Yes, we know all about how emotional and hard it can be! All the pros and cons, all about missing Aunty Flo's and wtf cycles with no ovulation, all about children being cute and pointy. No matter if you are five months or twenty months down the breastfeeding timeline, if you're ttc again, this is the thread to join! Welcome! Smile

Mumofone - Zita West. Read it here. Probably best taken with a pinch of salt Wink - m.huffpost.com/uk/entry/4419298

Luckily for couples trying for a baby, the opposite is true. “I often find with couples all of the sex is limited to the fertile window. Many couples don’t have sex at all after ovulation for two or more weeks, and start sex again when they are close to ovulation. This means that much of the sperm will be dead. It is so important to keep the sperm moving so that it is fresh and healthy when required ” says Zita.
Plenty of sex also releases fertility hormones in men and women, so if you’re trying for a family, more is better. Don’t just focus on your ovulation window though, bear in mind sperm survive inside your body for 3-5 days or even longer so aim to have sex at least three times a week, which will provide a constant flow of sperm inside the fallopian tubes.

Wax and Ava - I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with weaning and that you have to cut down at all Hmm It is cruel that we're in this position! I hope you can both fall pregnant with a small amount of feeding like so many ladies have done on this thread! Sometimes I feel like a bit of a cheat being on here when I stopped be 2/3months ago Blush

waxweasel · 10/06/2015 20:31

Ladies - I am clearly pumping out pheromones. DH had dispatched me to the corner shop for oven cleaner (sexy times). A pretty rough looking guy in the corner shop followed me around a bit weirdly then spent ages dithering at the till. Then we had this conversation:

Him: sorry I'm taking so long babe.
Me: er...what? That's fine. Don't worry.
Him: you have an amazing smile you know
Me: cringing oh...er...thanks
Him: you remind me of my solicitor. I thought you were her for a moment
Me: ok...i'm not your solicitor
Him: she's great, she always gets me off
Me: ok...
Him: i have SUCH a crush on my solicitor
Me: ...

I told DH who pissed himself laughing and said 'awww, it's because you look clean'. Wtf?

waxweasel · 10/06/2015 20:33

And thanks for the moral support pear. I dont feel too bad about weaning as I was ready to do it anyway, regardless of ttc...it's just so difficult to make it happen!

ispyfispi · 10/06/2015 21:22

Wax that's hilarious! How random ??

And your nap times sound just like ours....

Eggs, what fantastic news! How nice to be that little bit further on, those early weeks seem to pass so slowly. I hope all goes well for all you pregnant ladies.

Trin, I hope we both manage to invoke the law of sod Grin

So I'm packing for holiday, very light clothes wise but have a giant wash bag of sanpro incase af lingers longer than usual and my cb opk thingy to start at the end of the week. So I think I'm on cd5 today, cycles usually 28-30days so I plan to start testing on Friday (cd7) does that sound right? When ttc dc3 I assumed for my average cycle I would ovulate around day 14 but after 5 months of dtd around that time and nothing happening I realised I might be ovulating earlier and sure enough we conceived the cycle we started dtd sooner. Could be coincidence of course!

cries for those with no bfps and those with bfps and for those who have given up bfing and those who haven't.

Wax - hah hah Grin You should have told DH he was a fitty!

AvaAmulet · 10/06/2015 21:53

Wax, Sounds soooo much like my DD, although she doesn't use me as a pacifier so much any more tg! Shock

AvaAmulet · 10/06/2015 22:00

Aww re the criminal with the massive crush on Wax lol Grin Grin Grin

AvaAmulet · 10/06/2015 22:01

Hope you're okay, August Flowers x

waxweasel · 10/06/2015 22:38
Grin

August, hope you're ok. Gin is a good happy drink choice, at least. My MIL recently bought me a bottle of pink cranberry gin for no reason at all - I would recommend.

peardrop2 · 10/06/2015 22:39

Can someone please tell my DH to get his arse upstairs???? seriously?! Why are we faffing around on dtd night? Confused

Wax - your MIL sounds ace Grin

waxweasel · 10/06/2015 22:41

Ispy, on the clearblue website there was a calculator I used to tell me when to start opking...my cycles are random and long, 29-41 days but ave 35. I started day 9 and had 4 days of low readings before my high on day 13. I'd rather start early so I'm definitely covered, but that's just me!

waxweasel · 10/06/2015 22:43

She is! She also believes she is a native american. She isn't - she's an old lady from Lancashire.

Pear's DH, get your arse upstairs!!! If you want pear, I could always pop out and see if that crim is still looking for some action? :)

AvaAmulet · 10/06/2015 22:45

I didn't get a positive on my opk today like I expected to, and was looking at a 13 day LP. If I ov later than tomorrow my LP isn't going to look good...Hmm I'm not feeling motivated at all this month, despite all my best intentions things aren't panning out at all like I'd hoped....Sad Blush Confused

peardrop2 · 10/06/2015 23:11

Aww but Ava tomorrow would be a 12dpo and that's totally expectable isn't it? That's what I'll have, 12 dpo.

peardrop2 · 10/06/2015 23:12

Wax - oh hahhahah! I bet I don't look anything like his solicitor Wink

ispyfispi · 11/06/2015 00:04

Fx for you getting a +ive tomorrow Ava....

Wax I'd definitely rather start sooner rather than later too!

We're on the gin here too tonight! A little one before bed as we're finally done packing, phew! A very nice plum gin too Smile

peardrop2 · 11/06/2015 06:40

Wax - got my 3rd flashing smiley this morning so you're not alone!

Ava - how are you doing?

All this gin talk is making me want a gin and tonic Grin I have lost 1lb this week!

peardrop2 · 11/06/2015 07:00

My mum is staying with us tonight so we're skipping dtd tonight. It feels weird to be skipping when I'm fertile but I'm also half wondering whether a break would be good for us because normally we try ED and so far we've done 2 nights so hopefully I've got some guys or girls waiting already Wink We will resume business on Friday and Saturday.

waxweasel · 11/06/2015 07:54

Argh fourth day of flashing smiley!!! Stop flashing already!! Spotted some ewcm last night so was so sure today would be the day Sad

waxweasel · 11/06/2015 07:55

And sounds v sensible pear! Im craving a day off too...

Mumof1sofar · 11/06/2015 08:30

Thanks pear - interesting reading. Dh & I better start doing it again then in preparation for next month.

Lol wax!!! How random!

Ispy where are you off on holibobs?

Wax I once got 9 flashing smileys in a row before my fixed so I feel your pain!

I had a really vivid nightmare last night about dc! Scary Confused Never been so relieved to hear her on the monitor this morning!
