Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Thanks Mumo! Smile

Feeling a bit down in this 2ww already tbh - at the prospect of another bfn, and another cycle (or more) - I'm trying to stay hopeful, but where has it got me in past cycles? Nowhere, I'm still here Sad Nevermind, I'm finishing work shortly and I know that as soon as DD looks at me with her big gorgeous grin and wraps her arms around me I'll forget about all for a while Grin

Mumof1sofar · 17/06/2015 19:57

Ava don't feel down, this could be your month! After all your dtd you deserve to be lucky Smile fx for you

AvaAmulet · 17/06/2015 20:28

Thanks Mumo Grin really hope it is, but if it's not then we've got to get our bfp over the next 2 months - August marks 1 year of serious ttc (October will mark 2 years of tt catch the first egg/ttc... Shock) and we've cut down on feeding sooo much Confused x

AvaAmulet · 17/06/2015 21:03

TMI Alert just been googling thick, white lotion-like cm in 2ww, as I don't recall ever having cm like this before and wondered what was going on with me today - it looks like it's an indication of good progesterone, from what I've read, which is a relief if it's true, as low progesterone as a result of still bf'ing has been a worry for me. Has anyone else got any experience of this?? Any info to share?? (And there's me saying I wouldn't ss this cycle Hmm)

Mumof1sofar · 17/06/2015 21:42

Sounds like a good sign Ava! I definitely noticed more cm this time! Smile

AvaAmulet · 17/06/2015 21:49

Ooh! Wow! Trying not to get my hopes up though Mumo Shock Grin

peardrop2 · 17/06/2015 23:17

Hi. Another late night dangling struggle over here Confused At least the box is ticked and I can go and fill in my apps Grin

Ava - isn't creamy cm just a sign that you're not fertile in your cycle right now? I really hope it is a good sign for you!! Smile

peardrop2 · 17/06/2015 23:22

Trinpy - that's a v nice positive story!! It could definitely be happening to me! My cycles have clearly not settled. It took me 4 months to conceive after coming off the pill and I never even saw AF so I must have caught the first egg. My body is clearly sensitive!

Honestly, if I don't see a smiley face tomorrow morning I may flush the holder down the loo...well maybe not but I would be tempted to reach for a hammer or something Wink

AvaAmulet · 17/06/2015 23:53

Pear, it's a sign of progesterone apparently, hence seeing it after ov. That's why I'm pleased there's been a lot of it, as I don't recall having any in previous cycles, and I think it's a really good sign that my progesterone levels be increasing since cutting down dramatically with breastfeeding - and fx I'll get my bfp by the end of the summer (when I'm hoping to have weaned completely) Grin

peardrop2 · 18/06/2015 05:29

No stupid smiley face. So depressing ConfusedConfusedConfused

peardrop2 · 18/06/2015 05:41

Wow...back in March I had 14 days of high fertility with a 39 day cycle!! If this is a repeat then it means I won't see a peak until Tuesday ConfusedConfusedConfused I had a 11 day dpo that month!

peardrop2 · 18/06/2015 05:49

Again...back in March it was a surprise so I hadn't dtd on the lead up to it and only the 2 peak days which maybe was too late...who knows. Going to dtd eod until Wednesday now. DH will be pleased...not Hmm This will be our record breaking month Shock

peardrop2 · 18/06/2015 07:53

Ahhh life is fun!!! I only have 4 sticks left !!!!!! Shock I'm going to have to test eod on the days that I'm not dtd to make them last!!

Trinpy · 18/06/2015 10:08

I hope you ov soon pear. The boring waiting to ov part in wtf cycles is the worst bit! Especially if you're dtd eod.

That sounds really positive Ava. How many times a day are you bf now?

I completely forgot to bf ds this morning, suddenly remembered during breakfast so I gave him a cup of cows milk and he happily had that (normally he hates cows milk). I think I'm just going to play it by ear over the next few days in case he wants to bf again but I think he may have stopped for good Shock.

Ovulation looks set for Sunday but god knows how we're going to ttc this month. Dh has been leaving for work at 9am and not getting back until past midnight all week! I did mention that it's shagathon week to him yesterday and he looked a little bit like he was going to cry Confused. If he's really knackered I think we might just skip this month!

AvaAmulet · 18/06/2015 10:58

Hi Trin! Thanks Grin

It varies from day to day - it can still range anywhere from twice in 24 hours to 6 times!!! (the majority of those being over night when she's bunged up or coughing and I can't offer 'boobie or prize?' as an option at e.g. 3am....Confused)

Great news from you on the breastfeeding front, Trinpy! Well done! Grin Star Good luck for ov if you do manage to dtd Wink

I woke up this morning with a cold, fuzzy mouth - I must have slept with my mouth open!!! Duh!! so that temp went out the window Hmm

peardrop2 · 18/06/2015 11:15

Ava - ooooooooh stuffy nose Wink At this rate you'll be getting a bfp the day I get a smiley Grin

Trinpy - Thank you so much! Your encouragement story has made me feel so much better knowing that it could still happen this month and that I've just got to keep going. I've prepped DH this morning and he said we've probably got another 4 times and he thought I said another 4 months...his face of shock was priceless Grin god I hope we've not got another 4 months of TTC Shock Good luck with your weekend dtd. I'm sure your DH will feel better when it's the weekend Wink

AvaAmulet · 18/06/2015 11:20

Hadn't thought about a stuffy nose being the cause of it?? oooh....Shock nose seems clear today today though... Confused

Normal cm for this time of month today Sad- might have something to do with DD feeding 4 times during the night last night (compared to the minimum of 6 hour stretches between feeds we had the previous couple of nights) Hmm

peardrop2 · 18/06/2015 11:26

Ava - you're going to send yourself mad Grin Try and remember that what will be will be because you can't dtd anymore. I know how you feel though Wink

peardrop2 · 18/06/2015 11:27

How many days have you got left until you expect AF?

waxweasel · 18/06/2015 12:11

Hello again! Sorry, have only skimmed the thread but so sorry you're still awaiting the elusive smiley pear. And Ava, the pp was right - the deed is done or not done now! Try not to read too much into things or you'll go nuts - though I'm exactly the same so I'm hardly following my own advice ;)

Am currently sat next door to our estate agents waiting for them to release the keys to our new house - eeee!!! I went shopping while I waited and found myself browsing the pregnancy tests in superdrug. Managed to stop myself buying them - I know if they're in the house I'll be poasing like a thing possessed and I must wait!

Sending strength and luck and positive hormones to all. Good luck to those in shagathon week!

AvaAmulet · 18/06/2015 12:56

I'm only 4 dpo Blush

Decided I'm going to test next Weds (DH's birthday and also the day I expect AF to show up) then if it's a BFN (which I'm sure it will be) I'm going to use my remaining 3 pg tests every day until 14 dpo if AF doesnt arrive in the meantime Wink

Yay for house keys, Wax! Whoop whoop!!! Exciting!!! Grin

waxweasel · 18/06/2015 13:01

Thanks Ava :) still waiting....and snap, I'm 4dpo too!

Right, can I vent about fertility friend? So. The pregnancy monitor thing. If you put in signs like CM or secondary signs then it says things like '21% of women with positive pregnancy charts had this sign at 4dpo' or whatever. But that is meaningless unless it also tells you how many women with BFN cycles also had that symptom! So yesterday it said 'oh, 21.4% of BFP women had creamy CM like you on 3dpo'. And I thought oooo exciting....but then realised, what if like 75% of women who got bfn had creamy CM on 3dpo?! Why don't they include those stats too?!

AvaAmulet · 18/06/2015 14:34

Oh Wax, yes you absolutely can vent. I'm glad I don't use FF (I use the v.basic MyDays app) - I'd drive myself even more crazy Shock I had so many 'symptoms' in March and let myself be just a little bit absolutely convinced hopeful that I might actually be pg - and it came to nothing Confused

waxweasel · 18/06/2015 14:37

I know - I think I need to stop looking! Every day I'm like oooo! I wonder what FF says today?! And obviously it says nothing because I am still only 3/4/5 dpo or whatever, and it's not psychic!

AvaAmulet · 18/06/2015 15:04

Haha! I know, I think google is psychic as well and can tell me everything I want to know and totally in my favour too Hmm I'm glad I'm not the only one Wink
