinic as every day doesn't give the sperm time to mature properly or something. Especially if you have male factor issues (we both had issues!) Randomly quickies are also recommend as is sneaky sex. I remember watching a documentary and they interviewed a lead fertility guy who was saying a passionate quickie in the kitchen or sneaking off for time upstairs while at a party has good results as it gets the hormones racing!

Trinpy · 15/07/2015 17:01

hmm my ds seems to have a special knack of waking up in the evening at just the wrong moment Confused. Its a bit off-putting...

pear hope you get your static smiley very soon.

Aaaand here are the af cramps right on schedule Sad.

waxweasel · 15/07/2015 22:55

Sorry Trinpy :( really hoped it was good news for you.

I'm feeling v sorry for myself. I'm on day 5 of flashing smileys, expecting a fixed tomorrow if it follows last month. But my god are we struggling to dtd this month. We managed twice (!!) on Sat (1st day), missed two days, managed again last night. Will try to hit tonight, then both fixed days and day after. But DD is really poorly and not sleeping at all, and work is insane - I'm just now finishing :( I had more to do but just couldn't function anymore, having been up since sodding 4am for a week solidly. Now I have to dtd, man up for the night shift of constant wakings, before starting it all again tomorrow. I'm just seriously starting to get ground down by it all.

peardrop2 · 16/07/2015 00:17

Grrrrr...oh the joy of being able to fall
Asleep and snore your heart out and not have to worry about dangling your legs!! DH's have it so lucky!!

Wax, sounds like you've timed things perfectly Dtd wise! It's a nightmare when you have to schedule in Dtd and then deal with a busy week on top of that . A pain in the bum!

Trinpy · 16/07/2015 07:32

Argh I've been up since 5.45 (thanks for that ds) and still haven't wee'd because I don't want to see a bfn! I must have a much stronger pelvic floor than I thought Shock.

Trinpy · 16/07/2015 08:09

I tested at last Grin.

Leamice · 16/07/2015 08:27

BFP?
