Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Aww Trinpy sorry to hear you've not OVd yet. It's so painfully annoying waiting every day. I guess that's why some ladies stick with the cheap Internet sticks (not me). I sympathise!

I got my dates a bit wrong and I could actually test on Saturday if I wanted to. That's like 3 days away Grin I'm still feeling no symptoms!! In previous months I've had the whole tingly achey boobs and extreme tiredness so I'm just waiting for that to kick in now as that is now a big sign for me that AF is on her way.

peardrop2 · 30/06/2015 23:26

Why am I constantly looking for some sort of twinge or sore boob? The result will be what it will be. I can't change anything. Wouldn't it be great if could just flick a switch off in the 2ww and just forget all about the fact you're TTC!! My DH asked told me today that he was surprised I haven't tested yet...he really knows nothing ConfusedGrin

Leamice · 01/07/2015 07:57

Pear Exciting that you can test in just a few days. Sounds like your dh is super excited to to be mentioning testing :) Fingers crossed for a BFP, if you are feeling different as no AF signs yet could be good news!

Trin you are so right, I think its the lack of people to vent with IRL thats hard!
Sorry for no sign of ovulating yet, I for one, know the frustration of this. Hope you Ov soon though and not like me!

Ive just started lots of supplements to help get cycles back, as Im not BF I figured, why not!? lol Started, Vitamin b6, Vitamin E, SAM-e in addition to the vitex. fingers crossed for some results. AF or OV, i don't mind which, just something to show my body is working would be nice :)

ispyfispi · 01/07/2015 09:15

OMG I got a fixed smiley! After 17 days of flashing ones. Can it be believed do you think? I almost stopped testing a couple of days ago as I never would have thought I'd ovulate this late (cd26) I was expecting af this weekend so we shall see. We even dtd last night....spontaneously! I'm not sure I will cope too well with the emotional ups and downs if this goes on for too many months, I'm already a little crazy and it's only my first cycle. Ds is still bf like crazy.

Eek Pear, Saturday is not too far away, I hope you can enjoy this lovely weather to keep your mind off it.

Trinpy · 01/07/2015 10:28

Ispy I told you ov was still to come! Classic Trinpy Cycle(tm) Wink. fx this is your month!

pear are you testing on Sat then or trying to hold out until Sunday?

peardrop2 · 01/07/2015 12:49

Ispy - Yay!! Wasn't it Mumofone who Ov late and then got a bfp or was that Trinpy ????

Trinpy - No I was always going to test on 11dpo whatever day so Saturday it is ???? only 3 more sleeps!!

Trinpy · 01/07/2015 13:19

I don't know if mumofone also did but I ovulated late (cd29) and got pregnant - twice. So it is obviously very lucky to ovulate late Wink.

Yay pear not much longer to wait. I'm so excited for you!!!

peardrop2 · 01/07/2015 13:26

Oh Trinpy thanks, I wish I could be excited. 8dpo and I just feel absolute nothing!

ispyfispi · 01/07/2015 14:26

Eek, fingers crossed for us all!

AvaAmulet · 01/07/2015 16:46

Good luck for Saturday, Pear - I think it's a promising sign that you're feeling nothing in this 2ww considering the 'symptoms' followed by bfn's in previous months - I didn't have any symptoms during my 2ww with DD Wink

Yay, ispy!!! Grin Trinpy, start writing that book! lol! Star

Well, ladies, I may be joining you on this crazy ride again this month Shock I've had a super busy, productive day at work but in the back of my mind, all I'm thinking about is ttc. Now that AF is packing her bags I'm starting to feel like I've made the wrong decision to not at least try this month, either side of our hol and hope for the best?? I'm back to thinking I don't have time to waste again Hmm I don't have any ov sticks yet, as I purposely didn't buy any for this cycle Confused

Trinpy · 01/07/2015 17:23

Ava would you consider not using. opks and ttc the old-fashioned way of just dtd every 2-3 days? That way it would still be a break from full-on ttc but you wouldn't feel like you've 'wasted' a month either?

AvaAmulet · 01/07/2015 20:25

Yeah, that's what I'm considering, Trinpy. I know 4 of the days in my fertile window are out as we'll be away, but we could try the night before we leave and the night we get back, without temping or opks. It'd take some of the stress and not-so-romantic aspects out of ttc ("DH, I know you're tired and you have to get up early for work but we need to dtd tonight because I just poas and it's a really dark line, but we have to do it right now as I can barely keep my eyes open and we've only got 5 mins as DD might wake up" Shock Hmm Grin) We were super lucky conceiving DD the first cycle we ttc - I didn't temp, use opks, nothing - I just estimated my fertile window and dtd eod (just 3 times in total!!) Confused x

peardrop2 · 01/07/2015 20:30

Ah Ava that's what I said you should do Wink You'll be wayyyy more relaxed about it all too...especially on the 2ww!

AvaAmulet · 01/07/2015 21:00

I was so adamant I needed a long ttc break after the heartbreak of this last cycle. But I guess it's like shortly after I gave birth to DD (without any pain relief!) I swore I wouldn't put myself through that ever again, but after the pain passes and you have your beautiful baby in your arms you can't wait to do it all over again Blush even if I get bfn's for the next 20 months I have to keep trying, I just need to put less pressure on us and not obsess about every single twinge or phantom symptom...Hmm now that my temps have started reaching good heights on my chart, and therefore I'm not concerned about progesterone levels any more, I may stop temping too Wink x

ispyfispi · 01/07/2015 22:53

I think that sounds like a very sensible plan Ava. It's so easy to get caught up in the process and needing to know what's happening all the time but actually most people get pregnant just dtd moderately frequently. Oh how to be that relaxed about it though!

Zinnher · 01/07/2015 23:08

It is hard not to obsess over TTC. I just started and already driving myself crazy. Good luck for your test pear. So exciting!

peardrop2 · 02/07/2015 12:11

Buggery boo...extreme tiredness has. Kicked in at 9dpo. Not looking hopeful as this is a repeat of last month Confused

AvaAmulet · 02/07/2015 13:22

It's not over yet, Pear, maybe it's just the weather/long hours gardening?? Confused

My boobs are still achy and I still have an intermittent twinge close to my hip. Should I, somehow, forget in future 2ww's that these 'symptoms' are in no way linked to prenancy for me, please feel free to give me a gentle reminder virtual slap Hmm

peardrop2 · 02/07/2015 14:17

Thanks Ava but you know when you just know Hmm It's weird how I get this massive wave of tiredness that makes me feel so ratty a couple of days before AF arrives. I've only really picked up on it the last few cycles. DH is not enjoying it either Confused I should start spotting tomorrow so that may save me from testing on Saturday!

peardrop2 · 02/07/2015 14:18

And wasting a CB pregnancy stick!

Trinpy · 02/07/2015 16:49

I really really hope its just general tiredness pear (or maybe your body is exhausted from making a tiny baby?) and not a sign that af is on her way.

I had lots of ewcm yesterday and we were all set to dtd last night, then we ended up having a row (nothing serious, I think the heat and the pressure of scheduled sex was just getting to us both a bit Sad) so decided to call it a night. We'll have another attempt tonight and maybe once over the weekend then I'm officially done with this cycle!

peardrop2 · 02/07/2015 18:50

Trinpy - ooo that's exciting re the ewcm! Always a good sign Wink I hope now today is cooler that you'll be able to achieve a good dangle leg session Wink Thanks...I've had a quick nap and feel loads better. I am expecting the worse tomorrow but I've still got hope. I think I'm just dreading a bfn because I know how upset I'm going to feel and I can't seem to put thoughts on anything else but that negative thought!

I found 2 cheapie ic hidden in my suitcase today whoop woop! I'm still going to try and hold out to test on Saturday. It's going to be tough though...I'll have to pee really quickly tomorrow morning lol

AvaAmulet · 02/07/2015 21:02

Oh, Trinpy, been there HmmFlowers x

Good luck with the testing, Pear Wink x

Had a colleague (one of the same ones from a few weeks ago) ask me again today if I'm "going to have another one?" Like it's that easy....She's the one who 'advised' me that it's so much better to have a smaller gap Hmm tried my 'just focussing on DD right now' response, but then she asked if I wanted another one Blush I said ''If it happens it happens, if it doesn't then we're happy with our lot..." I'm not going to tell a colleague that I've been trying for another one, because I actually wanted a smaller gap, for the past 20 blimmin' months - and feeling like I'm failing big time to A) conceive (obvs) and B) cut down sufficiently on feeds to ttc Hmm

She's a lovely lady, 60, never had children (never wanted to), so I expect she just thinks it is that easy. If I actually had a baby every time I'd like to have one I'd be the old woman who lived in a shoe by now Confused x

Trinpy · 02/07/2015 22:30

Some people really don't seem to realise how insensitive it is to ask people such personal questions. It must be tough for you to have to deal with though Ava Thanks.

I've done my dangly legs bit for the day. Now just got to hope that I've managed to get the timing right at last!

I really came on just to remind Pear to pee straight away and without any sticks tomorrow morning. In case you were tempted Wink.

AvaAmulet · 02/07/2015 23:01

Good luck Trinpy Wink x
